Life got in the way so I could not watch or participate this weekend but planning to do these classes really soon.

Beautiful cards mbanda. Live all the changes you made to the cards. After making 1 card with Heather, her second card, I just felt burned out with the event. I will revisit it at a later time, probably in November. I have to prepare for CARDtober and SLoC so decided to work on those instead.

Love seeing everyone’s projects! I hope more of us will post.
I did Saturday’s classes (sans class 2, neither the stamps nor the projects are my thing) with local friends and I just love the cards. Last night I made several more of the second class 1 card in A2 size and turned the booze into bourbon (getting a good amber color was a bit of a challenge) in the glass and used a more masculine hand when ink blending. Hoping they’re ok for guys. Will post for your opinion another day.
These stamps/dies/stencils are so gorgeous, I am thrilled at how my cards turned out. I loved last February’s classes too, so no surprise there and those supplies are well loved and used for other projects. I’ll be first in line for the next PF event.
I’m holding off on Sunday’s classes until next weekend when I’m supposed to get together with a (pea) friend to do them. I did kind of watch Channin’s class as I was doing other things yesterday and I cannot wait to dive into it because I . LOVE. COLOR!
Hope everyone had a great time this weekend!

My nephews are really into whiskey so thanks for the great idea! I had decided I wasn't going to do any more PF events, just SCT ones, but then they said collab with Pretty Pink Posh and I said "Sign me up!". I just love PPP. I guess the companies that aren't in C&CD are joining up with PF now? And Altenew is doing both plus their own.

I thought the Pink Fresh and Stamp Market collab was perfect. They have similar styles and give off a similar vibe. To me, Pretty Pink Posh doesn't jive with Pink Fresh at all. I feel like they are complete opposites so the collab is sort of weird to me. I don't own any PPP stamp sets but I do have a couple stand alone die sets and some layering stencils.
I've decided I won't be doing any more holiday specific events. I just don't send enough holiday cards. I'm torn about the February event. I really like Yana and Mindy's styles but I just don't know that I'm sold on PPP.
Maybe I'll have a better idea once C&CD announces their 2024 schedule this weekend.

In my mind, there is is so much potential for non-holiday cards with that set. I'd like to see what the masses do with it. Those "berries" in the glass can total be made into ice cubes for other drinks.

A couple of the cards are going to be given with a bottle of whiskey from a local distillery (or one of their holiday gift sets) along with either engraved glasses or other boozy accoutrements. Decided to do that as I worked on the cards so thanks to PF for helping out with these gifts. If you happen to give gifts to your nephews, even an assortment of little "airplane" sized bottles of booze would work well too, yes?

I agree about the pairing for this past weekend, it was a match that was meant to be. I know next to nothing about PPP, but, I'm willing to try. I was introduced to brands I may have never looked at thanks to SCT events. Since I'm not going to do those any more, this works for me.

I've decided I won't be doing any more holiday specific events. I just don't send enough holiday cards. I'm torn about the February event. I really like Yana and Mindy's styles but I just don't know that I'm sold on PPP. I think I'm going to have to take a good hard look at things in the next few weeks. I like Mindy's style, but have trouble listening to her voice. I don't really know Yana, though the name seems vaguely familiar. I don't really know Pretty Pink Posh, I've now done one C&CD, an Altenew retreat, C&9th Summer Camp, and this event. In two weeks I'll do another Altenew event, holiday focused. I agree with MichyM that the SCT C&CDs are nice because of the introduction to brands that are new to you, but if those events have the same advertisers over and over, subsequent eventsno longer have that effect. There's still a lot of variety, but it's a long, hard slog. I love Altenew but hated that first event. I have higher hopes for the upcoming one, but there are only so many holiday events you can do. I feel like I should take a break, but then there's the FOMO. I understand why the registration is so early compared to the event; there's so much work that goes into them. But it's so hard to know in October what you might feel up for in February!

