Welcome to Quarter 2! Creative Critters team members: grammadee katiekaty AussieMeg nylene natscraps pantsonfire azcrafty MDscrapaholic Ryann Shakti cycworker gramma This is my first time as a team leader, so bare with me a little bit I think I know all the team members here, but please feel free to introduce yourself! You can share a little bit about your username, and what current scrappy/crafty projects you have going on right now. My username (ScrappyRabbit) is because rabbits are my favorite animal. Since it's springtime now, I love seeing all the bunnies on my walks in the park, and all the bunny themed baby clothes in the store right now! My current crafty projects are: finishing 2022 album, mini-album for my dog Arthur, and mini-album/weekly documenting of my pregnancy. I am falling behind on all 3 projects at the moment but hoping to catch up soon! If you have a chance, head over to the challenge thread to set some challenges. You have until April 7 to set a challenge. Looking forward to the next 3 months with you!

Hello scrappyrabbit ! I'm in Maryland so my name is MDscrapaholic. I've been busy with the Crop & Create last weekend, and still have some cards/classes to do, so I hope to keep adding those to my total. I'd like to get back into scrapping, but need to clean off all my card supplies first!

Good morning, Critters! My user name is based on the name my oldest grandkids started calling me, and it stuck for the rest of them. I stubbornly spell Gramma the way it sounds, and to separate me from my Brit grandmother who had us carefully enunciate Grandma. Most of my scrapbooking is done in seasonal themes and involves my dgk's aged 7 through 23. Like MDscrapaholic, I am still mopping up from Crop & Create cardmaking. And I have signed up for their papercrafting weekend this month. I think the kits for that are on their way, so I am excited to get my hands on those new goodies.

Hello! My user name is my first name but pronounced like "Ryan".
My current crafty project is packing up my crafty space (and the rest of the house!) as we're moving to the PNW this summer. I've kept aside some projects to keep me entertained in the "before we list the house" stage of the move, but eventually I'll need to pare things down even further to fit into a single rolling craft bag.
First up to work on are cards for the 2peas spring card exchange. I'm usually better prepared for the swaps but was waylaid by covid so I lost some of the time we have to get them sent out. I previously pulled together a kit to use for this project, so I'm giving myself an hour to sit here at my table to see if I can get a card or two made.
Once those are complete I have some classes from the February Pinkfresh event to do, and all the classes from last weekend's SCT card making event. I also have a summer card making kit pulled together in anticipation of the summer 2peas card swap, so I could start on those, too.

My username is just my name, Nylene, named after my dad who was Nile. I have so many birthdays coming up soon so I am working on cards to have on hand, addressed and ready to send. The grands always ask for interactive cards so I am trying out some new folds and movements.
We have a lot going on in the next couple of months so I may not be as active as usual.

Thank you for taking on the role of team leader for Q 2, scrappyrabbit. My username is self explanatory. When I joined the OG Two Peas I wanted it to be obvious where I was from, partly so people wouldn't think I was a bad speller if I wrote 'colour' or 'realise' etc etc! I haven't set any goals for this quarter, because I'll just be disappointed in myself when I don't meet them haha! I would like to start working on my PL again - I've only done two weeks so far. I love sketches, so I like to make sure that I do all the sketches. I didn't do as many of the theme challenges for Q1 as I wanted to. I didn't even do my own. So I want to make more of an effort to do them this quarter. scrappyrabbit can you remind me when you're due? I love seeing your layouts starring Arthur, and can't wait to see your layouts or your baby. 😍

AussieMeg September! Not sure how Arthur feels about no longer being an only child but alas… I plan on scrapping the day away tomorrow while my husband tackles the taxes. I need to get my sample for next weeks Sketchy Saturday and then maybe catch up in my pregnancy book. I realized I’m a month behind 😳 Speaking of Sketchy Saturday, if you enjoy playing with sketches, we encourage you to sign up to host one! It’s easy, all you have to do is find a sketch (or make one) and post your layout.

AussieMeg no comment! 🙈 I did one layout today and two weeks in my mini-album. It was such a beautiful day here in SoCal so I sat on my patio for a while soaking in some sun. I hope everyone had a nice weekend!

Hi everyone! I finished a lot of cards for both the swap here on 2peas and for dh's work. Now that those are out of the way, I want to get back to my pocket page layouts.
Have a long list of pages to make. I also need to get new albums but that will be next month. Can't decide on what colors I want.
Going to work on some pages today. Dd has a college class and I don't have much going on at home other than a few loads of laundry.

scrappyrabbit it is so nice to finally have some sunny days here in Southern CA! We went to Cabazon Dinosaurs this past weekend and it was barely breezy (almost always windy there) and the sun felt so good. Then baseball on Sunday was perfect.

I don't have challenges from all of our team yet... Even if you have already added, time for a second look. Take a look at the Q-2 Challenges Thread and see if there is anything you would like to add. Has to be done TODAY...

