Did I miss the memo on Pink Fresh Studio? Are they not doing paper releases anymore? They released their Christmas line today and it looks like there's no paper, just stamps, dies, etc. I haven't paid attention to them in a while, so it's probably just that I'm hopelessly outdated on my PF news. Pinkfresh usually releases their scrapbook products separately from their stamping/Cardmaking products. Last year the holiday scrapbook release was after the stamp release. I am hoping they do another holiday line this year 🤞

Did I miss the memo on Pink Fresh Studio? Are they not doing paper releases anymore? I bought almost all of their summer travel line. Geralyn designed it and it's really good. But there's no Pinkfresh up for pre-order at ACOT. Maybe there is no line this year.

The cardmaking release is always separate from the scrapbooking one so that shouldn't panic you. However, they are late this year compared to 2022. They revealed Happy Holidays on July 22nd. It's a waiting game. I'm hoping they get to it in the next couple of weeks. If there's nothing by mid-September, it's not looking good. Hoping for a Christmas line from them as well. 🤞

Fingers crossed! 🤞 I am in danger if she has designed a holiday collection for them. I love the embellishments I bought from the travel line. It was what I was missing from buying her digital files. I got die cuts, chipboard stickers, puffy stickers, and cardstock stickers. My favorite are the journaling bits. These are 3-D like little envelopes and pockets, some tags with metal grommets. You really can't tell from the photos. Also, there weren't many repeated elements. It's not like with some companies where you get the same image 4 different times if you buy multiple items. I have backpacks in different colors but that's it (as far as I can tell).

I just found out this weekend that the long flag/banners in the journaling pocket set do not match the image on the back of the package. I lost many many minutes trying to find pieces that don’t actually exist while scrapping some Disney pages. 😂 ETA: NEVERmind!!! I just double checked to make sure I’m not nuts, and heads up! Those banners are * double sided *. 🤦🏻♀️

I emailed PinkFresh about their Christmas scrapbook line. It’s coming “at a later date.” That is not helpful at all. Emailed again asking for specific date.
This leads to my problem, what am I going to use. I usually always pick up Liz’s kit from AE and a bunch of embellishments. Sometimes I really fight to make Liz’s kit work with the rest of the AE stuff. I’m kind of tired of it, wanted something new for this year.
Crate isn’t releasing. Bah. Could use Crate from last year, I didn’t buy any of it.
Pinkfresh - some date in the future, not helpful.
No Felicity Jane.
Heidi Swapp has a kit from last year that looks pretty good. I believe she used mostly Crate papers vs designing everything herself. But with no Crate release this year what is this year’s going to look like? Also, she doesn’t release her kits until October. Too late.
There are 2 Spanish lines I quite like but not sure I have it in me to order overseas, plus sentiments are in a language we do not speak. Those 2 are from Lora Bailora and the Mujercitas line from The Pink Feather.
Paper should not be this difficult.

I am just not feeling any of the Christmas lines this year. I don't have a huge stash of paper or embellishments to use from prior years so I need to find something.
I went ahead and ordered the candy apple red album from CT. I used the green one last year.
It's probably a good thing nothing is screaming buy me from AE. I will be on vacation when it opens for purchasing. Usually not a problem but I will be hiking in Utah at 7:00am that morning.

I finally watched AE’s DD videos and none of the albums are speaking to me. I love the look of the plush ones on SB.com that someone mentioned above, even though I have cats. Lol All of my seasonal albums are stored in bins, until I bring them out, so I think a swipe of a lint roller will work, as needed. Looking at the green, not sure if it will match the 49&market Christmas line? But I use black for most other albums, and I like to use fun colors for DD to make them feel special.

I don't like that there are 2 classes this year. I know there were two last year but I didn't even register that stories of christmas past situation.
I can't afford to buy a ton of product AND a hybrid class AND a product play class.
I know there is content you get when you buy kits and that is really the appeal for a lot of people.
Last year I won the product play class and I really liked it. I decided if they would offer it again, I would get it.
But if you think about it, the main kit costs WAY WAY WAY more than a stories by the month kit. And when you get the monthly kit or even the scrapbook kit you get the educational component for free.
So now I'm going to drop around $60 on the main kit, about $40 for embellishments (if I'm lucky), and I need to pay for classes.
I'm not feeling this anymore.
I think if they want to charge for the classes, they should be significantly cheaper for people who buy the stuff.
That is all. I don't like to rant but I'm just feeling a bit of a sting.