I like some PPP die sets and their stencils. I'm definitely signing up for the next event. Right now I'm thinking to do PF events in February and August and the fall SCT- I like how they have fall and holiday mixed up in this one.

I liked the event and most of the cards. I generally had a good experience. Sharing some thoughts… I love Carissa & her style but I don’t feel like her cards for her class were very “her.” I can’t put my finger on it. I wonder if she had a harder time using the supplies. I liked the make & take card with that set though and I intend to make it. The surprise favorite class for me was Channin’s. I was giggling like a kid doing her inky technique for the first card! I also used my distress inks (regular, not oxides) and felt they worked so well with that technique. Loved it, love how the cards turned out, love the colors she used. I loved The Stamp Market cards. I will NEVER do that wreath one as a card ever again 😂 Don’t get me wrong, it’s absolutely gorgeous! But there’s no one on my card list who would truly appreciate it. I might frame mine. 😂 I think TSM and PF are a great pairing though and I liked having that different look. Kristina did a great job filling in. I wish Jennifer McGuire had also been able to incorporate the Stamp Market product into her mix it up cards. I would have liked to see her spin on them mixed with the Pinkfresh stuff. I wonder if she didn’t get product in time. But I really liked her ways to use the slider set. I’m happy to have another creative way to make a gift card holder! Lea and Heather’s classes are always good. I think both of their sets have so much potential outside of winter/Christmas. Even the snowflake doesn’t look too snowflake-y after she pieced it and used different colors. I enjoyed both of those classes and knew I would! Pinkfresh does seem like they wait too long to make these events happen. There always seems to be last minute issues that could be avoided by having product ready and delivered earlier. It has worked out for me and haven’t had issues, but it seems to be stressful for a lot of people. I’m interested to hear how the next one goes. I’m on the fence if I’ll do it or not. I like the idea of less themed cards for the next one since it’s not Christmas. But I can’t take too many card events before I get burnt out. One thing I do love about the “smaller” events is how much less drama there is in the group, so many less repeated questions and things. I think it’s BRILLIANT they’re going to cap the events going forward. It helps keep a more community feel. It’s one of the reasons I had to nope out of the Crop & Create card events. I couldn’t stand the group during the last event. It soured my experience to the point of me not ever wanting to do another one I’m really glad I signed up for the event! I’ll definitely do another one at some point, I think. And I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

azcrafty, that's an interesting point. I might try next fall's SCT C&CD, which is likely to be very different from the fall one. I hope there will be some kind of peeks to the February class next month when registration opens.

I did 2 spring and 2 fall SCT events and I realized that I like the fall one better because there is so many different themes to the cards. In the past there was no sneaks for the first registration. When they open up for the second time thats when they have the sneak peeks.

You all have me so excited to work on the classes this week! I do plan on signing up for their February event and I do like a lot of Pretty Pink Posh's stuff too. I just used a few of them this past weekend for some Christmas cards. I'll post those in the sharing thread.

I think I figured out a couple of things I want to try with the ornaments. I think I prefer it done the way the packaging and the make & take have it -- with two base colors of ornament. And I think I'll probably use more "traditional" Christmas colors. And I have some different ideas for shiny. Now if only I knew when I would find the time.
I also might steal the patterned paper background idea upthread instead of the inky drippy thing, which was really not at all successful for me. Possibly because I am not entirely sure which of my inks are water-reactive (with the exception of my HA Reactive ones) and which are not.

If you happen to give gifts to your nephews, even an assortment of little "airplane" sized bottles of booze would work well too, yes? Yes, that would be a fun gift, or even a little mickey of whiskey. It's a gift that will get used, for sure! I think going forward I'll stick with SCT events, plus this spring PF and PPP collab. I don't think I'll do PF's holiday events anymore, the cards are generally too intensive for me to mass produce. The Fall SCT does provide a greater variety of types of cards than the spring but I enjoy both so I think I can continue with both. I’m really glad I signed up for the event! I’ll definitely do another one at some point, I think. And I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend these to anyone. That's great, that's all that matters! I also might steal the patterned paper background idea upthread instead of the inky drippy thing, which was really not at all successful for me. Possibly because I am not entirely sure which of my inks are water-reactive (with the exception of my HA Reactive ones) and which are not. I just assume an ink isn't unless they specifically say. So for me I'd stick to Tim Holtz inks and the HA ones.

