For Carissa's second card, the green cardstock panel is the wrong size. I cut it what it says in the book (PDF - 3 1/2" x 4 3/4") but it's too small. I believe the correct size is 3 3/4" x 5". I stopped. By the time I got the correct size of green cut out she was too far ahead. I'll have to do this one another day.

She had a cutting/measurement error in her homework for the Altenew Secret Garden retreat, too. And the stenciling directions in the PDF are wrong. I was stuck waiting for her live to start after the technical difficulties and joined the correct feed after she’d started. I don’t like the colors I chose, but putting them together wrong didn’t help.

Amy’s class - I thought we could pause these videos! I did pause it, so I could finish stamping the holly leaves, because she just jumps ahead and she's done them all already. She's not stamping them live. There's no ability to rejoin the video where you paused it at. Jeepers.
ETA: Edited to add, the replay can be paused.

Yeah, since I wasn’t crafting the last class live and DH decided to come home for supper, I thought I’d pause to eat with him.

I’m not a fan of zoom. It was very glitchy and does not play nice with my iPad. It works better on my Mac but still a bit glitchy. I did the fist two classes live but needed a break so I’ll start Amy’s class once it’s finished. I found Carissa’s instagram page and her color pallet makes sooooo much more sense now. 😀 MDscrapaholic LOVE your card #1. What color ink did you use for inside the glass?

I came back from being out of town last week and my box had arrived - yay! But then I opened it & I am one of the ones who has class 1 & 5 missing…hopefully I will get those in the next few days. Those were the 2 classes I was most excited about as well. I know I’ll get them as I got an email from PF just crossing my fingers I get them before Saturday… Hoping to start my homework tomorrow!! Did your missing class products arrived in time? Yes! I got them Thursday night!

Here are my class 1 cards plus the make & take. I did add gold splatter to the red card and the slimline card (instead of the ghost stamping). I stuck pretty true to the examples for these.

Class 2 cards. I went off and did my own thing on these as I was not a fan of the colors for this class so I used some pattern paper instead. I did love the make & take!

Class 3 cards. The wreath was a struggle but it’s finished. I did switch to more traditional colors as well didn’t really love the blush for me. I added a frame to the make & take. I LOVE the JOY card. I did not do the easel element - just kept it as standard card.

MDscrapaholic LOVE your card #1. What color ink did you use for inside the glass? Thank you! I used Distress Oxide Festive Berries for the top, and a very light hand of Worn Lipstick at the bottom.

mbanda you must be a speedy crafter -- and all so beautiful! As are everyone's. I really like the second cocktail card as an A2 and I might be able to finish that one in the nearly three hours before class starts today if I do it that way. I'm not sure how to salvage Carissa's class. Not only did I not track what card stock colors I used, in many cases I uses one-off pieces I had, so if I don't have the right green panels I'll need to regroup a little. Off to the craft room! I got all the elements for the second card from the cocktail set done and then remembered the holly, but I need to put some stuff away first -- deep into the overwhelm in there! I used my HB No-Line Coloring pad for the background stamping, so since I had it out, I also used it for the pre-blending layer. Worked pretty well. If I do a third set of gifts and greenery, I may try it there, too. It seems to me that these stamps are pretty easy to selectively ink, so it should be very possible to do a second layer in dark green on the line-image greens and VFC black on the outline images.

Love how you improvised on the snowflake! I stopped making it halfway through because I didn't see anything about acetate or shaker supplies. That's on me, my bad. But I couldn't get past why she had us cut the snowflake out, and then put it back in the template so the shaker bits would not get caught on the snowflake edges. Why not just stamp it and not cut it out? The embossed background gives it a little more oomph! I never thought to turn the Joy to the World card. I was wondering how it would fit in an A2 envelope with the J and the Y hanging off the edges... I'm setting up for the ornament cards with Channin, but am going to just watch the Kristina Warner ones.

Everyone's doing such a good job on their cards. I'm not doing the classes today, I had a bit of an impromptu baby shower brunch and I am wiped out. I'm happy I can come here and see what everyone else did, and maybe change things up, like with the joy card being landscape orientation. Thanks ladies!

I just messed up the second ornament card so I think I'm done with this one also. It's still raining hard here (TS Ophelia) so I need to go out and check around the house when it stops a little.
Not sure if I'm going to watch the last class or my Cowboys! LOL

I really enjoyed this first class, but I'm taking a break and will finish up my second card later, I made a mistake on it so I'll just have lunch instead. I have to laugh at the questions people ask that aren't related to what Lea is teaching - can you tell me how you organize your brushes, can you show me how to cut a card panel, can you tell me how to build an Ikea Kallax unit without instructions? Okay I made that last one up, but I'm expecting it. Lea is handling them very well. Oh my goodness! That made me laugh

They’ve announced the next event will be in February and is a collab with Pretty Pink Posh. I really like that Yana and Mindy are teaching. Registration is Oct 21st. Decisions decisions. 😆

Why not just stamp it and not cut it out? Yeah, right?! I ended up just not putting the template back in. This seems so far to be the most successful shaker I've made. They keep getting a little better and a little freer to move little by little with each one. If the bits get stuck on the snow flake instead of the edges, I'm counting it as a win!

Cards from class 5 - I think this was my favorite class. I love the bright saturated colors. I did use my Distress Inks for my watercolor background as they moved better with water. I did golf splatter on this one too. I also added a stitched background to the Deck the Halls card as I thought it needed some texture/interest in the background.

Cards from Jennifer’s class. These were not my fave. I also switched up the colors on the snowflake class as I didn’t like the pink. The sentiment on the ornament card is from a foiled PF set from last year. Maybe I was tired but I struggled to finish these but I did it so yay!! I saw the announcement about the 2024 Feb class. My bestie & I have already decided we will sign up again 😊
