It’s a shame she doesn’t run her business as well as she scrapbook. I think she has been the biggest influence on my scrapbooking “style” and I like her relaxed approach and that she has a use what you have approach I have taken a couple of her paid classes and enjoyed them but more recently have drifted away because I am NOT a fan of Disney and also the “ chatty” side of her livestreams . I usually just skip straight to look at the finished layout . I think she could continue on her current setup and what she does well , or bite the bullet and expand to getting some permanent help with the business side so she can deliver on her promises. Of course that’s easy for the armchair critic in me to say and I have NO IDEA of her true circumstances

Are you sure about Michael’s? I thought she said Joann’s. She definitely said Michael's in the most recent live. That's interesting- I used to see her stuff at Joann's. I'm guessing it's because of J's financial situation and possible bankruptcy?

She has her latest line at J's (or parts of it at least) in the Designer Destination, her comment about M's was more that they are carrying more of her product now than they have previously.

I'm fairly new to Shimelle as a content provider. I watch her weekly lives (mostly recorded) and I usually enjoy them. If it gets too OT for me, I just fast forward. I like her layouts. I don't scrapbook children theater or disney but I learn from what I see her create.
I have only paid for one of her classes and it went well. Based on the current feedback, I would never sign up for a class until it has reached its completion unless it was so good that I was ok with the inconsistency.
I am often amazed at how creatives run businesses FOR MONEY and expect their customers to cut them miles of slack when they don't deliver as promised. Their inability to meet deadlines becomes their business model. I want to support creative businesses but I want them to operate as businesses. When my money is exchanged I have expectations. Are creatives too "artistic" to meet deadlines?" Is this an unreal expectation? Could this be a another reason that our industry is dwindling?

I think this is why Ali is so successful. For as long as I have been following her (since 2002ish) she has been creating content regularly. She doesn’t miss deadlines, her content is always on time and usually exceeds expectations, and she rarely has to apologize for mistakes. Obviously, she is wildly talented as well, but her business model works because she delivers on her promises year after year, project after project.

She’s made a few brief off-the-cuff remarks about things that sounded like she was struggling with her appearance (like when she cut bangs? She said something about not liking how her face looked, and it being a rash choice or something). It’s pretty relatable. I’d also be rushing to get my face off the camera if I had to film videos.

This. She is very busy enjoying WB and where he is in life right now. I don’t think she is at all unhappy, but pulled in a few different directions, and being a little self conscious, but enjoying this stage in life.
