Margie I love that title page too! I've got several Katie Pertiet templates similar to that. I've already done my title page, I'll have to remember that one for next year. (Can you remind me if I forget? ) AussieMeg , thank you so much for mentioning Katie Pertiet templates! I was not familiar with her, but I just googled her and found her shop. She does beautiful work! ETA: Obviously I didn't read the description

Which album are you using? I haven't decided yet. I was thinking I'd do PL digitally, so I will probably end up with a photo book at the end of the year, I hope. If I end up going hybrid, it will be a 6"x8" album, maybe a Simple Stories Sn@p! Binder or maybe I'll try one from Citrus Twist. I like the look of their albums but haven't bought any of them yet.
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) I downloaded some cards from Studio Calico and Katie Pertiet's site, but I might also make some of my own. If I end up going hybrid rather than digital, which is a possibility, I will also use Altenew stamps and probably some Vicki Boutin and Simple Stories 12"x12" papers that include journaling cards.
What's your favourite thing about PL? This will be my first time doing PL, so I am not sure yet what my favorite thing about it is.
What's your main struggle with PL? We're not even 2 weeks in, and I am already behind -- so I think keeping up with it is going to be my biggest struggle.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? I am hoping to do a lot more crocheting in 2023 than I did in 2022, and I plan to document my projects as part of my PL pages. I am also looking forward to scrapping summer stories, whatever those end up being.
Got any ideas for your title page? It didn't even occur to me to make a title page, so thanks for the idea!

Popping in with my thoughts then I'll catch up on review the thread.
Which album are you using? White 9x12 from scrapbook.com
How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash) I'm subscribed to AE story kits + SBTM and am on the creative teams of Layered Life & Freckled Fawn, so I will be using a lot of products from these brands, as well as my stash and one-off purchases.
What's your favorite thing about PL? Capturing the everyday stories. How each week is a new opportunity to try something new because there are lots of weeks, so never too much pressure on any one week.
What's your main struggle with PL? Hmmm... I think that I get so focused on this project, I fall behind on other ones.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? Nothing huge so far, but I'm very excited for a fresh album and for some crafty stories, like my class Plan, Prep & Play at AE.
Got any ideas for your title page? I already created my title page and love it so much. I shared it in the Plan, Prep & Play classroom.

Thank you so much for the invitation, Jeremysgirl! I really appreciate it that you made an effort to include me. I will definitely post on the monthly craft thread when I have something new worth sharing with you all. I have lurked a little in past threads but haven't posted merely because I have nothing new worth posting at the moment. I am so hoping to change that in 2023! Hackers made a mess of my old craft web sites, where I used to share free patterns with no strings attached (not even any ads -- I took the ads all down because I hated them) and it has taken me more than a year to rebuild it on a new domain. There are still pages on my new site that need attention, but I'm at the point now where I feel like I could start sharing patterns again without the site being too much of an embarrassing mess.

How’s everyone doing so far for 2023? I have weeks one and two done and finally posted them on the instagram scrapbook account I’ve never used. http://instagram.com/p/CnpeJiCPgxk

How’s everyone doing so far for 2023? I have not started or even really thought about it. I'm inspired to work on my 2022 pages so I'm going to run with it while the motivation is there considering I still have half a dozen pages from 2021 to be completed.

I have nearly finished my first double page spread, but I just remembered that I wanted to include a photo of my daughter in Bali. I just messaged her to send me a photo, then I will have to re-arrange all the photos to fit it in. Hopefully I'll be able to finally post a page later today. I have also chosen and placed all the photos for the second and third double page spreads, now comes the time consuming part - embellishing!

If you do OLW do you include it in your annual PL at all?
January has been a slow month so far not even sure what I will include this month.

Happy February! How did everyone do for January? I have yet to make a page but I did make a card for my PL. I'm hosting one of the challenges over on the challenge board (click HERE for a list of the current challenges) so at least I have one done. My January wasn't very exciting because I feel like it rained the whole month (it didn't but it was cold and dreary). Citygirl - I'm not doing OLW but the people I follow on the socials are a mixed bag of including it in their PL or making a completely separate album.

I’m good- I have January done except for this past week of half jan/half Feb (I do weekly spreads). I actually have some journaling on my last full Jan week to go but plan on doing that tomorrow.

How did everyone do for January? I have some journaling cards typed up and stuck into a page protector, but that's all I've done so far. I'm still enjoying playing in my 2022 album, but I have some photos from this last week that I'm keen to scrap so I'm sure I'll make an actual start soon.

Bumping---
I am all set for the online crop today. I have my January pics printed as of last night, my Freckled Fawn kit ready to go, and I'll finally be working on this today. Yay! I finally feel inspired to get back into my documenting.

Goodness, I haven’t even begun. 😖 I’m starting to suspect I overestimate my free time. I always think I have enough time to do all the things, and then the next thing I know a whole month has passed and I’ve never even started. I just really don’t know what happened to January?! 😵💫
But that’s why I need to do project life! It makes the passing time feel more concrete.
I am putting DD aside to begin PL. I only have a tiny bit to do to finish DD, but my pace with it has just about come to a sloth’s crawl. I need to look at something else for a while.

