One more question - do you all date anything within the month? i.e. put a date stamp or other something on specific stories or pages? Great question, and it's one that I pondered myself last year. I started off by putting a little round number label for the date on each photo, but didn't love the way it looked, so I took them off. I figured it didn't really matter as I was doing one week per double page spread, with a journal card on each spread with the week number and date range on it, so I had a rough idea of the dates. And if a date was significant, I would add it to the journalling. This year I plan to just do either monthly (so a journal card at the start of each new month with the name of the month), or just a run-on album with no defining week or month starting point. It's going to be more important for me to include dates in that format. I might go back to the little label, or use a date stamp on the photos or pocket card.

Well, already have at least one photo that will be on every spread (albeit a different photo each week): I think I've convinced DH that we should have a pic of us and our cat each week. (He's talking about shaving his beard in mid- to late March, so I told him we'll have record of it as it re-grows.)

I like to put a date on each photo or project life card only because I may skip a few days, weeks, or months of documenting.

Im back for another year of PL. I still have Oct-Dec to finish for '22, but should have them done quickly I think.
Which album are you using? 12x12 Album
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) SC DK kit with some AE thrown in for good measure.
What's your favourite thing about PL? The photos
What's your main struggle with PL? Having 'enough' stuff to include now that I am an empty nester. The kids dont send me much to include these days.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? DH's 50th birthday
Got any ideas for your title page? Not a clue.

What's your main struggle with PL? Having 'enough' stuff to include now that I am an empty nester. The kids dont send me much to include these days. So you still include photos of your kids (when they send them to you), even though they don't live at home? My DD has just bought her own home, she moved into it in mid-December. Before she moved out I was always asking her to send me photos, and I would "raid" her Instagram for photos to include. I was planning on still doing that, even now that she has moved out, and wondered if people would think it a bit weird!

Maybe not a lot but I try to include the ‘big stuff’ and a little of the every day. I figure they will want to be able to see those memories in my album one day. As they get older, I’m sure I might include less, but at 21 and 23, I still include them since we still are involved in knowing a lot of their day to day. Last year I included things like: DS1 new job - he sent me a photo from work DS1 new apartment DS1 got covid and included the photo he sent of his positive test and a screenshot of an Instagram story he posted of him being ‘sick’ but well enough to play video games. DS2 spent a week with his girlfriend in Seattle so I grabbed photos from Instagram from where they went. DS2 promotion - he’s military so there was a ceremony and his buddy took some photos because he knew we were too far away to go DS2 learned to surf and he had sent us a video. I screenshot some of it and got photos that way.

I have some 2023 balloons I brought back from last night's celebration and I'm hoping to keep them "alive" until I can use them for a few cute pup pics tomorrow. Especially for the foster dogs as I'd love to drum up some extra interest for them (no good adoption proposals for either yet). Here's to hoping the balloons survive the public transport ride! They made it through the firecrackers in the streets but can they hold up with the chaotic bus drivers? *dun dun duuun* Monday is right around the corner. First week of the year. Let's see if there's inspiration and motivation to get started! 1. Do you have any special gatherings or outings in the plans for the coming week? Any possible photo opportunities? 2. Have you found some inspiring or must-use products for the start of your brand new PL year? Maybe some new kit components you got in the mail or hoarded pretties you've been thinking about. 3. Title page builders, where are you at with the page design so far? Got an idea? Finished it already perhaps? Still need to shoot a family portrait?

1. Do you have any special gatherings or outings in the plans for the coming week? Any possible photo opportunities?I'm off until Wednesday so enjoying a few lazy days. As mentioned above, I'll be seeing the doggies tomorrow (always a lot of fun! - I envy you, dog owners, you're so lucky) so I'm hoping to take NY portraitss of them (as well as of us) and perhaps document a walk with them. Secular Epiphany is huge where I live and that means celebrating with three kings cake on multiple occasions. With family, with friends, at work, you name it. I definitely want to record that whole feasting-into-the-new-year as well. 2. Have you found some inspiring or must-use products for the start of your brand new PL year? Maybe some new kit components you got in the mail or hoarded pretties you've been thinking about.I have Studio Calico's December DK, Alpine Valley, waiting to be used and I plan on digging straight into that one. Very excited about the colour scheme for those cold, wintery January photos. 3. Title page builders, where are you at with the page design so far? Got an idea? Finished it already perhaps? Still need to shoot a family portrait?I have nothing going for it yet. Nada, zilch. Just the Paislee Press word art. Not too worried as I know I'll do it when the inspiration strikes (and it's hyper minimalist anyway). My main issue right now is figuring out whether I go 6x8 or 9x12. I have albums in both formats but my documenting brain isn't ready to commit just yet!

