Good Morning Pokeys! Linda what a bummer that DS won't be on leave while you are there, I hope you've arrived safely and are enjoying time with DD. kitbop I can't imagine how you manage to get everything sorted, living so far away. That would be so hard. I'm in for a crop this weekend! No Chiefs game this week so any time works for me grammadee you pack for a crop the way I do. Lots of choices, I know I won't use them all, but I like having them. Until I get to the crop and get so little done lol. So for me, less is better at a crop lol. I've been thinking about signing up for the monthly local crop. To work on my cards if nothing else, but also just getting that focused time helps so much. Enjoy your weekend!! nylene I'm so happy to hear things are settling down for you. And that DH's eye is doing well. You two have been through a lot lately! I do believe Alex needs a cat lol. kellyr21 - yay for your own car! That sounds great, being able to take yourself away from all the construction. I hope it's done before the holidays too. I had to pause and remember that you have warm weather all year, so they don't have to stop constructing because of the cold lol. Ugh, the noise though gets so annoying and just grates. knutschen your pups are adorable! That's so good that she vomited up the fabric, whew! Poor baby. Your class sounds fun too. I really need to look into what's available here. My work schedule pretty much ruins things like that though. I don't even know where this week has gone. I can't believe it's Thursday already. I'm going to be keeping an eye on Rudy and getting him to bed while Cody plays a show tonight. I think I'll bring my knitting. Maybe I can get somewhere on that blanket lol. I've been decluttering lately, doing some deeper cleaning, nesting and getting ready for winter maybe? I also need to get some photos printed which could help with the low mojo. I have a little before work, I think I'll putter around and clean stuff up, maybe something will shake loose Waving Hi and hoping everyone has a wonderful day!

Happy Thursday! Waving hi to you all! Well, this week have been surprising quite around here so I have been able to get some things done and just relax more. Thank God! LOL! nylene, I have been taking lots of M's classes and to answer your question from a while back, I haven't done any of the crafts. LOL! I just enjoy watching them. Today, I have two classes- a wood burning deco class and an ornament deco class. It is so neat to see all these different crafts some of whom I have never seen before. Today, I will be playing with art and paint and doing a little house work. Here is a puzzle I finished a couple of weeks ago. Isn't she cute? Puzzle by Kelly Roberts, on Flickr

knutschen , I just reread my last post and realized that I called your Zoe a kitty. I think I had kitty on the brain. We had been taking care of the neighbor's cats (4) for over a week. Sorry, I knew Zoe was a dog! My brain has been a bit scattered this week. I have had a UTI which always makes me feel brain-scrambled! Or the antibiotic does! kellyr21 , I'm glad you seem more settled at home now. I had to giggle about all the classes you are taking, but haven't made anything. You and I are more alike than I knew. I enjoy watching some fun crafts, but don't always have the gumption to get up and do them! I'm happy to hear you have had a more relaxing few days without all the noise. I love that puzzle. I think it even looks like you! So cute. joyfulnana , I'd love to get Alex and Rudy together. I think they have a lot of similar characteristics. I kept Alex after school one day this week while his mom was at a Dr. appt. I had been going through my Cub Scout stuff in the basement and brought up a Cartesian Diver we made several years ago. I emptied it and taught him how to remake it. He was having a great time trying catch the diver. I told him to take it home to see if his dad could do it. Without even batting an eye he replied, "He can't do it. It doesn't have a keyboard!" I thought DH would fall over laughing. Doug is a computer guru who can do anything with technology...but change a lightbulb...hammer a nail? Linda , I hope you are having a great visit and that you are both well. Enjoy the getaway! I have finally been able to see some of the cards you have done this month. You must have been caught up with Cardtober when you left. You have done some beautiful cards. grammadee , are you still getting snow? We have had flurries on and off all week, but they just leave a skiff on the lawn. It has been really cold though. My knees are warning me that winter is on the way! Did you get all the produce in before the freeze? A neighbor brought me 2 big bags of apples so I have made a big apple crisp and we have sliced apples with dinner every night. kitbop, sending hugs to you! I'm heading to bed early tonight. Hopefully I will have more energy tomorrow! Have a great weekend, everyone.

Today, I will be playing with art and paint and doing a little house work. Here is a puzzle I finished a couple of weeks ago. Isn't she cute? SOOOO cute! I would love that puzzle! I just wish she were crafting or quilting...but the retro tapes speak to me too joyfulnana - I too have been slowly decluttering at home since I got back from my Mom's. Not a lot since I'm just not up to it, and what's discouraging is that every.single.day. more stuff comes INTO this house (5 people) than I get rid of! This week we added Halloween costumes, plants and knick knacks from well-wishers (and they are beautiful and appreciated, I just have a very small house!), boots moving upstairs for the coming winter season (sandals take up so much less space it makes summer seem more spacious. Note to self - scrapbook page title, "spacious summer" - can talk about how life moves outdoors, open skies, feeling of vacation, less bulky clothing...) nylene - ohmigosh, you have just sent me into a tizzy of activity. I TOTALLY forgot it was Saturday = farmers market = need a bushel of apples! I literally turned to DH and said "we gotta leave!" Hope to see some of you later today in the online crop! If tomorrow would be better...I can change that day...let me know?

