Hi Linda! After a hiatus from scrapbooking in 2022, I'm back in full force for 2023. I've been keeping up with my project life and I'm debating keeping going with my OLW. I didn't do the March prompt and I'm unsure what I will do going forward. But I'm working my word in my real life. I also have a new grandson and I've got a 12x12 album just for him that I haven't started yet but want to get to. I am hoping my DH will build a dual desk set up in Esther's former bedroom so I can have one to scrapbook and one to sew. I've been doing a lot of cleaning and organizing in both my office/craft room (I work from home) and in my new craft/exercise space. I like to crochet and scrapbook and I've recently taken up quilting as well. So even though I'm a small Stasher on every craft, multiple crafts make it seem like I have a lot of stuff. I look forward to playing and chatting.

Hi Linda and teammates! My real-life name is Kirsten - pronounced "Kiersten" - my parents wanted the Scandinavian pronunciation and spelling (no, we have no Scandinavian in us at all!!!), forgetting that this would be difficult to achieve when it was commonly said "Kursten" in North America. I was "Kiersty" for much of my life, but as an adult nick-names fall out of use. I'm noticing that now with my DS24 - we've always called him by his middle name, but when school, work and bank refer to him by his ID/first name, he just goes with it so he has 2 names now! My online name - Kitbop - came because when I sign my name it blends and looks like "Kit". DH started playfully calling me "Kitbop" for some reason and I adopted it! I've been really enjoying scrapping recently, getting a couple of layouts done a week. A layout takes me about 4 hours. I am s.l.o.w. Fingers crossed my mojo hangs in there!

kitbop (btw- you didn't get my tag right - it's mUm not mom at the end) Glad that I've been mentally pronouncing your name correctly - I had a friend years ago with that spelling & pronunciation as well - I think she had a Finnish heritage.

Good morning Nice to be back after a long break from challenges. I'm hoping I don't get overwhelmed again. It looks like the new method is counting is very easy, so I just need to readjust to sharing and commenting. I make photo books for Journal Your Christmas and to share our year with my family (easy and much appreciated Christmas gift for overseas family) but my main crafting is cardmaking. I have a small Etsy shop that I'm probably going to close this year. But most of my energy goes to making cards for seniors and foster kids. I spend the rest of my time helping a relative sell all the collected collections from his huge house (he's never used a computer) and crocheting very simple blankets. Linda I think you're missing a number in your 3rd kiddo's age DD16? 17? 18? I can't keep track of time any more. I'm sure you know the feeling.

Hello to all the Paper Posse peas! I'm still adjusting/re-adjusting to finding time to scrap (& pursue other crafts) while working full time. After a months-long break, I went back to work last fall just before the holidays, and work now takes a significant chunk out of my time, energy, and mojo. I'm a fairly slow scrapper to begin with (tagging kitbop here ), so factor that in and I'm just not getting much done. DS gets home from his study abroad year next month, and I'm hoping to make a lot more progress on the album I started with photos he's shared from his time in Morocco and surrounding areas where he and his classmates traveled on breaks or as part of their program. I've completed about a dozen LOs so far but he's shared a ton of pix, so I've got a ways to go!

Hi everyone!
I'm back to scrapping after a 12 year hiatus and I'm so happy to be part of the Paper Posse. I went back to school and recently graduated from university, so I'm trying to find more time for self-care. Scrapping qualifies as self-care to me!
I have the same username I had on the old 2peas forum.
Can anyone help me out in getting my account approved? I've been "pending staff approval" since February and I can't post on the admin forum asking for help.

Welp -- you know what they say about making plans...aaarrrggh! My elderly father fell this morning and broke his arm. He lives by himself and even though they were able to set his arm ("simple" break), he needs someone to stay with him while he mends since he can't drive, cook, etc. So, I will be heading out first thing in the morning (~7 hours). I'll have even less time for crafting, at least for the next few weeks.

I think you're missing a number in your 3rd kiddo's age thanks for catching that - DD is 16 welcome back to the challenges - they are much easier to count now but if you need help, just tag me scrappinwithoutpeas - welcome! What an exciting adventure for your DS @petscrapper -Welcome back! Scrapping definitely counts as self-care! I can't help with the approval but I'll try tagging grammadee and admin and see if they can help

Thanks for leading us Linda! I'm not sure why I chose the username I did. I wanted something anonymous enough and I'm so bad at thinking up cool or catchy usernames lol. It's pronounced Nonna - even though it's spelled nana - first time gramma and as soon as he was wandering around saying "nonna nonna - I snagged the name. Miss spelling and all lol. I'm hoping to actually get some scrapping done this quarter.

Anyone scrapping yet this month? The sharing thread seems to be hopping. I've only done one super simple genealogy page but am hoping to work on Easter cards later today.

I’m working on a sheetload of cards. I just need to figure out the sentiment and embellishment this afternoon.
I need to do some photo maintenance after our trip to NZ last month but my photostream is acting up and the photos haven’t transferred to my computer like they’re supposed to. I’m doing an iOS update that might help. I haven’t started my 2023 blurb book yet but if/when I can get the photo thing sorted out I’ll start this weekend.

joblackford - is there a blog or a tutorial or something on Blurb books for the non-techy? I have bunches of old photos that I would like to turn into photo books - nothing fancy, just photos and captions but fighting with Shutterfly's process has defeated me and I have yet to learn digi-scrapping (even the basics). I got my Easter cards made this morning in the crop - went with super-simple so I can get them written tonight and in the mail tomorrow morning - and managed one layout and most of a second.

I use the free BookWright software which is very simple and all done offline. You can set it up so every page is the same template and it can even autofill the photos if you have them already set up in the order you want them, eg. sorted by filename or date taken. Otherwise it's drag and drop. Not everyone loves the print quality but I find their 7x7" books very cost effective, giftable, reprintable if you want more copies, and easy to make. I don't think you need any special skills to use their BookWright software, but I would've said the same about Shutterfly. What gave you problems with them? I haven't used them in a long time but I would've thought they should be pretty straightforward. www.blurb.com/bookwright

Thanks joblackford - the issues I had with Shutterfly was mostly with captioning and cropping - I prefer to have more white and my whole photo vs the software cropping it to fit the template. Both of those are probably user error but... I'll give bookwright a try.

BookWright let’s you modify the templates and save them to use again later so hopefully once you get things the way you like them it will be smooth sailing. and you should be able to switch between fitting and filling the photo template. Feel free to message me if you have any questions

linda I’ve been in contact with grammadee and reached out to her again. I think I’m waiting on a user with “staff” privileges (maybe admin?). I’ve verified my email and can login, but I must choose “guest” when I do. I’ve been “pending staff approval” since Feb. 12.

@petscrapper - I think admin may be the only one with those options. grammadee is a moderator and has some tools but I don't think all of them. Hopefully admin can get you fixed up soon Can you share links as a guest? We don't typically share by uploading here due to space limitations? People tend to upload to Instagram, Flicker, or Imgur and then share from there.
