Thanks for the birthday wishes. It was a pretty quiet one. I went to work, went out for supper with Dean's family, and had a bath. Lots of online greetings which is always nice. Sunday night I tried my first hot flow yoga class in a while and it was tough. It made me a little sore and grumpy Monday. gramma and knutschen your layouts are wonderful. Linda I am so sorry to hear about the passing of such a young man. Sending prayers. joyfulnana I am actually working on the border of my afghan. I hope to finish within the next month. kellyr21 the colour scheme is called seaside. I will add a picture soon.

Linda , I am so sorry about the loss of your friend’s nephew. Definitely their family and yours are in my prayers. What a tragedy for the family. He was such a young man. Hugs! gramma , your pages are so beautifully done and those cards are adorable. I love that little bunny. Did you print him on photo paper? joyfulnana , thanks for sharing the colors of your blanket. It will be fun to see those pretty colors turned into a beautiful blanket. So glad you got your car fixed. It’s such a pain to have to replace all 4 tires when one is bad. That has happened to us twice on our Acadia. Is AWD worth it? I don’t know. grammadee , how is your kitty doing today? Having all your Christmas put away inspired me. I spent yesterday packing up all the Village pieces. Alex will come on Thursday to carry them all downstairs. I am working on the tree today. How I hate putting it all away. I would love it up all year. It makes me happy each time I walk in the room. knutschen , your layout is adorable! Those patterned paper rays and your stitching are amazing. Zoe is such a little cutie. I’m sorry your Thanksgiving and Christmas plans got derailed. I hope you can get together with family again soon. It’s hard when you don’t all live close. I hope your laptop can be fixed without paying a fortune! Best wishes on the sleep apnea testing. I hope they can find the problem. justjac , how can yoga be good for you if it makes you grumpy the next day? LOL I hope you enjoy your class. Glad you had a Happy Birthday. I have a bunch of pages I want to post today. It is snowing here and the light isn't good for photos. I'll get it done eventually.

Good Tuesday evening, Pokeys! Good job stowing away Christmas, nylene. I wish I had something set up to take the place of all the pretties, but I don't, really. Thinking of how @elaynef used to have those little seasonal displays by her front door. maribeth how are you doing? Did you manage to get any rest over the holidays? You seemed pretty bogged down with work. I spent the day continuing to organize my supplies. Every time I go to put something away I realize that another container/drawer needs to be sorted. Got down to the surface of my scrap counters. Discovered a couple of dies and a pair of scissors that had been mislaid awhile ago. All Christmas is in its cupboard except for the supplies I kept out for scrapping gingerbread and a kind of Christmas catch-all I have planned. Stitch (the cat) seems to be improving, but it is day to day. He is still not eating solid food. I made a Vet appointment for tomorrow and was thinking I may have to get them to put him down, but today he lapped up a couple of servings of chicken broth and tonight he was energetic and engaged. Almost tripped over him on my way down the stairs b/c I wasn't expecting him to run up and start winding through my legs. If he continues to improve tomorrow, I think I will cancel--or at least postpone--the vet visit. Not sure what I can do to hearten up the rations a bit tomorrow. Maybe I will soak a little dry food in the broth and then blend it for him?

I'm so sorry I haven't checked in. I've been feverishly working on photos for Costco ordering before they close. I placed an order for 400 so far... grammadee - glad that Stitch seems to be rallying. Our oldest cat is a very finicky eater. When we stopped buying her favourite dry food, she went on a hunger strike and dropped about 8 lbs! We've had to relent and buy the favourite brand again - but it's garbage (Whiskas) and I'd prefer to give the cats better quality. And glad you found your mis-placed items! I need to do a deep re-org as well, but am postponing because right now I'd like to create, and re-orgs take away the ability to craft for a while. knutschen - I LOVE THAT!!!! The best part is the contrast with Zoe and how she is the star within the rays. The stitching is such great embellishment. justjac - I'm sorry I missed your birthday! Glad you got a bath Funny thing baths - you love them or you hate them! We're currently "browsing" houses to buy in our city. Many boast about their tubs in the master bedroom - huge gorgeous deep tubs. For me...a waste of space Linda - that is simply tragic to lose a 16 year old that way. You are so right, the family and the driver will need all the prayers and support as they move forward through this