Which album are you using?
I cannot believe another year has past. So to be transparent, I NEVER started my 2022 album, which was a 9x12 blue Scrapbook.com album. The last thing I scrapped in 2022 was the week my dad died in my 2021. I'm proud of myself for processing the emotions attached to those photos; him in hospice, the visitation and funeral. But losing my dad in my 30s was way harder than I thought and it made me very drained. Then in September 2021, 6 months after my dad died, my husband was diagnosed with Colon Cancer. 34 years old. His doctor didn't want to do a colonoscopy because he's so young. He started chemo last December and had a section of his colon removed. Chemo and recovery moved into 2022 and we both still worked full-time! So, while I was able to scrapbook July 2021 photos of my dad's funeral. That's all I had energy for and I never started a 2022 album. Life was so busy happening to us. We had to just live it.
I have no idea if I'll ever go back and make a 2022 album. Maybe a small, Citrus Twist album? So for this year, I'll focus on a 6x8 mint album I had already from scrapbook.com that I bought in 2021. I want to focus on finding the energy to create and not put too much pressure on myself.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash)
I am still subbed to Paper Person/Kelly til July so I'll be getting those and I really need to focus on my stash!
What's your favorite thing about PL?
Reflecting on the good times
What's your main struggle with PL?
See first post!
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? We're going to England in October!
Got any ideas for your title page?
Prob pics of my cat

Which album are you using? I'm getting back into Project Life after a multi-year break, and I will be scrapping digitally. But I print in 8x8 or 12x12 when I print my books.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) Generally, one-time purchases. I've been away from scrapping for so long that so many of my supplies are quite old but still useable. I've been having a lot of fun seeing what's available now.
What's your favourite thing about PL? Ease and a set structure. I like the simplicity and flexibility of it as well as the fact that I can do quick layouts on my phone or hop onto my computer to do something more involved if I want.[/b]
What's your main struggle with PL? Finishing. I'm so motivated for the first couple of months, but I tend to falter in spring. Really going to try not to do that this year!
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? After twenty years of wanting to go, I'm going to see P!nk in concert in August. I cannot wait to document--there won't be too many photos as I'll want to be in the moment, but I'm so excited to write about it. I also started getting into miniatures as a hobby this year, so I look forward to documenting my first project.
Got any ideas for your title page? Not yet. Looking forward to seeing inspiration!

@cumber1137 I'm so sorry to hear this! That's so scary. My husband had some symptoms that match up with concerns for colon cancer, and the gastroenterologist he saw immediately got him in for a colonoscopy (and he was 25!). Fortunately, it was just some erosions in his colon that were causing the issues (we weren't always eating the healthiest and he was under a lot of stress at work at the time [we're definitely eating healthier now and he got a new job a few years ago - we're 32 now]). Sending you all the best wishes!

1. Do you have any special gatherings or outings in the plans for the coming week? Any possible photo opportunities? Just as many visits to the river / beach / pool as possible. DD is currently in Bali, and DS is at a mate's beach house, so i will be including some of their photos as well.
2. Have you found some inspiring or must-use products for the start of your brand new PL year? Maybe some new kit components you got in the mail or hoarded pretties you've been thinking about. Not yet. My favourite designer for this kind of thing, Just Jaimee, doesn't appear to be designing anymore. She hasn't released a Storyteller collection since August. I have a huge stash though, so I really shouldn't need to buy anything new.3. Title page builders, where are you at with the page design so far? Got an idea? Finished it already perhaps? Still need to shoot a family portrait? Nope, still waiting to see what challenges there are at The Lilypad MOC. I did, however, buy a template from Katie Pertiet on sale a couple of days ago, that would be a great closing page for my 2022 album. (Not that I usually do closing pages!) This Was 2022 Layered Template

