Thank you both! The die-cut lemons or the stamped ones MDscrapaholic? i prefer the florals a bit as well. I also finished a card, or maybe a card and a half, from the third class. The interactive one doesn’t, so I guess that’s half a card?

Got out my ruler this morning and I had placed my wheel pivot point about 1/16th" too low and my scene about 1/16th" too high, which is why it wouldn't spin. Made a second hole, but it's now about 1/16th" too high, so it spins, but the two skies show just a hair when the other one is above. Which makes sense to no one not in the class...sorry. Trying to decide whether to try again and quit while I'm, more or less, ahead.

I had such a great time! I finished all the cards during the classes. I agree Shakti, I loved their format. I will definitely take more of their classes.

I made my peace with that little bit of night sky showing when the day side is up (and vice versa) by deciding that it looks like water off in the distance. But now I noticed how badly the camper tire is aligned on that one.
I didn't really finish the turnabout card because of the flaws in the stamp, which I've already emailed C&9 about. And I didn't attempt the stiched cards, but other than that I finished during the class time or close to it. Certainly by the start of the next one.
Very enjoyable and looking forward to using the products again, even those a little outside my usual style.

Pretty cards!
I only managed to take the first 2 classes on Saturday before I had to run some errands with the family.
This upcoming weekend will be a long one, so I plan to finish up the classes then. I was really happy how quick and easy some of the cards were to assemble.
I picked up the bundle for the camp counselors gift because the sundae die set was too adorable to pass up.

Adorable cards Shakti. I absolutely love the little outdoor scene...can we see the night time one? And the terrarium is so cute too. I'm happy to hear that everyone had a great time.

Thanks!
It just occurred to me that I can add another tree top behind and a smidge above that one of the left and hide that sliver of sky.
I am debating the counselor's dies. I do not love my clementine one, but I liked Jeff's and some of the others. I wish they showed them in the trading post. Maybe they have now. It did crack me up that the patterned paper says both that this is the only place it's available AND that it's "discounted" some percent. You can't have a discount from a price that will never be offered anywhere....

Cute Cards. The outdoor/camping ones are my favorites.
If anyone did it, please show the infamous (up thread) stitched card.

Cute Cards. The outdoor/camping ones are my favorites. If anyone did it, please show the infamous (up thread) stitched card. I gave my stitching set to Ryann, however Jennifer showed a good number of “extra” cards using this set, and I really liked a few of them, especially the one where she used beads. I’ll capture some screen shots later and post them for y’all to see.

I wasn't planning to do the stitching project, but because my day went a wee bit sideways I didn't even watch that video.
I will say that I lost the tittles to my friend die cut before I even knew what a tittle was. Someone in the facebook group pointed out that if you cut one of the stitching dies, you end up with a whole heap of extra tittles. I am now glad I didn't re-home that set just yet, as I have my heap of extras. Now I'm done.
So if anyone else is interested, let me know.

I think everyone loved that class azcrafty so I wish you luck! That said, I’d be happy to send mine down to you in a few weeks after I’ve made a few more cards with them and you could borrow them for a few weeks. Regarding sharing images of the stitching class, I just emailed C+9th to be sure they’re ok with us sharing their images outside of those who participated in the event. I’ll let ya know what they say. Shakti, if you don’t find a buyer for your class 6 stuff let me know. I have a little tinge of regret that I gave them away after seeing the bonus cards (just a tinge Ryann so if you read this please DO NOT THINK i want you to send them back). I dont ever think I’ll use the hugs die, but the flowers and coordinating stamps turned out to be kinda cool 😃 Especially since I make jewelry and have tons of beads here.