Good Sunday morning, Pokeys. We have had several sunny days after what seemed like months of fog. But today is dull and dreary again. And it is raining!! Took all the lovely frost off the trees. I KNEW I needed to get out there and take some photos of them before this happened. And when it freezes it should be really fun to walk or drive on... Stitch is back to his normal annoying self, getting underfoot. Somehow he always knows which direction I am going to step next so he can plant himself right there. He is back on solid food, but each night he drinks another 1/4 cup of the magic elixir (chicken broth) that restored him to health. After today the liter will be finished, and I think he will survive without it. Yesterday I managed to finish a two pager that had been taunting me for days: too many photos; not enough creative inspiration. But I cut a few of the photos down and added a few diecuts and stickers, so I am happy enough with it. This morning I am finishing the third (and LAST!!!) gingerbread baking LO. Spent most of yesterday making the title block and playing around with stamps and inks for the background. This morning I covered up most of that background with photos Just need to add the journaling now and then I can share all three here. Busy week coming up. If the roads allow, I hope to be meeting justjac for book club tomorrow evening. Then Tuesday I am off to dd's to stay with dgs for a couple of days. I will be picking him up after school Thursday to drive him to the Seniors' Centre out here to have birthday cake with Grampa. Have a great Sunday, Pokeys!

And here are my gingerbread pages. I did take my gingerbread people making on the road in December. Here are two sets of dgk's crafting the cookies: Baking spirits bright 2022 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Just another gingerbread adventure by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Ended up not doing them at home, much to dgs's disappointment. But we DID manage to decorate a preconstructed Costco gingerbread mansion: Family Christmas construction zone by Gramma Dee, on Flickr Now I can stow my baking related scrappy supplies away for awhile. All of Christmas is stowed except what is in this last Iris container. One more holiday LO I had planned to put together. If I finished it today, I could make a clean sweep of the holiday crafting supplies. But I need to make a couple of birthday cards, so that is not likely. Just need to close that container and move on...

Wishing you good driving conditions grammadee! I'm glad stitch recovered without vet attention. Is he not the outdoor cat? How is he always underfoot? Yesterday was a very off day for me. Did feel well physically or emotionally. So I stayed in PJs, worked on photos, played with my family, did a bit of scrapbooking and not a lick of housework. Today I need to make up for that So it's shopping and gym and cleaning before I get to play!

I'm glad stitch recovered without vet attention. Is he not the outdoor cat? How is he always underfoot? Stitch lives in the attached garage. I need to go out there at least a couple of times a day, and when I do he meets me at the door, and I always need to make sure he doesn't send me tumbling down a set of steps or a ramp. Just now I needed to grab something from my vehicle and needed to get him OUT of the vehicle before I could shut the door.
He hasn't resumed shooting into the house and leading me on a merry chase as soon as the door is opened, but it's only a matter of time.

Loving all the pages from the Pokeys I have been seeing lately! Love on Flickr for nylene, gramma, and kitbop. I need to catch up on Linda's pages in the Sharing thread. Had a good visit with justjac yesterday. We had a mini birthday party for the two of us, exchanging scrappy gifts and having supper with her dh. Then book club with a couple of friends. It was a slow drive home through drifting snow, but I arrived here safely. Today I need to head in the other direction, but it hasn't snowed all night, and I am not leaving home until well after the sanding crews have a chance at the roads. Okay. I want to post a couple of cards into the Gallery, and then I need to get moving. Things to pack, stuff to clean up before I leave...

Hello, Pokeys! I am back in my scraproom again and anxious to get busy scrapping. Saturday I tripped and fell hitting a chair and a little table. I am black and blue but the stiff neck and back are much better today. It makes me so mad at myself that I am always in a hurry. I keep trying to remind myself to S-L-O-W down. I really don't need to hurry from room to room and chore to chore, so why do I do it? kitbop, I have been working on getting all my photos sent to Costco too. I have a big package that arrived yesterday and I hope to have finished ordering by the end of the day. I am so sad that they are stopping the photo processing. gramma, I saw on another thread that Ken had another fall. My heart hurts for each of you. He must be getting so discouraged. I am glad he has you to stand up for him with the medical staff. Hugs to you both. I love your layouts and will leave love in the gallery. MARIBETHR, how are you doing? Are you involved in some scrappy classes or have you taken a break? How's your weather? It has snowed here every day, all day for the last week. It's a dry powdery snow so it doesn't pile up, but it's COLD. kellyr21, did you attend another painting class? Thanks for sharing your abstract art piece with us. I hope you are finding time to do some creativity. grammadee, I am glad Stitch is doing better. Will your DH care for him while you are gone? Have a safe trip. I'd love to have a few days of uninterrupted fun with my youngest grandchildren. I know they will have a great time with you! I'm glad you and justjac could celebrate your birthdays together! Happy Birthday to each of you. Linda, you have really been a busy beaver in your scraproom. It's always fun to see lots of new layouts posted on the Sharing thread. I am trying to take a page from your book and take more photos of everyday things. We have Shingles shots scheduled this morning. I would like to have waited until I was a little less bruised, but DH is anxious to get his second shot before a surgery they have scheduled for him in 3 weeks. He has a big, deep skin cancer on his neck that is worrying the Dr. so he's scheduled for MOHS surgery and then our very trusted surgeon will close and do any reconstruction needed. Waving to all you sweet Pokeys!