Which album are you using? A 12x12 photobook from Blurb. I do monthly but I wondering if weekly would help catch small stories.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) Uhm... I don't use cards. I just have photos and journaling in white boxes. I have a digital stash and still buy supplies. I use them in my fun pages. I kind of want to use them in PL but I worry it would take me even longer.
What's your favourite thing about PL? I like capturing small things about our life. I think that is the stuff you want to remember most.
What's your main struggle with PL? Choosing photos and keeping up. It often feels like a chore that isn't appreciated. My family loves the books once they are printed but that is removed from the work.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? I hope we can do a small trip. No plans or milestones this year.
Got any ideas for your title page? I will wait to see if we get a good family photo. We did a photo session last year but won't be doing one this year.

@cumber1137 I'm so sorry for your loss and your DH diagnosis. Hugs to you. My child died in 2022 and I just couldn't continue either. I don't know if I will ever go back and scrapbook the very little photos I took last year. But I'm giving myself permission not to. I will begin again in 2023.

1. Do you have any special gatherings or outings in the plans for the coming week? Any possible photo opportunities? We will have the first family dinner of the new year at my mom's on Thursday. I think I want to take some pictures of everyone. This year, I really want to focus on my interpersonal relationships. And I feel like my journaling in December Daily really got me focusing on my emotions. I want to continue in that vein and bring it in to my project life. 2. Have you found some inspiring or must-use products for the start of your brand new PL year? Maybe some new kit components you got in the mail or hoarded pretties you've been thinking about. I signed up for Freckled Fawn this year. I thought that might be a fun choice to try. Last month they had a black and white kit and that was my very first kit. I'm looking forward to using that kit. I am a bright colors kind of person so a whole month of black and white papers and elements is a switch for me. I might even have to use it interspersed with colors. We will see. But I was definitely excited for the challenge of an all black and white kit. 3. Title page builders, where are you at with the page design so far? Got an idea? Finished it already perhaps? Still need to shoot a family portrait? I put together the beginnings of my OLW kit yesterday. I liked writing out all my intentions for the year. I'm tempted to do the same with my project life. Something about my intention to connect with others and write the important stories. I don't know if it's just that I've gotten in touch with my feelings lately, but I definitely want the people around me to know, definitively, how much I care for them.

1. Do you have any special gatherings or outings in the plans for the coming week? Any possible photo opportunities? None so far, we might try and go camping over MLK Jr weekend but I'm having trouble finding an available campsite.
2. Have you found some inspiring or must-use products for the start of your brand new PL year? Maybe some new kit components you got in the mail or hoarded pretties you've been thinking about. I've started to look through my extensive stash and found some really old (circa 2016) SC kits that I forgot I had (and forgot how much I loved the old SC kits) and will use them for January.
3. Title page builders, where are you at with the page design so far? Got an idea? Finished it already perhaps? Still need to shoot a family portrait? I'll probably use the photo we took on NYE of the 3 of us wearing 2023 glasses but beyond that I haven't really thought about it much yet.

I’m in for another year of PL, but I’m still working on 2022 right now and I can’t start a new year until I finish that. However, I do already have 2023 planned out.
Which album are you using? 9x12, probably a SC one from their big warehouse sale last year.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) The last few years have definitely been spending years so this year will be mostly stash busting. I have some partially used SC and PP kits, a few mystery Elle’s Studio kits, lots of digital cards that I print out as needed, plus a little stash of cards from previous kits/sales. I don’t have any subs so any new cards would be from one-off purchases.
What's your favourite thing about PL? I love using my love of photography to take unique photos of my daily life and then complementing them with coordinating colors of cards and embellishments to document my life, but in a way that allows me to be creative and have fun.
What's your main struggle with PL? I have trouble keeping up to date on PL while also taking on other seasonal and personal projects. I just want to do it all! (The reason I am so behind on 2022 may have something to do with deciding to do October Daily, December Daily, and multiple gift albums when I was already behind on PL…)
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? I have a wedding to attend in Colorado this summer so that will no doubt be fun to document. My favorite things to document are travel and outdoor adventures and I’m sure I’ll have lots of other fun trips to document this year too.
Got any ideas for your title page? I usually don’t do my title page until farther into the year but I always include the year and a picture of myself from some point in that year, along with my age and a few tidbits about my life at that point.

