Even more impossible than finishing a roll of washi, I finished my HS gold colour shine! I've had my bottle for so long the colour is called Gold Lame and I've stretched it as far as I can. Thankfully I have a spare bottle I bought when I heard it was discontinued.
I've also finished up a set of Rose Moka alphas this week and have two more nearly finished alpha sets on my desk to bash next.
What have you used or used up recently that you're proud has made it onto a project?

I love this thread. I was thinking of the last one like this as I finished up 3 sheets of FF labels this week. I bought a big batch during a sale years ago and it’s time for them to go.
And I’m soooooooo close to tossing an empty washi roll. Not my fave, from a SC kit. Most of it was used to fix 2 3x4’s to make a 4x6, but then I did end up using it as a unifying element across a PL spread, which was oddly satisfying.
I used up a bunch of old Amy T puffy stickers too, though I still have a bunch to go. I made a good dent though!

I just now finished up a sheet of Sticko puffy stickers - yep, they were OLD! I used them to embellish the insides of some birthday cards (one in the corner adds a nice touch).

I've been buying up big in the Digital Press closing down sale. I am pleased to report that I have actually been using a lot of my new purchases. Sometimes I will buy a kit and not use it for months....... or never. I just bought another 17 (!!) Monthly Chronicles collections today, and I am determined to use a lot of them over the next few months.

I used up a set of pre-patterned card bases that's been kicking around my stash for at least a decade and I'm working through the matching paper (which, as it turns out, didn't really work with the bases) as well.

I’ve been on a mission to use up as much of my patterned paper and colored cardstock as I can before I restock with fun new things. I cut up some random leftovers and scraps last month including a couple of Shimelle Starshine and October Afternoon papers I had been paralyzed by (my oldest stash). I was able to make some nice donation cards and clear some mental space.
I also turned most of my leftovers/scraps of fall papers into cards and trashed the very small bits. The envelope that’s been full of ugly fall papers (that I’ve been sick of for the last 3-4 years) is now empty! No more drab olives and ugly browns.
I’m learning that I enjoy using up papers quickly and wishing I had more, but I should NOT buy more. The second buy usually leaves me burned out halfway through and then 3 years later I’m hating what I used to love.

Although my first step in selecting papers is to peruse scraps (stored in two stackable letter trays - one for solids & another for patterned/specialty scraps), I consider it a small victory when both trays are empty (which is rare, given I use paper sparingly in strips, blocks, etc. & one sheet may be used on multiple layouts).
Congratulations everyone on using your supplies (& making room or justification for buying more)!

I'm not sure if this counts, but I used up a rubber stamp alphabet.
It was one of those wood mounted sets with each letter mounted to a 1/4" stick of wood.
Well I guess rubber only last so long (20+ years). I haven't used it in a while and pulled it out today and could not get a good impression. They were done, like rounded off and not crisp.
Crazy!
So not proud but I used them up. I had to buy a new set. Found a very similar font on AliExpress.

I finished off the cards I was making, added a few little scrap strips to the insides, posted them on the Mar SLoC thread, took a good look at the leftovers... and tossed the rest in my wastepaper basket! I'm not keen on waste but I squeezed an extra 5 cards out of the leftovers of the leftovers and that seemed good enough. I even tossed the tiny cut aparts from the 6x6 pad after using 2 on my last card. I'm done! No more ugly fall paper!
I do reserve the right to pull the cute little strip of gnomes back out of the bin if I have regrets... I keep this rubbish clean so I can grab out scraps for dimension or if I have 2nd thoughts. But I think after 5 or 6 years of using this collection I am well and truly sick of it.
I also threw out the custom stamp I had made for my business PO Box because it got too expensive to keep paying for the box. I guess that goes in the declutter thread instead of here, but I was very proud of myself for throwing it out the same day I canceled the box instead of imagining reasons why I should keep it for Justin Case.

I went through a ton of adhesive. I use Scotch double sided tape and I have so many empty ones. My school used to have a program where they would send empty tape containers to a recycling place but that place stopped taking them. I've got to see if there is another place that will recycle them- I hate to see all of that plastic going into a landfill.
I killed quite a few small NJFB kits.