kellyr21 I love that puzzle! She's so cute and yes, that cassette brings back sooo many memories. I remember how angry I was when cassettes came on the scene and my beloved LP's and 8-track tapes become obsolete lol. I had no idea Michaels had so many different types of classes! OMG nylene I laughed so hard at Alex saying that about his dad! LOLOLOL. grammadee I hope you and justjac are enjoying your crop! Linda I hope you are having a wonderful time and getting wonderful relaxation on your visit! kitbop your page about summer spaciousness sounds clever and would be such a different perspective, I hope you do it. I hope you can figure out what to do with all the "extra" that is coming in right now. I bring in way too much with little thought until I look around and think, "so where's this going to go?" lol I hope everyone is doing well. Sorry I missed the crop. I was looking forward to that! I've been moving from the bedroom to the living room to lay around and sleep since Friday evening. I decided to test again today - covid. It got me. Two positive and the false negative yesterday. Which would be no big deal usually, except that Rudy and his very pregnant mom stopped by to pick up his Halloween costume from me yesterday, and were here about 20 minutes when I thought I had something, not covid. Mom isn't freaking out, and they all tested once I knew and so far so good. She said they will test again in a couple days. I've offered to let Bub isolate with me here if he pops positive. Lots of sleep, campbell's alphabet soup with a million crackers in it and grilled cheese has been the menu here lol. My symptoms are mild I would say, mostly body aches and feeling a bit feverish now and then, just really blah feeling.

joyfulnana, we missed you at the crop. I am so sorry that Covid got you! I hope it doesn't get any worse than it is right now. This was not in your plans, I know! I hope Rudy and his mom avoided the virus this time. We don't want her having that baby in quarantine. It was so nice to see knutschen, kitbop and gramma online. I always learn new little ideas and tricks from the chats. I got all my Sheetload cards made so I felt like it was fruitful in a crafty way too. Tomorrow is the school Halloween party and I am helping Em with Alex's class. I think I'm getting too old for this. I love doing it, but it's two flights of stairs up carrying our stuff. My knees are screaming at me by the time we get home.

joyfulnana, I hope you get better soon! kellyr21, I am glad you finally have some quiet! I have been having lots of construction in my neighborhood since August. They were jackhammering the street in front of my house for about a month. At least now it have moved down the street a little so it isn’t so loud. I love you puzzle! It is cute! nylene, I hope your UTI gets better and your brain less scattered. I enjoyed the online crop last night and loved chatting with kitbop, gramma & nylene. I hope to do that again soon. I have been cleaning and listening to my audiobook most of the day. I am currently at the coffee shop relaxing. For some reason, I am a week ahead in my brain. I told my husband last night that we got an extra hour of sleep. I keep thinking Monday is Nov. 7th. This morning I woke up and wondered why my phone didn’t automatically change the time. It wasn’t till I saw the bathroom clock that I realized I was off a week in my head! Geez. I told my husband so he didn’t start changing clocks this morning.

I am home from the LSS crop. Took a large tub, a tool tray and three wheelie totes. Finished (except for some finishing touches) 28 pages, and they all fit into a shoulder bag. There is a lesson there, somewhere... No, joyfulnana. Not another sick POKEY! Hoping your symptoms stay mild and that you are on the mend soon. Please get enough rest, even when you feel like you have recovered. I have heard horror stories about people who tried to do too much too soon. Would have loved to have met you at the on line crop, knutschen. I hope you can join us another time! That sounds like a cool idea for a scrapbook page, kitbop. Now that I have acquired the 49 & Market Vintage Countryside paper I need to find some good photos of my dMIL to use with it. I am thinking I will do the same as for her sister who passed away last month: create a big pocket I can slip the eulogy into and then go ahead and decorate the two pages. Maybe add a few memories that are not in the eulogy. nylene, I hope your knees forgive you for the workout you are giving them tomorrow. But I know you will have a blast with the kids! My back and knees are all angry at me for lugging scrapbook stuff around and sleeping in a bed away from home. I lay down for a bit when I got here and already I can feel some of the knots in my upper back loosening up. Would love to see your art work, kellyr21. I didn't do much artistically on my pages. Did a little painting with water brushes and VB art crayons on one LO and some stenciling on a couple others. Waving to the other pokeys. Heading back to lie in bed and watch some mindless TV.

kitbop I'm still at the blecky hard to stay upright for long stage, but it Does feel like it's easing. No, joyfulnana. Not another sick POKEY! Hoping your symptoms stay mild and that you are on the mend soon. Please get enough rest, even when you feel like you have recovered. I have heard horror stories about people who tried to do too much too soon. I thought the same thing - another sick Pokey lol. And no worries on me doing too much. I'm so mad at no scrapping this weekend that I'm not going back to work until I've had at least one day at home puttering around because I feel good it did feel good to know I'm vaxxed and boosted and I didn't worry that I would die. And it sounds like I should say the same to you about getting rest! nylene and grammadee I hope your knees get over their angriness quickly and that UTI clears up as well nylene! knutschen bummer I missed you! Maybe soon!
