Summit this weekend! ETA: free videos linked on this schedule page papercraftersgetorganized.com/schedule-page/-- Some of the card makers I follow posted about this new free weekend of classes about organizing craft supplies, April 21-23. There are 26 or 29 videos from a fairly interesting array of teachers including many that have been in recent Cardmaker Success Summits and a couple that I was very surprised to see - Julie Fei-Fan Balzer and Paige Taylor Evans. It's intended to be for a variety of crafters, not just card makers or scrapbookers, although quite a few people on the teaching list are mostly card makers. And it's not just for people with full rooms to organize. papercraftersgetorganized.com/?affiliate=ardythpr (Ardyth's affiliate link) or papercraftersgetorganized.com/ It's the same format as the Cardmaker Success Summit - videos are free for the first 24 hours after they're posted but there's an option to buy anytime access. They don't tell you how much it is until you sign up for the free pass and then they try to say the special price is only available for 30 minutes, which is not true. (ETA - actually that may be true for this summit. The price seems to be $59 now) It's $39 (*a $2500 value, lol) and they will email you plenty of chances to upgrade. (ETA - or at least the other summit I joined gave me many chances to give them more money).

The sounds interesting but where in the world do they get a $2,500 value? 😆

The sounds interesting but where in the world do they get a $2,500 value? 😆 They must really value themselves. The video is not loading for me, but I am not too interested in paying, nor rushing to watch a bunch of videos. I am in the process of purging before I can do any more organizing. I follow a minimalist (a reasonable one) and try to use her tactics for purging. One of her things is not be be your fantasy self. Meaning, stop pretending you are going to get to the million projects you think/fantasize about doing. Get rid of the stuff because you are never going to get around to it.

I probably already follow her but just in case I don't... ETA: you can't organize clutter good for you in working on reducing what you have first! Dana K White points out that she never actually organized her house because decluttering achieved what she wanted from organizing.

If you act in the next 30 minutes... ;P Justine's handwritten notes alone are "a $300 value" which may accurately reflect the time she put in as an hourly wage, but definitely not their value to me. Sorry, Justine. If I'm going to watch the videos I'll take my own notes based on what I find useful info.

I decided to register for the free part. After I signed up, they listed what else you get for $39. papercraftersgetorganized.com/ultimate-organization-bundle/The getting your creative mojo back workbook and the virtual layout class on may 10 by Paige Evans sold me. I happen to have 5/10 off for my Botox injections as it is. Those two, plus access right now when I’m on spring break? Take my money! I’ll let y’all know if it’s worth it.

I feel like being organized is what I do best. I needed someone to get me going on scrapping. Apparently all it took was a piece of paper with the months on it in box letters with 365 numbers on the year to cross off. I found that for free on FB. . If the $39 gets you organized, then it is well worth it. I might look at the free part, but I probably watch just as many craft room organization videos as I do process videos.

I thought about it but since I’m into day 4 of totally reorganizing my entire craft room the last thing I need is someone having me second guess myself.

The price is now up to $59. Just an FYI. Hmm, interesting… I just followed the link from my free class email and you’re right. The price gone up. Maybe they really did have the cheapest deal for the first 30 minutes after you sign up like they said, or maybe they’ve just raised the price closer to the event. I was considering upgrading for $40 but not for $60 so I guess my decision has been made. Apologies to anyone who ignored the 30 min countdown clock on my advice, thinking they could reconsider closer to the day. I’ll edit the OP.

I received an email saying the price was lowered again for just today: "It's come to our attention there was a small error on the website linking where you couldn't see what was available in the bundle pass. Our error is YOUR gain! You can grab the Ultimate Organization Bundle for $39 for just 24 hours only! This price won't be offered again so act now! The price will go up to $99 on the summit weekend!" joblackford so if you really wanted it, now is your chance! I signed up for the free content.

I paid the $39 to access it when it works for me. So far, I'm not all that impressed with what I've watched.

Just noticed that there's a live lunch n learn with Catherine Pooler at 1. I have no experience with her at all, but I know lots of Peas love her inks, so I'll try to catch that.
There's a stencil organization live shortly with Mary Polanco. I think I saw her present something at the Cardmaker's Summit, but I can't remember what I thought. Can't hurt to give that a shot.

