I bought the 2021 Paislee Press mini kit during the $10 kit sale. It arrived today and is SO nice. It came in a green zip envelope and seems to have more in it than the 2023 kit. It’s still listed on the site for $10 (original price $27.99)and is such a good deal. I bought this last year when it was on sale and I had a coupon and got it for around $16 and was happy with that but $10 is even better! I actually love pink with Christmas so it’s a good kit to me but even if you don’t care for pink it’s definitely worth $10 and you can avoid the pink - plenty of the cards you can flip to another side and not have pink.

Great news! Dollar Tree has its xmas wrap in. There is an incredible Nightmare Before Christmas paper. It's the most amazing I've ever seen. It's got a red background with line drawings of the characters and they are just white. There is a good Elf one and a Grinch one. Finally I bought one with lots of ornaments on it that reminds me of the AE ornaments from this year's kit. Run to Dollar Tree! Been waiting for these to come in!
Off to dollar tree I go

Has anyone watched Ali’s foundation page posts on her blog? I enjoy her videos and enthusiasm. I probably won’t copy any of them but I enjoy watching her create.

I watched the one of the trees she created. It was kind of sloppy, I was kind of surprised she didn’t let the paint dry from the silk screen. But I think she’s focusing on a lighter, less structured feel, so in that regard, I appreciate that she’s embracing messy.

She seems to be in a 'sweet spot' for herself with it --- doing things she truly enjoys. Much of it wont be anything I copy (too messy, haphazard for me!). I do wish she'd highlight others on her blog who are more clean + simple using the new DD release (maybe she will?).

I love that 2nd foundation page Ali shared with the trees. Makes me kind of wish I'd went ahead and bought those stamps but gods know I wouldn't actually need them and I can always take a blending brush to some paper and cut them out that way. Should be easy enough right? lol I may or may not be drinking wine out of a Hallmark Christmas mug this afternoon... safe to say I'm ready for Christmas crafting! AND I cleaned up my workspace which is really the majority of the battle lmao I bought a walking pad after being ~influenced~ from people on tiktok and lemme tell you, it's perfect for Hallmark movie watching this season. I've gotten through the first 3 films they insist on playing before Halloween even graces our presence and out of the first few I think Where Are You Christmas is the only one I'd rewatch. I loved the black and white into color motif they had going on.

Anyone seen any good DD storage idea videos? Edit to add: I found Linda's video on Ali's website and it's good. Are you referring to the plan, prep & play class? I’m not doing DD, but am loosely following along this thread to live vicariously through y’all and for ideas for scraping Christmas layouts. But I’m also looking for a way to store other projects. For example, I am working on 10-12 pages for one vacation event. I’ll be using a large collection kit from 49 & Market along with some items I’ve gathered from my stash and various dies, etc. I want a way to keep it organized & easy to access on my desk. I like the way ScrapbookingQuebec does her monthly kits, but am looking for other ideas and to refine it. Do you think the video you’re watching would be a good fit for this? My papers are up to 12 x 12, but otherwise I have to store the same types of goodies & photos as for DD.

I'm not ready to start the holiday movies yet but does this have anything to do with the song from the Grinch? I love that song. And her voice is just perfect for it (Taylor Momsen, not Faith Hill -- nothing against Faith Hill I just love the movie version).

I still can't do mixed media because I don't like messy...but I think that's kind of the point. She has mentioned that she has perfectionistic tendencies, and I think this is her way of embracing imperfection. It looks like magic at the end with all of the trees together.

I am disappointed by the sneak peak I saw earlier with Shannan Pages. I was hoping it would be digital stamps for the Christmas Vacation movie, but no, just one.

I did watch one Christmas movie already; Love Hard on Netflix. It will never replace While You Were Sleeping, but it's definitely number two on my favorite rom coms list.

Should be easy enough right? lol The FOMO was real when I first saw it, but I figure I can cut them on my Cricut out of some of those extra PP papers I have. I might even try a vellum one. I know it'll be difficult to get it to stand, but maybe with some of that thicker acetate on one side? Still tossing it around. I need to get past this week (Halloween and DD birthday) before I can really sit down with it all and even attempt a foundation page.

I’m with you, dawnnikol Tree pages seem to be popular every year. When the tree stamps, die cuts, etc are introduced I always pass them up then have FOMO when I see what’s being made with them.

Did anyone order the digital product play December Daily bundle? I'm trying to figure out what is in it, but there is zero description...so annoying to guess.
I did start a conversation, but what the heck.

And her voice is just perfect for it (Taylor Momsen, not Faith Hill -- nothing against Faith Hill I just love the movie version). Kinda! lol Possible somewhat spoilers ahead, but the female main character's overwhelmed with the holidays and makes a wish that Christmas didn't exist and she wakes up with the color drained in a world where.. Christmas doesn't exist lol. She spends the movie trying to get people to remember the holiday and color comes back to their world as each person remembers. A cover (I think?) of the song plays at the end of the film so hey they spent $$ for the rights at least for a few moments I'm intrigued. I've never heard of this. Could you post a link? Yeah! This is the one I purchased, it's an Amazon link and I know they don't always work here so it's the "DeerRun Walking Pad Treadmill Under Desk, 2 in 1 Walking Pad Portable Treadmill with 265lbs Capacity, Under Desk Treadmill for Home/Office in LED with Wheels". I bought the black one on sale for $145. There are tons of other companies and styles if you just search up walking treadmill or walking pad, too. This specific model has wheels so it can be pushed and put away when not in use. It's basically a treadmill without the handles, and this specific one only goes up to I think 3.8 mph but that's more than enough for me when I'm just watching tv or at my computer.

Is it noisy? We do have a treadmill, but you have to crank the volume up on the TV.

I looked forward to them every week. My favorite tip that I took away was, taking the sticker, and embellishment sheets, out of their plastic packaging, and stapling them to a sturdier backing (either what came in the original packaging, or something else you have on hand). This makes them nice and easy to flip through in your organizer, and quick, and easy, to access what you need. I also loved all of her cute and festive storage bowls and containers that she says she picked up on after Christmas sales. Not necessary by any means, but a cute little touch. I might keep an eye out this year after the holidays, and see if I can find anything fun to use.

Is anyone else gearing up for product play tomorrow? I’ve always done prep day and this is the first year that I’m incorporating 30 days of ideas in to what I’m planning for my DD. I’m excited.

I did both classes last year. I found that even if I didn’t purchase the products that they were using in product play, I could easily take the idea and adapt it. I really enjoyed the class and can’t wait for tomorrow.

I'm excited! Last year was my first Product Play and I really enjoyed it. I won the class but I didn't think the cost this year was bad so I signed up for that, the hybrid and the Prep Day. I've done prep day for a couple of years now. I love it. I have done more of the hybrid and it's still not my jam so I won't do it again.

I wasn't going to get the Product Play class because I tend to keep my projects fairly simple and I don't have all that much going on in December, but the sneaks on Instagram are getting to me. I would need to translate many of the projects into a hybrid format, though.
I also got the Paislee Press 2021 kit during the $10 sale, so I definitely have more than I can use this year! I have everything contained in a 13X13 inch bin, so at least it's all together.