I really love what we did, but don't need another years worth of PF's holiday products again next year. If I need a second PF fix net year, I'll do their second "regulars" card event. There are other brands' events I still want to try as well. And I agree with you about the amount of time needed to make the PF cards in general. I am planning on mass producing a (slightly different) TSM wreath today, and I'm curious if the stamping and die cutting will go more quickly making 8-10 cards at once instead of just one. We will see. I can always opt out at 4 if need be I did make several (A2 size) of Class One card 2 on Sunday and (for me) I didn't think those took too terribly long.

I just assume an ink isn't unless they specifically say. So for me I'd stick to Tim Holtz inks and the HA ones. Well, the Pinkfresh must be too, right? Or that background wouldn't have worked for the class. Or maybe I'm still confused. Last year, I did two batch-produced cards (nothing we do here is really "mass"): a more elegant, complex one for family and a simple SU kit one for colleagues. This Christmas I plan to mix it up a bit. I'll use some of these really time-intensive class cards as one-offs for close family, I've chosen a CS formula for colleagues (not very time intensive, not a lot of room to right a long personal message -- perfect!), and I think I'll probably make a sheetload or two (also not too intensive, but more room to write a longer message inside) for other family and friends. That said, I also can't see doing the same two companies holiday classes a year from now. I'm still deciding on the February PF/PPP event and hoping C&9th's holiday one is more appealing next year. Maybe I'll also be ready to dive into another C&CD by the fall, but I doubt I'd do spring again.

I made a few cards with these products for my CARDtober challenges and I'm very pleased with them. And I can see using them to mass produce my Christmas cards.
The one thing I wish that all that beautiful holly leaves and berry branches would be on a single stamp-stencil-die instead in two different set. They are just so pretty and fun to use as little embellishments.

This is as far as I've gotten with class 5. Nothing is glued down because I can't make any decisions. I like these softer colors better than the dark bold ones from class but I'm just not satisfied. I'm giving myself until Wed night. If I can't come up with something, then in the class bag they go so I can move on to C&CD. One of these tries the white heat embossing in parts of the ornaments that Channin was doing the other was an oops where I was planning to heat emboss with clear powder but my stamp was not clean and it turned out light grey.

Thanks MichyM. I got my ink cubes but going to wait for a good sale for my reinkers. I wish they would give you the 15% off of the inks now, I would have gotten everything than.

I did go ahead with the reinkers and the cubes. I find that the lightest colors typically need to be juicier for me to be happy using them. I am totally bummed that I forgot to order the case. I don't want to pay separate shipping for it so I am SOL for now.

Or that background wouldn't have worked for the class. Or maybe I'm still confused. Oh, I didn't watch that class yet, but of course, we're in a PF event, so that makes sense lol. They just don't seem like they would be, to me. I put the inks on my Christmas list. I'm excited for all of you to get your orders, please let us know when you get them and share your thoughts!! Can I just say one critical-ish thing about PF? I dislike how they do their coupon for class attendees. Compared to all of the companies that give discounts during C&CD, PF just comes off seeming stingy with the code. - these are all dedicated PF fans who have signed up for the event, I think everyone deserves a longer time using a coupon code rather than a few days randomly before the event. I don't even use the coupon code because shipping to Canada is too expensive, but I feel bad for everyone in the class who misses their 2.5 hour window to use the code (I exaggerate, but that's what it feels like). And I'm not one to begrudge a company their policies and procedures and realize they have to make money, but come on, leave the code available for a little longer.