Those 2 are from Lora Bailora and the Mujercitas line from The Pink Feather. Paper should not be this difficult. Frank Garcia’s online shop carries some Lora Bailora products and sometimes does preorders for collections (he did for her Perseidas line). I haven’t seen any sneaks yet for Lora Bailora’s holiday collection, will need to look for those 😊

But if you think about it, the main kit costs WAY WAY WAY more than a stories by the month kit. And when you get the monthly kit or even the scrapbook kit you get the educational component for free. Yes, but consider that she values the Story Kit classes at $10 each (that’s what they sell at when offered in the shop occasionally) and there’s around 5-6 projects in each. I think last year there were like 3 projects for thirty days in Product Play? Or maybe that was the year before? (An easy, moderate, and advanced idea for each product highlighted?) So, if you scale out her SK content it matches the PP pricing pretty well. I agree it’s a bummer to pay for something instead of getting it for free, lol. I’ve never paid for PP (nor won a spot), because I wince at the price point for it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I always really enjoy and appreciate Ali’s near-daily YouTube process videos. It’s amazing she puts those out like a champ every year.

I agree it’s a bummer to pay for something instead of getting it for free, lol. I didn't say that I wanted to get anything for free. I just don't want to pay $40 for two classes on top of everything else I'm going to spend in the shop. I spend more on AE products than any other craft supplies. It's just all getting to be a bit too much.

Thanks all for the Pink Fresh information. Crossing my fingers now for a Geralyn collection!
I'm totally in for Ali's Hybrid class and Prep Day, but probably not Product Play this year. I don't see me buying much (any?) physical product this year.
Also, the fonts on the Product Play promo - why can't these be the fonts in the product? Hoping to see some of those in the shop items. So much cuter than the main kit fonts.

I didn't say that I wanted to get anything for free. I just don't want to pay $40 for two classes on top of everything else I'm going to spend in the shop. To be honest I would find just about any way to justify scrapbook spending but I digress... I look at the classes in a couple different ways. First, the educational aspect-I feel Ali does a good job teaching and have always gotten a lot out of the class content. Second, the camaraderie-my life hasn't allowed for a lot of time with my scrapbooking friends lately. And let's face it, scrapbooking isn't as popular so this type of "event" is harder to find. I appreciate the togetherness/fellowship/camaraderie of the classes. Third, if I *did* spend an afternoon out with my friends, doing a scrapbook activity or not, I'm going to spend way more than the price of the class by the time I drive to wherever we're meeting, pay for the activity or shop, have lunch, etc. For *me* it's probably more economical to take the class! At least that's what I'm telling my DH.

janamke Thanks for reaching out to PF for us all. I'm super relieved there's a Christmas line. Fingers crossed Geralyn designed it. Happy Holidays was a bit meh although I did pick up a couple of papers. I wish they'd give us a sneak already. For those waiting on Lora Bailora: it probably won't be before October, just a heads-up. I just ordered the last SS Hickory album available from a French retailer. Keeping it classic + generic with that wood veneer print. I'm going to mix and match old + new this year, I think. Like most years, to be honest. The Sugarplum Wishes line looks cute with some of the embellies from the 2021 PF Holiday Magic collection, by the way. If you have leftovers, you should try them together.

Enabler alert: For those of you wanting SugarPlum Wishes, ACOT just added a 48-piece paper bundle to their site with the ugly sweater sequins for $17.99. That's bananas. 2 pieces of each sheet in the line. It's an amazing price and I don't know how they're doing it. www.acherryontop.com/shop/new/45/sort/release-date/618753

Typically Paige’s collections have 24 double sided designs, so 2 of each would be 48. This collection only has 12 double sided designs. So unless they are including 4 sheets of each design (which is not what the photo shows) then there would be 24 papers. If it really is 48 sheets, that is a killer deal, and great if folks want to split an order 👍

Thanks @sleepingbotty for posting pics from the main kit as I didn't have the patience to watch the live. I like some things such as the pockets, some of the papers and diecuts, some of the embellishments but am on the fence as to whether I order it or not. I do have a few things left from last years kits as well as some other things in my stash. I do like the s 6x8 albums though and will probably end up trying to get those. Interested to see what Liz's kit is like.