Week 1 is done and I'm working on printing photos for the rest of January today. I haven't been taking as many pictures, so my spreads for January will be 1 side of a 12x12 for each week.

I just really don’t know what happened to January?! 😵💫 I feel this, I had grand plans during weekdays to get stuff done while my kid's in school but the month slipped by and I only have one card to show for it. January zipped by so fast! I haven't been taking as many pictures, so my spreads for January will be 1 side of a 12x12 for each week. January was a slow month for us too, I have mostly screen shots and a few photos but that's it. Hopefully that should make it easy to to document since I won't have decision fatigue from choosing photos!

I find January usually a slow month for pictures because I'm burnt out from my DD album. This year wasn't bad, we added a new kitten to our home mid month so plenty of kitten pictures in my album 😊 I managed to complete up to the week of Jan 30 so I'm pretty happy with that. I will say that having the SC documentor kit makes putting together spreads a bit easier than trying to fit a word theme from AE story kits for a regular week in a PL album.

Which album are you using? My PL pages just go into the main family album. How are you getting your cards this year? (kit sub, one-off purchases, stash)From various digital kits. What's your favourite thing about PL?
I love to capture the funny things my kids say or do that don't need an entire page but really do capture their personalities. What's your main struggle with PL? I struggle with what to include in PL and what to make an entire page of for the family album since, as I mentioned, all the pages go together. In the past, I have used the PL pages as a weekly overview and then scrapped those pictures that needed further explanation but I think that this year I might have them operate separately from one another. I'm also toying with going back to weekly vs. monthly PL pages. That will require me to take more photos so we'll see how well I do. Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023?My fiance just moved in (from living two hours away) so I'm looking forward to all of the simple home stories that he will now be a part of. We're getting married and going on an international honeymoon this fall so while those two things will be scrapped separately, I will be including the planning of those things (which I enjoy) as the year goes on.

That’s awesome jeremysgirl! I can’t remember what kit you’re using, but I love the florals and pops of blue.

The pocket card kit and the 6x8 papers were just enough for a months worth of page making. I was able to use the 6x8 papers to make my own cards. I used a lot of my stamps this month too.

I only read here but have been doing PL for about 10 years. I use a variety of pocket protectors. Some I cut down or modify. Simple Snap, Hobby Lobby, BH.
Which album are you using? Hobby Lobby 12 x 6", black (they stopped offering others colors)
How are you getting your cards this year? Some stash, some Lawn Farm, AE + KP/PP stuff. I make my own a lot of times actually. I definitely don't do a lot of "fillers". If I do I create them.
What's your favourite thing about PL? The journaling. The photos are all on my Mac but adding journaling of everyday stuff is really important to me. I also look at magazines like BH+Garden, Real Simple occasionally to see how they lay their stories out, overlay text etc.
What's your main struggle with PL? I feel I need to get away from filling out a "weekly" layout so to speak (2 full page protectors). More substance - less looking for a (meaningless?) photo to fill a pocket.
Do you have any stories you're already looking forward to document in 2023? My son will attend college, my daughter will graduate college. More trips, away sports events. I also like "lists". Stuff I currently enjoy. My kids aren't young so less material than in years before.
Got any ideas for your title page? I used KP/Paper Person Today's Highlights Tags and patterned paper from one of her Evergreen (Christmas) kit. I am a huge rabbit fan (year of the rabbit) and the gold foil rabbit die cuts and other tags are perfect on darker paper.

If you do OLW do you include it in your annual PL at all? I'm doing OLW this year, I'll just say, I think some pics related to my word will make their way into my PL, but I do have a separate album for OLW. I got the class and I'm trying to follow along. Some things are surprising me so I feel like the OLW needs its own album. January was a slow month for us too, I have mostly screen shots and a few photos but that's it. Hopefully that should make it easy to to document since I won't have decision fatigue from choosing photos! Mine varies so much. Some months I have a lot and some months I have very little. This is why I don't do weekly. I just know I don't have enough to make weekly spreads and if I do it monthly, then I can group like photos alike. I will say that having the SC documentor kit makes putting together spreads a bit easier than trying to fit a word theme from AE story kits for a regular week in a PL album. I did a year sub to AE story kits and I still haven't quite figured out how to use them. They don't seem like they go in my regular PL. But I did start a "story album" two years ago almost and I really want to pull out those kits and see if I can make some stories from them.

I just went backwards in this thread and realized I had told sleepingbooty that I would act as hostess for February. I had forgotten I offered. Now that January has passed, has anyone's initial answers changed? Are you refocusing the way you want to set up your January pages after you've looked at them? Have you not even looked at them yet? I admit I am always excited to get my pages done once the month concludes. It's like I want to remember everything while it is relatively fresh in my mind. I'd love to see some others' pages here in this thread, if you'd like to share.