nylene - I'm really relieved you aren't more drastically injured, and I'm so glad you are feeling better, but you. be. CAREFUL! I got my first box of photos (Dec/Jan this year). The 5x7s are gorgeous. The 4x6s are too warm/yellow - and I can tell because the 5x7s are the same as the 4x6s and there is a drastic difference! What to do? Their photo service is closing... if I complain, will they even have time to fix it?

Oh nylene! Ouch! I hope you recover quickly but I know you will hurt for awhile. Thank heavens you didn’t break anything! And so scary that your dh must go through yet another surgery. Glad that your own trusted surgeon will be there. I agree with gramma, kitbop. You should at the very least get a refund. How frustrating! I arrived at dd’s safe & sound. Stopped at a LSS near the Costco where I filled up with gas, and hit the motherload of hockey themed scrapping supplies. Planning on scrapping a few hockey pages while dgs is in school tomorrow. So perfect timing!

Maybe seeing more of your creations will inspire me. justjac- HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY!!! So glad you and grammadee were able to celebrate together, too. Congrats! How is your knitting coming along? nylene- Sounds like you were so excited to have fun that you fell! I am so glad you feeling better. Take it easy my friend! I have done more art and ordered some new journals for art journaling. I hope to get out some of my papercraft supplies soon. I miss paper! I already have so much paper and collections and I almost ordered the new Simple Stories Spring and Valentine kits. LOL! I hope this Spring to start making more YouTube tutorial so I gotta get back into the swing of things. I loved making those videos and I can't wait to start again. linda- Waving hi and hope your knees are getting happier.

Hi Pokeys! Happy Friday! nylene PLEASE be careful! How are you faring? It's funny that you would mention rushing from thing to thing. I just realized earlier today that I have been doing the same thing. And there's no reason for me either! I wonder where we are trying to get to? lol kitbop, I'm late to the party and I think Costco is closing their photo service tomorrow? Were you able to get in touch with them? They should definitely be giving a refund. There isn't a lot going on in my little corner of the world, but I feel like I'm busy all the time. I hope to get some scrapping in on Saturday, but it's a Rudy weekend, so that's not a definite lol. I'm definitely out for Sunday as I will be glued to the NFL games, And I'm sorry, not sorry, grammadee but I will be rooting hard against your Bengals lol. Enjoy your scrapping time! Waving Hi to everyone, Happy Belated Birthday justjac!

sorry I keep forgetting to post here. oops grammadee - Happy Birthday to your dh - great pictures! Glad Stitch is on the mend. joyfulnana - busy all the time - yup, sounds about right and yet really, I'm not/shouldn't be. Have fun with Rudy! How's he doing with baby brother? Thanks kellyr21 - PT does seem to be helping a bit so far so I'm hopeful for more progress Yesterday was an off day for me - didn't sleep worth a lick the night before and just had no energy or motivation all day plus everything ached. So took it easy, did a bunch of reading, and did manage to make ONE layout for today's sketchy Saturday post. Feeling better today after a good night's sleep. Catching up on housework I ignored yesterday and hoping to get scrapping and make a dent in my 4-28-4 preparations. kitbop - I hope you were able to get a refund or reprints? What a pain. nylene - (((hugs))) my friend. Please please slow down and be careful. I'm glad it's just brusises this time but falls are scary. How did the shingles shot go? Keeping you and your dh in my prayers gramma - gorgeous layouts -I love your style and use of colour and pattern.

