Here’s a pic. Ready to start some foundation pages: Oooh, very cool and very full (in my tiny-stash eyes anyway)! I'd love flip and look at everything you've put together for your OD "kit'! 👀 Got any current favourites in there? (Not me being nosy. At all. 🐷) I will definitely be ordering one of those. All the pumpkin spice stuff is starting to appear at the grocery store. Today's the Starbucks fall menu launch day in the US! ☕🍂🥐 I'll need a review, joblackford . And a pic of all the pumpkin spice stuff at the grocery store (we don't have anything pumpkin spice here besides Starbucks) (also, no cider donuts which is one thing I'll absolutely have to try when I return to the US). I'm lowkey excited about the autumnal things hitting the stores here in September although it'll still feel nice and warm and sunny. Psychologically, it's an easier transition into the cold season that way.

Catherine Pooler's new paper pad, Scaredy Cat, is gorgeous and absolutely perfect for cat owners. That colour scheme! 😻

I'd love flip and look at everything you've put together for your OD "kit'! 👀 Got any current favourites in there? (Not me being nosy. At all. 🐷) This is everything I have. Last year was my first year and I didn't quite know my style for this. I had also not yet bought any Halloween supplies ever so I overbought. I got some things I have already gotten rid of as I know I won't use them (and they weren't archival scrapbook stuff anyway -- just random things). I'm really loving the FaBOOlous line from Simple Stories. There are some weird prints that I love. Especially this one: www.acherryontop.com/shop/product/614313I also bought the digitals for the amazing Crate Paper line. I want to print out something that shows all the pieces and put it with my Halloween supplies so I will use it. I just love it. But last year I also bought a bunch of ribbon from AX. Now I have a lot but I also used a lot last year so I don't feel bad. I just feel like it's a bit much right now. Psychologically, it's an easier transition into the cold season that way. This is exactly what I was thinking this morning when I was getting up. The weather is perfect right now. It's gorgeous outside. But the colder evenings make me mourn summer already. If I didn't have Fall, I would not be able to get through Winter. I just hate being cold. I hate having to scrape my car in the morning. I hate wet shoes. Those black cats on the moon! Oh my.

Sneaks of the Halloween kit are up!
There is a little tag thing that says, "If you got it, haunt it."
The pumpkins are adorable.
I'm probably going to get this again this year. I really loved last year's kit.

US Peas, Michaels already have their Halloween paper collections in stores. Witch's Lair looks so spookily dreamy! 🖤

I'm really loving the FaBOOlous line from Simple Stories. There are some weird prints that I love. Especially this one: That is a pretty line! I'd almost forgotten about it. It has a bit of a Halloween Pebbles vibe (oh, how I miss those collections). It's not in store in my nook of Europe yet so the wait continues... But I need some black crows and translucid ghosties! If I didn't have Fall, I would not be able to get through Winter. I just hate being cold. I hate having to scrape my car in the morning. I hate wet shoes. It's hard, isn't it? I used to think I just had a case of the "winter blues" until a few years ago when my general practioner flat-out said I suffered from SAD. I didn't realise I "qualified". The lack of light, the cold, that impression the seasonal harshness will never end. I'm grateful to live in a place where sandals + sundress season runs right into late September because I struggle once we get to December/January. Big time.

Ugh, I should not have looked at the Spooky Bundle from scrapbook.com. It's so cute! I told myself I really can't buy any halloween stuff because I haven't used any of my halloween stash for 2 years but I might have to break that. SB.com spooky bundle

I noticed that they have a lot more iced fall drinks, maybe because it’s still really hot everywhere right now. (and other reasons 🤑 I’m sure). I keep an eye out for pumpkin spice things when we go shopping this weekend. I think Target usually gathers all their PS stuff together next to the candy and Halloween things but last time I was there they were still focused on back to school. There were pumpkin spiced things I could never have imagined.

Has anyone used a 3x8 album for Ocober Daily? I bought the AE dark gray with stars album and think I'll use that. This will be my first OD. Any tips or cautions about that size album for a month long project?

Any tips or cautions about that size album for a month long project? My one tip is that it will get chunky with little to minimal embellishment so make sure those pages etc are as flat as possible! I used two for a dd and I love the end result but they filled up fast, and are technically overfilled now but they’ll do. Also I found scaling down the size of my photos helped, and that as the pages are very tall and skinny it’s important to make sure there are things that travel down the page to draw you eye to the bottom half of your spreads.

Any tips or cautions about that size album for a month long project? Not for OD, just for really short trips! The spines are so tiny, they fill up really quickly. It could be a tight squeeze if you are planning 31 entries. The stars album is a perfect match for Halloween though!

laylebymail.com/collections/frontpage/products/spooky-mini-book-project-kit?rs_oid_rd=1099511650752I think I’m going to order this mini book project kit for my October occasionally. I ordered a mini book project kit from her earlier this year and felt it was a good value since it included a 6x8 album and a 3 hour class and step by step instructions. The interactive folio album is very interesting. I love the idea of having a completed album ready to go before the month starts without having to come up with design ideas. I can just focus on the photos/stories. Was looking at her December Documented kit as well.

Any tips or cautions about that size album for a month long project? I did DD in one 2020. Since we weren't really leaving the house, I figured it would still be fine. Here's a link to it. It's very chunky. http://instagram.com/p/CH5ah1oA6Cu Another idea I got from Serena B is to not use a whole page for just one story. She'll often use a pocket page with 2 pockets to tell 2 mini stories. And you don't have to make two-page layouts for stories. Just contain each story to one page.

I don't think there'll be anything Halloweeny until mid-October when my local small supermarket usually puts up a little bit of décor over the check-out area. I'll go to Starbucks for some kind of PSL when our fall menu drops (should be in early September). And I'm still searching for a pumpkin patch-type place over here (there was one apparently but they no longer do it since last year, ugh). Give me some 'MURICAN Halloween vibes, France!

Not sure if we have any EuroPeas doing OD this year but just in case, Wilma dropped the first proper sneak of her new Halloween SB line called Witch. It looks adorable (as always with Wilma)! It's the two eyes in the bubbling cauldron for me.

They are also VERY into Edgar Allan Poe and The Raven in terms of themes this year. I didn't buy any of that, but there is a cool black cat free-standing shelf I have my eye on. If I had a dedicated scrappy space, I would use it for supplies. That's amazing. I'm loving the Michaels decor these days. I might get that shelf for my daughter for christmas. She loves cats and we have a black cat now (for 2 years!).

Oh I like that idea marie I’m really thinking I’m just going to go with her December Documented kit this year. Save myself some time and lots of money. Also avoid the AE release frenzy! I’m just not liking that Hickory album. Do you think I could alter it somehow?

Maybe a red or the new cranberry one.

Maybe a red or the new cranberry one. I bought the new cranberry one. It's gorgeous. Just remember that the Hickory album has the larger spine than the cranberry. I can measure one I have if you need me to.

I might. I was looking at the SS Holiday Life collection binder. I wonder why she didn’t choose that once since she’s using the line in the kit. It never says anywhere what the spine or ring measurements are tho.