Which album are you using? A grey 12x12 album from scrapbook.com.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) I am on the Elle's Studio creative team, so I'll be using those products to document 2022. I tend to buy one-offs from a variety of places, too, and I know I'll be using some new and old AE SBTM kits to tackle 2023 PL. Documenting in "real time" is something I don't do much of, so I'm excited to try that a bit more this year. I'm also continuing to look back and tackle past years as well as any gaps. Right now, that's completing 2020 and starting 2017.
What's your favourite thing about PL? It's like a personal yearbook. I just love the chronological look-backs.
What's your main struggle with PL? Editing photos. I take way too many, and it takes hours to wrangle each folder into my favorite shots. At the same time, I like that my commitment to PL helps to clean up my photo files!
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to documenting in 2023? Nothing specifically, no. Just making forward progress on all fronts.
Got any ideas for your title page? I've been using the title page to highlight a favorite photo of each family member from that year, printed in black and white and paired with some coordinating patterned paper from my stash and number stickers. It's working for me. No urge to change right now...

Woohoo, half a century! That's a big milestone. Will you be throwing a party or taking a special trip for this occasion? The last thing I scrapped in 2022 was the week my dad died in my 2021. I'm proud of myself for processing the emotions attached to those photos; him in hospice, the visitation and funeral. But losing my dad in my 30s was way harder than I thought and it made me very drained. 2021 has been a very rough and taxing ride for you, @cumber1137 . I'm glad you've been able to process your feelings regarding your dad's passing and the photos you've taken of his final days and funeral. I can't imagine the added stress of the possibility of losing the other main man in your life. I hope your husband's road to complete remission continues to go smoothly and you two can find a little time in 2023 to just breathe and relax together. That UK trip sounds like just what you two need right now! May your 2023 PL be filled with photos of happy memories. I'm getting back into Project Life after a multi-year break Welcome back to the PL fold! I hope you'll have a blast getting back into this project. My favourite designer for this kind of thing, Just Jaimee, doesn't appear to be designing anymore. She hasn't released a Storyteller collection since August. Oh no, what happened? Was there an update on social media or in a newsletter about this? Choosing photos and keeping up. It often feels like a chore that isn't appreciated. My family loves the books once they are printed but that is removed from the work. *hugs* PL photos are a source of great admiration and great frustration. So much work goes into these - from taking them, selecting them, editing them, organising them to actually designing with them) and most of that is completely overlooked by those who get to sit back and enjoy the fruit of the PLabour at the end of the year... (But damn, we're addicted!) We will have the first family dinner of the new year at my mom's on Thursday. I think I want to take some pictures of everyone. This year, I really want to focus on my interpersonal relationships. And I feel like my journaling in December Daily really got me focusing on my emotions. I want to continue in that vein and bring it in to my project life. This sounds lovely, jeremysgirl , both the dinner and the opportunity to move into your 2023 interpersonal relationship documenting. You've done a lot of (hard) work this past year with your loss and it looks like you're reaping the benefits of your therapy and therapeutic projects. Wishing you the best photo and bonding opportunities with your fellow family dinner guests! I've started to look through my extensive stash and found some really old (circa 2016) SC kits that I forgot I had (and forgot how much I loved the old SC kits) and will use them for January. Those were SC's golden years... You'll be making some of us jealous working in the present day with those gorgeous kits. They were really something else! I have a wedding to attend in Colorado this summer so that will no doubt be fun to document. My favorite things to document are travel and outdoor adventures and I’m sure I’ll have lots of other fun trips to document this year too. Oooh, beautiful trip to look forward to. Such beautiful nature in Colorado and a happy celebration. You're going to have a blast playing with colour to document those photos! I've been using the title page to highlight a favorite photo of each family member from that year, printed in black and white and paired with some coordinating patterned paper from my stash and number stickers. It's working for me. No urge to change right now... It's a great formula and I see no reason to change it. At all. Reminds me of what Caylee Grey used to do for her PL title pages. I am on the Elle's Studio creative team, so I'll be using those products to document 2022. Congratulations on making the ES creative team, scrappieannie! You're going to have such a blast playing with all their pretties. Is that a typo or are you actually replaying last year to show off their goodies?