I used up a half pack of 6x6 winter paper that a Pea had split with me, made 27 cards with it I also used some fairly new, little used dies. And I bought 2 sheets of Christmas paper the other day and cut them up immediately to make a Sheetload of cards Technically not quite used up yet because I have 4 scraps left, but really close! (As I type this I'm also making a list of things I bought at the same time that I have not yet used/used up)

spin-off question ...I feel like I almost never actually use stuff up...I use it but there are still letters on alpha sheet or papers in the pad or collection kit or stickers on the sticker sheet etc...the only things that I can consistently 'use up' are specific colours (shades) of cardstock or basics like adhesive, white/black cardstock, trimmer blades, page protectors...everything else I just use some of...
I haven't figured out a way to sit down and make x number of layouts with a collection kit and then turn the scraps into cards and then be done with it. Instead I make a layout and then weeks later another layout and then next year one more and so on...and then it never seems to be finished.

I can count on one hand the number of collections that I have actually "used up." I am trying to get better and just deciding when I am over it and can sell the rest and move on to something different. I tend to have lots of different collections or kits going on at the same time.

Instead I make a layout and then weeks later another layout and then next year one more and so on...and then it never seems to be finished. That’s what makes this hobby so fun.. it’s endless. And finishing something up is so satisfying! For pieces I still like: I generally keep my collections/kits/paper pads together, and when I get down to just bits in pieces I might break it down. So scraps in the scrap bin, stickers with the rest of my stickers, etc. I try to focus on kits that have just a little bit of life left in them, so I can actually use them up. Another thing I will do is if I’m down to some bits and pieces, I’ll combine it with a similar kit. For pieces I’m sick of/don’t like: break it down to be given away, use the white side of the paper, add stickers to envelopes that I mail out.

Instead I make a layout and then weeks later another layout and then next year one more and so on...and then it never seems to be finished. I break my supplies up and sort a lot of them by colour so I often don't know when I've used the last piece from a die cut pack or sticker sheet, and I typically don't buy paper pads or packs, so instead I focus on the feeling of accomplishment that comes from using something that has been in my stash for a while or that I expected would be difficult to use. So in the example of the alpha or the paper pack, I might give myself a challenge to use them on my next two layouts and consider it a win when I do.

I have recently finished a couple of 6x6 pads making cards. It's a good feeling to actually use the papers! And, I have fun with it. I pick a 6x6 pad to use up, a few sketches, a couple of stamp sets to go with it, cardstock, and maybe some gems or enamel dots. And, I make cards until I can't anymore! LOL!
I also grabbed a bunch of strips from my scrap box recently and made around 40 strip cards. They are not all completed yet, but I did get the main part done.

I just used a couple really old pieces of Pink Paisley paper. I was surprised when I saw the manufacturer. I would have said I didn't have any left by PP.

Instead I make a layout and then weeks later another layout and then next year one more and so on...and then it never seems to be finished. I think that's totally OK. I think scrapbooking is much more of a "stash" hobby, at least for most people. And you're a pretty up to date scrapbooker so it might not make sense for you to use a lot of one collection at one time. The main thing is that it works for the way you craft. As long as you can manage what you have and use what you've got (sooner or later) I think you're doing it right (And not everyone gets a good feeling from using things up. My husband is my opposite - he always buys more before he runs out of anything. Empty makes him anxious! I breathe a sigh of relief as the fridge empties before shopping day, he definitely does not!) I guess the question would be whether it actually makes sense for you to buy collection kits, etc. I don't think you can ever use up an alpha sticker sheet completely without using them for non-word purposes, and I only use up picture sticker sheets by adding the leftovers to an ephemera journal or giving (or throwing) them away. But if not using things up bothers you, buying single sheets or smaller quantities might be the answer.

I used up the remains of a sheet of enamel dots!! Pretty sure I've had them for about a decade.
I also used some of the more challenging large enamel dots on a project. The largest ones seem to big for most of my cards but I used 4 of them for buttons on my fun fold shirt card. Yay!

No where near used up, but I am using my old bazillion bazzil swatches. I have well over 100 3x3 bazillion swatches from back in the day. I’m using them in my memory planner as tags & other die cut things.
Can always find the perfect color. Lol. I’ll probably be sad when they are gone
