Now that I have seen it in several YouTube videos, it really reads as a pink to me. I think the Festive Berries one reads more red. View AttachmentAt least on my iPad and PC those look somewhat different to my eyes then the inks in real life. I have all the colors except the new one, obviously.

I am hopeful that this one will be at least close IRL to what I imagine it to be. Tim mentioned "cherry red" and "crimson" which are two of my favourite cs colours from different manufacturers.
I was a bit taken aback when he displayed where it fits in the distress spectrum, b/c I see Barn Door as more of a browny red, and Festive Berries with more tones of pink. But I will get this one, for sure. Wanted something "redder" than Candied Apple.

When I saw this YouTuber use it on a card and then she used embossing powder it looked more red, but for now I don't needed it. My LSS will have it with swatches of it, so I can see it in real life before I buy it.

We just can’t be sure what a color will look like from a screen, and reds are some of the toughest. I ordered Distress and Oxide ink pads, the Oxide re-inker and the glaze, but skipped the rest for now.

I listen to what he and a few of the most experienced crafters/artists say about colors more than what is shown sometimes.

My order from The Funky Junkie Boutique arrived very quickly, first order from her.
I’ve only swiped Distress and Oxide pads onto a piece of mystery CS in the kitchen but will compare to other reds in the next day or three and try on different cardstocks.
No pink undertone to my eyes. Colors change to our eyes as we age, but so far I don’t think there’s been much change, given conversations with a few people who went through the same color program that I did. (We look at the same colors and describe.) But I am well aged 😳 so who knows.

I would like to hear what you have to say. Candied red looks really bright to me. Barn door looks a little too brown. So I'm thinking the Lumberjack is going to be good. I have it in my ACOT cart just waiting.

I bought the glaze embossing powder stuff but not the inks or the sprays because I feel like I have comparable reds that’ll work for me. I’d love to see evidence as to why I must have this color too!

I'd also love to see the comparison. I also feel like I have enough reds, and this one looked to have pink undertones on my monitor, but I am always open to being enabled.

I ended up buying BOTH formulations of lumberjack plaid I was just...curious! Here are my red-reds laid out on white CS. NOTE: viewed on an iphone, the colour representation is GOOD. My son's laptop is also true to colour. On my laptop, it's NOT a good representation, but then I know my laptop has sucky (dull, unsaturated) colour. So take your device into account when viewing these. The only colour here that isn't well represented is Catherine Pooler "Rouge" - it's NOT that dark, although darker than the rest. red ink comparison2 by kirstendrew, on Flickr Overall: - very close to Catherine Pooler Rockin' Red but a *little* "tiny bit" more orange. - A little LESS BLUE than lawn fawn lobster. - Definitely less orange and more true to red than Festive Berries. I think it's my new red favourite guys!

Thanks for taking one for the team and buying both inks kitbop! Your colour swatches are really helpful, I'm not seeing any of the pink undertones that were so obvious in the other samples I've seen, and unfortunately for my wallet, it looks like the kind of red I really like.

I know it falls towards yellow, but a chartreuse would be great. It’s one of my favourite colours, but difficult to find in any medium. And as ever, I want a proper scarlet or crimson. Have you seen Twisted Citron?
