STC said yesterday in an email they are opening up registration again (for both spring events) for a short time! To register, email Jen at jen@scrapbookandcards.com stating what event(s) you would like to attend as well as providing your complete mailing address and phone number. Jen will send you a PayPal invoice and get you registered. If you didn't register yet, here's your chance! I think this was how I got in last year! I had so much fun. I had to skip the fall event because I was just too busy with my dog events. But I signed up for this one and can’t wait!

It's hard to believe the sneaks have started and the event is coming up fast. Wow time flies. Once the sneak peeks begin I start to get really excited, the energy really ramps up on the FB group, too.

Okay. Bit the bullet and created a fb account for this. I am DeeLightful Scrapper over there. My acceptance into the SCT events is pending. Feel free to "friend" me, but I just there for these CC events. Hope I can remember how to log in again. So far I have had to get them to text me three different codes when I got lost

Sign up seems to be closed, but when I saw the price, I knew it wasn’t really an option for me right now, anyway.
I hope all of you that are doing it have fun, and if you are allowed, please show us your finished cards. I’d love to see them!

I’m totally digging the C&9th sneak! Yeah, it looks really fun! Nice to see something a bit different with the postage stamps using die cuts (I think that's what it is).

I emailed Cathy and Greg (C9) in the past about the similar past color palettes. Given that we have received C9 mini ink cubs with past kits it would be nice to receive different colors. I never heard back from either of them, so I was thankful when we got this sneak.

Second peek is up. Layered flowers.
Ladies, tell me again what glue you use for stuff like this? Do you put 2 sided tape on the back of your cs or pp before cutting? A fine tip liquid? Narrow Scor tape?
I need to get something before C&C that won't make an unholy mess all over the place like my current glues tend to do. And if I get a liquid I need to get it soon enough that I can try it out, but not too soon so I will not have the nozzle already gooped up before the event...

Yes, second peek is up! Gina K Designs! It looks like a floral banner die she did last year that everyone wants! Didn't she mention a sister die?

I used Bearly Arts fine needle now, after using Lawn Fawn glue and making a MESS. I would put double sided tape on my paper if it was for a layout, but not for cards. They always emphasize the importance of being able to move it a little, and you can do that if you use glue. It's especially important to have glue when we stack sentiments for depth. You'll also need some foam tape.

I agree about the Bearly Arts glue, it's really good. I also like the Tonic Nuvo Glue, I find the nozzle is fine enough for detail work. I haven't had problems with clogging with either of them. I find myself using glue more and more these days instead of dry adhesive, especially for cards.

Wow, love the spellbinder peek! That's a different shaped flower for them and I like it. The background frame is great too.

Kim Kesti is great, I love her designs. She's a good teacher, too. I love the Spellbinders sneak, but I always love Spellbinders, they usually do a great job.

Those SB flowers look delicious.
Making me a little scared though: afraid mine will look more like a big mess... After solving my GLUE problem, what do you use to ink edges like those petals? I have the set of Taylored Expressions makeup style brushes, the small TH handles and foams. Should I be getting some makeup sponges or cotton balls?

I’m assuming she shades the paper first and then die cuts the petals, so any ink blending method should work. The last time we had a Gina K brush included in the box!

For these dies, I may need to do a test drive so I know which area needs to be blended on which die cut and maybe keep a sample of unassembled pieces or very good notes. Also, you can keep the die cut pieces in the negative space and it will make it easier to use the blending brushes since you’ll have more area to blend.

If I'm going to color or ink after I die cut I always put the piece(s) back in position and use 3M Post-it tape on the back to hold it in place. Any low tack tape will work, ie washi tape. Not only will it make it easier to use the blending brushes, but it gives you something to hold on too so your fingers don't get mucky.