Anyone scrapping this weekend? Or other plans? My parents are in town and it’s my niece and nephews 3rd and 1st birthday party. I’m supposed to help decorate, but my cousin forgot to bring half the stuff over so we couldn’t do much yesterday. Its two different themes: Encanto and Balls (like sports balls)

Have fun at the birthday parties and take lots of photos, scrappyrabbit ! We have family here this weekend. They have gone to town for a pancake breakfast. I need to make some salads this morning and get a turkey into the oven by noon. Also need to make sure I get some pic's taken myself. Had supper with dh's sister and family last night and I didn't even take one photo. Do have a cute one though our niece took of our dgs bottle feeding a calf.

I am working on pocket page layouts today while I prep for Easter at my parents. I have to make a blackberry cobbler and 2 pasta salads (regular and chickpea GF version).

I finished my exchange cards in bits in the mornings this past week (and forgot to take photo before mailing them out, so much for that point). Now I'm circling back to C&C. But I should probably be doing homework for the HA stamp along next weekend.
Or paying bills and balancing the checkbook...off to adult now.

Anyone scrapping this weekend? Or other plans? We have four days off for the Easter break. My SIL rented a house at the beach, so there are six of us staying here, plus three dogs and a bird. We're usually pretty lucky with the weather at Easter, and it's usually our last beach swim for the year. Unfortunately this time around it's cool and raining on and off. On the upside, it means I've been able to do some scrapping while stuck inside.

Hello everyone! I am Katie (katiekaty) from from the west side of Houston. I have been scrapbooking for 32 years plus and yes I have some paper that is that old! I also make cards, cupcake and cake toppers ( before they became the rage) since I have 4 kids in their 30s and 3 grandkids. I have always done something creatively from sewing, embroidering, crocheting and knitting, sketching and painting, and even a tiny bit of scrap metal welding (I had a miniature welding set, but I gave that up!), and cake, candy and cookie decorating that I still do but only for family and very close friends. I usually get anywhere from 15-30 minutes crafting or baking in everyday other than regular household duties and meals and days that I work. Weekends are mine, though an unless I give everyone a break and cook, they get leftovers and fend for themselves! And I don’t feel sorry for them either, so, there!😎 Newest crafty scrappy stuff that I am working on is items for a tiered tray. It’s always fun to decorate them up in whatever the move strikes me! Thanks scrappyrabbit for hosting this wonderful team this quarter!

Good morning! Happy Easter 🐣 not too much going right at our house. Chicken is marinating for kabobs later. Walmart grocery order has benn placed for delivery. Will be making a sugar and peanut butter double batches of cookie dough in little bit. Will be making some fifties for the cardiac rehab team since I get discharge from there tomorrow. Later on I will finish prep for the grill ed meal for dinner—we’re doing chicken kabob with sausage and like potatoes and corn on the corn and green beans cooked in the grill pan. It will be something to look forward to today since it’s so yummy an DS2. Is awesome on the grill! Probably the only crafty thing I will do is sit outside and prep the svgs for cutting for the tiered tray while the dog runs wild in the backyard this afternoon! Hope everyone has a great day!

Hope everyone had a good Easter for those who celebrate. We went to my parents. Had a lovely day and no wind! It is almost always windy at their home. Kids and cousin had fun finding eggs.
Since we were home early, I was able to get several pocket page layouts done yesterday. Just finished my second of the day and will work on my third before I go to bed. It is the last layout for DS for 2022!

I wasn’t able to scrap this weekend but I had a great time with my family. Pesky work gets in the way of your weekday crops grammadee one day I will have to call in sick to crop with your ladies! This coming weekend is double points! So any layouts you make between Thursday and Monday will count twice for points. Hopefully I can get my crafty mojo on, at least Sunday is looking like a free day for me.

Why double points? My family is leaving for a week and I have double booked myself into TWO virtual crafting retreats for the weekend! And here in Massachusetts, Monday is an holiday. So, assuming creations like cards count as well as layouts, what fortuitous timing!

My name is the first part of my name Natalie and I scrap of course! I’m a busy teacher mom with a special needs son so I don’t get too much free time to keep up with the chat threads during the school year. Why double points? My family is leaving for a week and I have double booked myself into TWO virtual crafting retreats for the weekend! And here in Massachusetts, Monday is an holiday. So, assuming creations like cards count as well as layouts, what fortuitous timing! I’m on spring break this week and headed to a weekend crop hosted by the ‘local’ scrapbook store. I put local in quotes because it’s 1.5 hrs away. Double points here I come!

Double points weekends was our "special event" this quarter. There will be one in April, one in May and one in June. Shakti and natscraps, for those 4 days you can count DOuBLE points for not only what you create but the TIME you spend crafting. So instead of 10 points per hour, count 20. And if you are in a virtual or in-person crop, you can count DOUBLE-DOUBLE the usual hourly scrapping alone rate so 40 points per hour!)