I did DD in 2021 and 2022. I will bot be doing a DD this year.
I feel it is a waste of my time because I include 90% of the same photos in dd's and ds' 9x12 albums. So I was scrapping photos 3 times and it became redundant and boring.
Only a few pages were not scrapped for dd and ds. Usually new ornaments, SB red cup, and any new decorations I added.
So I will just be making pages (pocket and 9x12 single) foe the kids albums.
I have bought a few AE items and was never impressed with the quality.
I also do not get a specific DD album. I got the red 6x8 from SB.com 2021 and mast year an older AE travel 6x8 that was green and I altered the inside with Christmas paper from CP.
I bought the Echo Park Happy Holidays line. I got the 12x12 pack and then added more papers and embellishments.
2021 and 2022 I used CP as well as making my own print outs. I liked the freedom of doing my own thing and not following what all the AE stans were doing lol.
I think I am going to pick up some more sheets. I really like it.

Sharing this video of an Advent calender-like LO (with my beloved PF Holiday Magic *swoon*) because it'd be so cute in a smaller format for DD as well and could be prepped well in advance for those who enjoy playing around with Christmas paper as soon as their new stuff is delivered. ETA: I don't know what it is it about these days. We're in the midst of a major heatwave so everything is super summery at the moment but I feel super excited about DD right now. I'm buzzing with ideas for simple interactive elements and stories. I can't wait to get my new Christmas paper in and to play around with a couple of prepped pages!

Is it just me or is the green ae 6x8 album this year SUPER yellow where it’s supposed to be white (I say supposed to be as the paper they showed in the main kit which matches was definitely green and white whereas this one looks… different…)

$5 is my max to spend on a class so I’ll be getting prep day. I also won the product play last year and while I enjoyed some presenters, many I did not. For me, it wouldn’t be worth paying for. I loved Ali’s free daily video though.

The greens were more yellowy than the paper, too. The paper read as a lot more green. I was started by the contrast, tbh.

I think I'm going to go with the Simple Stories Hickory album sleepingbooty's repeatedly mentioned.
Overall I'm going to do my own thing in the end. I've just placed an Elle's Studio order of the Christmas Carols Stamp, the December Memories Stamp, the Oh What Fun Cardstock Die Cuts, and the Christmas Red Foil Chipboard Numbers. I haven't settled on paper yet, but the stamps will work great to make my own Project Life cards.

I am good with the warmer green - it will look good on the shelf as a contrast to my JOY album last year . I may actually purchase the white and the green and keep adding to my Dec Daily albums...I have been working backwards and have 14 albums either done or WIP as I slowly work backwards and fill in gap years. I just looked at the Elle's Studio release. I like the red foil chipboard numbers, possibly some stickers and then looking at the perforated tag die cuts, but nothing else is really standing out for me. I am also surprisingly not super excited about the paisley press sneaks. A couple of people have mentioned Paper Person - I have bought a number of her Christmas releases and find that I use the puffy and cardstock stickers (from some years more than others), a few die cuts, but then struggle to use her journal cards and papers so I really need to pass on her stuff knowing my track record. ETA: They just posted a Shop sneak! Love it..... I am very ready to see the AE shop items being offered - feels like in prior years we would have seen more sneaks of letter stickers, tabs, tags, die cuts, etc. I want to start planning. I know I will get the main kit so ready to see everything else so I can be strategic. I have SOOOO much stuff already so wanting to know what she will be releasing so I can evaluate how it compares to my stash. ETA - also excited to see what PinkFresh releases and what colors they will use this year.

After not much soul searching and a desire to just figure this damn thing out, I bought the Elle's Studio bundle.
If I buy anything from AE, it will be the PP kit, but only if it bowls me over. I'll need an album at some point but I'll figure that out later.
