I never want to hear another Republican talk about "values" again after who they have been voting for the last 5-6 years. Oh, but they will.
This is what I don't understand how can you be for family values and back Trump and so many others that he backs. Lying and cheater is the new norm and it's ok if you are a Republican lately. Such good Christian values there.

I was really hoping that Johnson, walker and MTG would lose but there are some positive outcomes as well Walker didn't win, did he? It looks like it's too close to call with Warnock slightly ahead. It’s looking like a runoff again this election

I know there's a bigger picture than my state, but I'm sad. Feeling completely hopeless. Lee and this. Same boat in Nebraska. Plus a horrible new Republican governor. What pisses me off about this the most is that Pillen would not debate Blood. I did my part and voted but knew that it wouldn’t matter in this conservative state. I really thought Pansing-Brooks might have a shot.

Roping Saunders county into the district, (thanks Republican gerrymandering) killed his chances. Republicans are experts at local control. The fact that Pillen wouldn't debate made me so angry.

I know nobody else cares, but I’m pretty disappointed that our Trumpy conservative candidates won the school board election. They advertised as a “trio” and there were too many other candidates that split the votes. ETA that the attorney general race in MN is very close right now. Thankfully our Democratic governor won. The rest were all as expected but of course I wish that the democrats in my area had won. Oddly, as disappointing as the Texas results have been, there are several notable districts here where the book-banning candidates didn’t win. I’m going to take my positives where I can get them. Such as here! Whew. So thankful for that, at least. If we're really honest, that probably has more impact on my day-to-day life anyway. It's a bigger gratitude than I'd expected, I think.

Interesting two minutes... 'We did this to ourselves': Right-wing host tells GOP election official Dems 'not stealing it' David Edwards November 09, 2022 Right-wing radio host John Fredericks and a GOP election official agreed on Wednesday that Republicans could only blame themselves for underperforming in the midterm elections. After the so-called "red wave" failed to materialize, a Virginia election official named Mark called into Fredericks' show to disagree with other callers who blamed voting machines for Republican losses. After the so-called "red wave" failed to materialize, a Virginia election official named Mark called into Fredericks' show to disagree with other callers who blamed voting machines for Republican losses. "I just want to let all the people who are calling in about the machines now; I'm one of those guys too," Mark said. "I was able to ask questions and I was able to identify the entire process and what I saw was a very clean process." I validated the count from the machines," he continued. "And I'm aware of what goes on. And I have to question now, you know, is it the machines? What I did see yesterday was a massive turnout of Democrats. All I hear is Republicans are game day, game day." Mark questioned the Republican strategy of waiting until election day to vote. www.rawstory.com/john-fredericks-midterm-results/

The education of our nation's kids is vital to the health of our country, and it's in terrible shape in so many places. These idiots in charge of your school board are so dangerous. I'm very sorry.

Warnock's campaign, send postcards, whatever you can do to help him win the run-off. I donated a fair bit to him and other candidates throughout the country. Every election matters, not just the ones on our personal ballots. I'll be working to try to seat him in the Senate. Wrote tons of postcards for him a couple of years ago. Are there any other run-offs expected at this point? I'll help the Dems there too.

As I posted about Michigan voted for pro-choice so did others.. and Kansas had done it earlier.. In each of the five crucial state initiatives that implicate reproductive rights under state law, abortion rights won. Voters in California, Michigan and Vermont overwhelmingly opted to enshrine Roe in their state constitutions Tuesday night, as did, ruby red Kentucky, where abortion has been illegal since Dobbs came down in June," wrote Lithwick. Montana's ban is headed for a defeat as well. When the Supreme Court took away reproductive freedom, it was the first time in history that the courts took something away from Americans. Over 50 percent of the electorate said that they were furious about the decision. www.rawstory.com/reproductive-rights-mediac-conservatives/

Still not sure I know 100%. Our judges are all 'involved' in the courts, not anything political. Seems more like a County supervisor, but we really don't have that either..

Yes, it’s a county executive or supervisor, and oversees the county commissioners court (which is not a court of law, but more like a city council). Makes perfect sense, right? 🙄 Harris county has almost 5 million people in it, so it’s not an insignificant job.

Former is now blaming Melania,... The New York Times' Maggie Haberman chimed in on Twitter with her own dispatch that claimed the twice-impeached former president is now even blaming former first lady Melania Trump for some of his own poor endorsements. "Trump is indeed furious this morning, particularly about Mehmet Oz, and is blaming everyone who advised him to back Oz -- including his wife, describing it as not her best decision, according to people close to him," Haberman writes. www.rawstory.com/maggie-haberman-trump-2658622778/But, I'm sure he'd be delighted to share credit with her if they had won, right? Right?

In case you aren't fluent in TFG, I'll translate for you:
"I'm terrified that you'll run."
"I really believe he could hurt himself badly," Trump said of a potential DeSantis White House run. "I think he would be making a mistake, I think the base would not like it — I don’t think it would be good for the party."

I have been checking this one every few hours. What I would give to NOT hear that mean girl ever talk again as a representative. ETA: Looks like she's behind by 62 votes. Ugh.

FYI, apparently they sent the election workers home to sleep for the evening. So don't look for more updates tonight. Count resumes at 9AM MST. But what is left is Pueblo County, which is heavy for Frisch.

Frisch may have to pay for a recount if necessary. Maybe Kelly and Masto too...

“We know it was a steal we just don’t know how.”
It seems to me there has to be some proof that something was amiss before claiming something happened.