Which album are you using? 9x12 Album from scrapbook.com (I need to see how I am on page protectors)
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) Elles Studio, still have paper person, but considering canceling. doesn't seem like I will use much of the cards. it's FOMO that keeps me subscribing. I also have a stupid sized stash I could (and should) use.
What's your favourite thing about PL? Photos of daily life.
What's your main struggle with PL? repetitive photos. work/school/sports...repeat. need to document the daily stuff better.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Nothing comes to mind - 2022 was busy. 2024 will be busy.
Got any ideas for your title page? NOPE! I think I need to find some inspiration. My title pages are blah most of the time!

Which album are you using?
12x12 WRMK album
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) Stash, BH Project Life Metal Dies, BH Core Kits, and I have some digital ones I need to remember to use too. I mix straight and round corners.
What's your favourite thing about PL? You don't have to design an entire page. I put in lots of photos, some journal cards and sometimes a filler card that's embellished a bit.
What's your main struggle with PL?
Keeping up, but I don't really care either. I didn't do one page for 2022. Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Not yet.
Got any ideas for your title page? I don't do title pages. My albums are labeled beginning month/year - ending month/year.

Congratulations on making the ES creative team, scrappieannie! You're going to have such a blast playing with all their pretties. Is that a typo or are you actually replaying last year to show off their goodies? Thank you! And no, not a typo, haha. I did the same last year. The deadlines for my projects are the first of month, so January 1 for the January kit. It's hard to make real-time PL documenting work unless I try to document the month prior (December with January products), but that can get tricky with the colors and sentiments. It's OK. I've been documenting a year behind for a few years now, and I'm used to it.

Which album are you using? I bought a ton of Studio Calico 6x12 albums during a sale earlier this year, so I'll be using those for the foreseeable future.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) I still subscribe to Ali Edwards Story of the Month kits. It will be interesting to see how I use her 6x8 papers.
What's your favourite thing about PL? I love looking back and seeing all the things that happened through the years.
What's your main struggle with PL? Trying to stay caught up. I get FOMO about new projects through the year (WITL, DITL, etc), that I fall behind on PL.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Family vacation to Cozumel. My son turning 4.
Got any ideas for your title page? We had some family photos taken this past fall, that I think I'll use for my title page.

Let's kick things off with a few questions to share our PL plans for the coming year! Which album are you using? How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) What's your favourite thing about PL? What's your main struggle with PL? Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Got any ideas for your title page? RefugeePea convinced me to join this thread. What album are you using? I am using Heidi Swapp’s Stop The Blur memory planner system. PL has just been too much for me to keep up with and I always gave up. How are you getting cards this year? I will probably use printables from HS’s monthly subscription. What’s your favorite thing? Being able to document and track my life. What’s your main struggle with PL? Keeping up with it! Do you have any stories you’re already looking forward to documenting in 2023? DD #3 graduates from college in May, her graduation cruise with the women of our family. ABC date nights with DH. Visits with my grandson. I don’t have a title page, so that takes off pressure.

Hello, popping in here and joining in.
Which album are you using? The Paislee Press floral DD 6x8 album.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) I'm a member of Life, Love, Paper's Patreon so I'll be using her things (physical and digital) and whatever Elif Sahin comes up up with throughout the year. I'm flexible. I've got some very old Paper Person that could do with using up too.
What's your favourite thing about PL? Having my photos printed! I'm also so, so forgetful so it's nice to have a physical reminder of what I've been up to.
What's your main struggle with PL? Keeping up with it
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Yes! There's the family holiday to the Lake District, a trip with my kids to Manchester to see the Yayoi Kusama exhibition in the summer and hopefully a friend and I will do a day trip in Lille.
Got any ideas for your title page? Nope. I have Paislee Press' freebie with the year- and that's it. I'll probably keep it at that. I think minimalism is the way to go to keep this project sustainable for me.