It seems like this event was a way for each of the presenters to get access to your email address - "give me your email and you can have this FREE resource", etc. (even if you paid for the event). I don't like in this type of "marketing" so I ejected from the FB group and unsubscribed from the event emails.

I’m looking at their YouTube channel and so far all I see are two “live” videos with the presenters answering random questions. Are these the presentations? I’m confused.

When you signed up - you should have received an email with a link to the schedule page. The links on that page go live at 9am each morning (so Friday's are currently active). The 'live' videos are Q&A from some (but not all) of the presenters.

There was another clickable link but I clicked HERE and wound up in the wrong spot. Not exactly clear but thank you for the help!

I think a lot of people got confused. You had to scroll past at least a dozen links to find the main schedule page! For anyone checking in here, the page to start at for the free videos is HERE : papercraftersgetorganized.com/schedule-page/

I don't like in this type of "marketing" so I ejected from the FB group and unsubscribed from the event emails. Yes, that is a major feature of these summits... I totally get where you're coming from. I don't plan to give out my email unless it's a really useful resource and/or a person I am OK subscribing to for a while (like Call Me Crafty Al on the cardmaker summit, or Ardyth). I felt bombarded by the emails from the first cardmaker summit I joined (just the emails from the organizers!) but in comparison this one hasn't felt too bad so far. I'm on the FB group but not very active so far. My profile pic is a sunflower. I have never enjoyed any crafty Fbk group I've joined so I skipped that element. I paid the $39 to access it when it works for me. So far, I'm not all that impressed with what I've watched. Ugh, sorry to hear that... I haven't started watching yet. I wasn't sure of the quality of these presenters which is why I was hesitant to pay anything, especially given how many organizing ideas are just not going to work for my stash and my space. I hope you find some that are worth your time and money.

I've watched the first two and haven't found anything really different from what they (or someone else) has already put out on YouTube. It is just the first two classes, so that might change, but I don't see the $2,600 value they say it will be. I feel like everyone has my email already, so if someone sends too many emails, I just put them on a spam list and they are gone.

I've watched four so far - Paige, Tiffany, Justine, and Mary. I don't tend to watch many crafting videos so I've enjoyed seeing the different crafting spaces. I am glad that I went with the free option - to me...they haven't been worth paying for. Fun to watch - yes!
I think Tiffany has been the most useful for me and I took away some good ideas from her - especially the monthly reset concept...I liked that.
Paige's room is beautiful but overwhelming. There's just so much...colour, design, stuff...I did like that she decorated with her art and art from friends and purchased art - my room could use some (not nearly that much) decorating.
None of Mary's stencil ideas work for me but I did come up with something else to try after watching her video so...AND seeing her put the stencils and out of page protectors showed me that won't work for me - too fiddly.
I did like the cleaner, less colourful storage in Justine's space - more in line with what works for me.
As for the emails...I regularly go through my inbox and liberally hit unsubscribe so not stressed on that.

I find it amusing that they can't seem to make these summits easy to access. Don was so frustrated by the Cardmaker's Success Summit that he just gave up.
When I signed up for this one, they sent me a tutorial video on how to navigate their site, but I promptly lost it. I'm having a somewhat easier time with this one that I did the last one at least.

None of Mary's stencil ideas work for me but I did come up with something else to try after watching her video so...AND seeing her put the stencils and out of page protectors showed me that won't work for me - too fiddly. I just fast-forwarded through that one because I already keep mine in an old letter sized binder and it's fine but I also only have about a dozen so I don't really need a detailed solution for them. I agree that watching her wrestle them in and out of the page protectors was a good lesson in why this might not work, which has some value I guess. It's easier if the plastic sleeves are bigger than the stencils but then they can flop around. Keeping them loose in a plastic container didn't work for me, nor did leaving them in their packaging. Hanging rings work if you have a bunch of same sized ones like the TH ones and you use them the way he does. I don't. Ardyth has a video about why she doesn't use binders and what she uses instead (basically JMcG's stamp bins). She has a lot of different sizes and shapes that wouldn't fit in a binder. Starting where she shows her flip-through solution about a minute in:

The audio on all the videos is out of sync for me. Annoying!
And I agree, not content I would pay for. Fun to let run in the background. Emails are part of the gig, IMO, for producing free content. I have not had to enter mine anywhere though. Just followed link to videos from here, I have not registered for the Summit.