grammadee, your pictures of your DH's b-day celebrations are wonderful. Can't wait to see how you will scrap them! Is Stitch still doing well? joyfulnana, have fun with Rudy this weekend. Do you have snow he can play in? We are getting a lot more today. Linda, the shingles shot was not fun. I don't usually have reactions to shots, but I was warned this one could turn on my autoimmune issues, which it did. DH ached all over and spent the next day in his recliner. His first one didn't effect him at all. I was achy, but was still achy from the fall, so it could have been that. I had the old Shingles shot about 7 years ago and had the same autoimmune reaction. I really am not excited about having a 2nd of the new serum, but the medical people say I should. I will wait a while for sure. gramma, any news on DH's dizziness? Is he recovering from the last fall? kellyr21, I would love to see you start doing videos again. I really enjoyed those. You have such a nice way about you and are easy to listen to. Be sure to let us know if you post! I need to post some pages here before the end of the month. I'll work on that later today. Eric called us yesterday to say that they were taking Swayzee sledding and would send us directions to the park. It was really cold, but we would warm up in the car and then go watch. He pulled her and 2 friends with her little snowmobile (which she is too small to use!) all around the park. Their happy squeals were so fun. They played for over an hour. It was a fun outing for us. I did get pictures. If anyone is setting up an online chat today I am available. I have parts of cards cut that need to be assembled. I am not sure I could start it myself, but I could try.

Hi pokeys! It's a work weekend for me, but now I'm home so I think I'll settle in and join the crop. I haven't scrapped since last weekend as I've been photo editing like a fiend. I've been doing a couple of hours/day recently, but photoshop is on DS's gaming computer (!mistake!) and so I couldn't always get at the computer. I was off work yesterday. Started photo editing at 9am and except for bathroom breaks and a few jumping jacks I sat on my keester at that computer until midnight. DH brought me food and water. I snarled at cats who bumped my elbows. I didn't check my e-mail, or the boards!!! I got 2 full years of photos edited (lighting, sharpening, colour, whitening teeth for DDs who whinge about such things) and putting them into 3x4 format (2 per 4x6) for scrapping fun. Because I was so far behind, I did not dither over which photos to print at which sizes. They ALL got printed at 3x4. Most got printed at 4x6. And 165 got printed at 5x7. Total: 1833 photos ordered (including the last batch) I did not *quite* finish - I have about 50 photos left? - but hey, pretty good job. Prints were only .09 each so the cost seemed great! I never contacted Costco yet about the first batch...it's on my list. grammadee - cute pics of Al! He looks so happy joyfulnana - have fun with Rudy - I bet he doesn't enjoy the games, does he? Hope to see you soon on an online crop, but understandable you can't pop in this weekend! nylene - your pages are so special. I LOVE that Johnny Rockets page: all your little pieces set a mood and feel and communicate everything a person needs to know. Glad you got to participate in some snow activities. I've never been a cold weather fan. It takes the fun out of the fun! Linda - I'm with you on the up and down joints, the up and down mood, the up and down sleep... could it be our age showing??? I'm guessing you and I are close in age

I am typing from a brand-new MacBook Pro. Sadly, the repair for my old one was $500. The display was going bad. Since my old MacBook was over 5 years old, I decided to put that money into a new one. I really like the one I picked so far. I worked and got my backup restored and now just trying to get programs to recognize the new laptop. I have been working on organizing the house. I really hope to get my scrapbook room in better order. I worked and got a table and chairs in the attic for storage. My mom told me she hopes to have a garage sale this spring. I need to see what I want to include or possibly donate. I started Zoe in a Pet Therapy class today at PetSmart. After our first class today, I realize she may have more to work on than I thought! She gets so excited around all the other dogs. She also keeps jumping on people. We just need to practice leash walking in the neighborhood more. nylene, I hope you are feeling better from falling. grammadee, I am glad your kitty is feeling better. kitbop, that is frustrating about your photos. I hope that they will give you a refund. I think my allergies got stirred up some today. I am ready to get in my PJ's and relax.

Popping in to wish gramma good luck with her game today, I will still root for your team. Even though you will be rooting against mine lol. It's not quite 8AM and I've already got the pregame chatter shows on. It feels like SuperBowl Sunday for me lol. I even bought a 6 pack of beer LOL. I'll be hitting the couch hard and knitting on my blanket. (good thing it's an easy pattern in case things go South and I need all those beers) LOL. I finally finished a LO last night in the crop. I'll have to wait for better light so I can take a picture. I hope you all have an awesome Sunday!