I’ll let ya know what they say. thanks for asking. I checked the hashtag c9summercamp2023 on IG and saw the cards/dies. They're OK, but would be a pass if I had to purchase them. My feeling of stitching on cards is that it's too much work for me to stitch for someone to toss them out. LOL! (and I'm a long time cross stitcher)

C+9th was happy to have their images shared. Here’s a couple of the “extra” cards made with the class 6 (stitching) supplies:

Thanks MichyM thats a super sweet offer. Maybe it will pop up somewhere. Or they will release something similar. Fingers crossed 🤞 How did you enjoy the event and your crafty friends? I really enjoyed this event. I am definitely meant to take manufacturer’s events, as I loved the PF event in February as well. First, and most importantly, I receive all the emails. HURRAY. You all know that is a huge issue for me with SCT and one of the reasons I don’t ever plan to take another one of their events. It is so much more relaxing to have the emails come through rather than always wondering what info I’m missing and then trying to find the info on FB with the SCT events (I have done 2 of their events). That is a huge headache! Anyhow, the feel of this event is so much more my style. Just a chilled out group of card makers, and the instructors felt genuine and themselves during the teaching process and after. The FB group is manageable in both its tone and quantity of postings. Once I got used to it, I liked that the actual class instruction would show a video of the instructor creating the cards, then right after would also teach them live while answering participant questions. I was able to keep up no problem. Getting together with our group was loads of fun (other than the traffic coming home, a 45 minute drive took 2 full hours). We all did the projects in real time, took a lovely brunch break, and continued on. On Sunday I did the 5th class at home alone (didn’t do the 6th class) and it wasn’t nearly as fun. More than anything, I am excited about creating more with the supplies, and I know I will reuse them time and again. Even the ones with the teeny, nitpicky die cuts. I finished the event on a high, just like a did with PF’s. I do want to add that the colors for these projects were predominately pink and cool greens/aquas with a few other colors thrown in. Pinks and cool greens/aquas are about my least favorite colors to craft with. But, I love the cards we made, will be happy to send them, and maybe…just maybe I’ll use these colors more in the future 😉 I highly recommend.

I won’t be able to participate at all this weekend. I have about half the die cutting done and I’ve also eaten the taffy. :-) I was just looking through this thread and this one made me laugh. I had the taffy eaten before I had finished going through the box 😉

I am definitely meant to take manufacturer’s events, as I loved the PF event in February as well. Speaking of us thinking too much alike, I'm really, really happy to hear this. I DID sign up for the Pinkfresh holiday event because I enjoyed this one so much. If you enjoyed that PF one as much as this one, I'm sure I'll enjoy the upcoming PF one, too! Once I got used to it, I liked that the actual class instruction would show a video of the instructor creating the cards, then right after would also teach them live while answering participant questions. I was able to keep up no problem. I also found it very interesting and informative that some of the instructors made it very clear that they did NOT design these cards. It sounded like they were sent the instructions and materials and that recorded video was their honest first attempt to create from the instructions and a sample. I think that a single designer kept things from going off the rails, as I think the Altnew retreat did a bit. But that genuine making-this-for-the-first-time thing added something in a way that I can't quite put my finger on.

That is very disappointing if its true. When you take a class you take it to see what that teacher will come up with those stamps and dies.
I loved the variation of projects and mediums with the first camp. We had 2 watercoloring class, 2 stamping and 2 die cutting-1 was with 3D flowers for decoration. It seems to me that they really simplified the projects now. And ours was all live....mistakes and all. There was only 1 class where ppl got upset with KW going so fast. I should re-watch them and create more cards.
I do love this years outdoor, terrarium and the big flower cover plate projects and dies. 😊

Not all of the instructors mentioned getting the design/sample/instructions from C&9, but some did. Maybe it was a combination? Some designed their own and others did not?
For the ones who did speak of it, I found it rather cool that they were demo-ing our experience, if you know what I mean. They were interpreting the directions and sample card, narrating why they were choosing to work in a different order or make other adjustments.
I thought there were plenty of different styles or techniques represented, even if they were all designed in-house. And I've recently experienced an event where the instructors were given too much latitude, imo, so this was refreshing by contrast.
