Got my box. I’m team lemongrass.
I hope to do the unboxing Thursday. I’m very pleased with the contents. I really had no idea what to expect since this is my first event.
I have not received an email about the fb group so I’m going to reach out to them today.

Spoilers allowed now? This is only a small one, but I was kind of amazed how relieved I was to open the box and find NO STENCILS!
I watched the beginning of the unboxing, made the notes about the errata in the guidebook. As a natural early bird who spontaneously wakes up around 4:30 or 5 (and therefore goes to sleep around 9 or 9:30), I wasn't about to start die cutting at 8:45. It didn't sound like it was going to be instructional much. But I paused it and can watch it while I cut.
I have a three-day weekend next weekend, so I'm kind of tempted to catch up on adulting and maybe see if there are other projects I can wrap up this weekend and put this homework off a week.

We had the unboxing last night. I'm trying to upload photos of the contents, but Postimages is having issues for me.
After the unboxing we spent time together on die cutting. I'm not sure how far they got, I dropped off the live after 90 minutes.

Inks, mini blending brushes, black and white ribbon, white thread, enamel dots, thread and needle, mini brads, clear glass dew drop thingies, sticker, pin and salt water taffy (it was yummy).  |

I have a three day weekend coming up, so I'm not too worried.
But Sunday I got the P6 out for something else, having spent Saturday on this homework, and somehow ended up doing more of this instead....
I'm not even doing the die cutting for Jennifer's class, though.

cmpeter I like what I see so far! I'd love to see the rest of your pictures. I'm excited to see what the projects are like. I've never done C&9's event but it's always been on my Wishlist. Next year I should change things up and try it instead of always doing C&C and PF's events.

The rest of the crafters in my family and most of my crafty friends are stitchers, not paper crafters. If I wanted to stitch, I'd be joining them in the stitchery world and not dealing with paper. So it's kind of a non-starter for me. But there are certainly stitched dies that seem more interesting than these.

Even Jennifer McGuire couldn't make it look good and I usually love everything she makes. But I'll give it a chance, maybe the end result just doesn't photograph well. |

I haven’t done anything yet to prep for the event, other than open the box and watch the unboxing video. I did eat the taffy.  I am in Dragonfruit cabin. I won’t be able to watch the Friday start live as I won’t be home. |

I’m looking forward to it. I’ve finished the die cutting and just need to read the instructions a bit to see what else I need to cut. There is a small group of girls (the group started after the spring C+CD event) getting together in person to take our classes together on Saturday, so I’ll need to think ahead for packing purposes. The packing stuff I’m not looking forward to, but taking the classes with (newer) friends will be a lot of fun.
Then, starting about week later I’ll be doing them together with a good friend who is fairly new to card-making and needs lots of help. Hopefully I have enough supplies to make myself a second set!
Then I’ll start looking forward to the fall PF event 😉
