Merry Christmas to all of you Aussies and Kiwis! Weird to think that just a month ago my son was at ANU in Canberra, 16 hours ahead of me here in Ontario. I am so thankful to have him home with me this Christmas, even if only for a little while. Can't wait to scrap my Christmas photos!

Merry Christmas, Peas!
I was touch and go whether I was going to do a DD this year since it's been a terrible month for me, but we had an awesome Christmas morning today (one of DS's favorites) so I'm going to do it! Short on photos, but I'll do 25 stories vs 25 days style this year and it should be fine.
My wins this December: -Lots more photos of me! I realized I only had 3 or 4 photos of me last December, and I vowed to change that this year and did! -Decorated late, but love what I did. -Spending 2 days before Christmas chilling as much as possible rather than running around was great for our moods today. Made up for all the things that didn't get done. -Didn't do many of our traditions this year, and didn't visit with any family due to work schedules. But DS had so much fun with friends that he shared those photos with me, so they're going in the DD.
Hoping everyone had a very merry weekend! I will need to catch up with the rest of this thread later in the week once I start working on DD2023!

Merry Christmas peas, and happy Boxing Day to those of you who celebrate!
We had an unexpected twist to our Christmas, DH had family who were coming down from Sydney who tested positive for Covid just before they arrived. My Dad is still high risk due to his recent cancer treatments, so we ended up splitting our Christmas into two; I still cooked for everyone but DH dropped off their meals and gifts, then came home where we celebrated Christmas with the other half of the family. It will make for an interesting story in this year's album if nothing else.
I hope your day was slightly less eventful!

Merry Christmas to everyone.
Oh, so many stories this year. DH sick since the 20th. Clogged toilet, toilet water supply line broke, water everywhere, turkey did not thaw in the fridge, at all. For 10lbs 48+ hours should have been plenty. Thank goodness our sons were here, they have been awesome.

I hope you have some things to laugh about later. And that your luck turns soon!

Last night my (adult) girls climbed on my bed to talk after all the festivities of our day. I showed them my dd from last year which they’d never seen and it was the first year I’d done it. They loved it and we had fun remembering last December. As they were flipping through and reading the stories and oohing and ahhing over it I was like THIS is why I’m doing it (besides all the fun I have making it). Yes. This is it.

I am going to work on Story 25 tomorrow. It will be a front and back story. Just trying to decide what photos I want to use and what I want to talk about.

How is everyone doing on their DD albums?
Dd is getting her weekly infusion right now, then I am going to get cleaned up and work on the last story.

Nice job pantsonfireToday I completed day 18. I’m currently working on day 19. I’m really tired of not completing projects so I hope to have a little momentum this week to get close to finishing. I’m also have one page for 2022 to complete. I have all my stories picked out and am working on typing them up. That’s usually the longest part for me that makes me procrastinate. I just finished my work for the day so I may try to complete 2 more pages today.

Pffft, I have only ne day finished. December brought a few unpleasant surprises, health related, but we are on the mend now, or so I hope. Many events had to be cancelled and I was not able to get anything done. It’s ok, I will start next week or so.

I faked story 23. Photos are taken. Page is prepped.
Working on story 24 now which is a pocket that I stitched after copying from Paige Evans. I'm going to fill it with tags/tag clusters of random photos I took throughout the month. Nothing really story worthy in itself but I didn't take photos on the 24th so this is the plan.

How is everyone doing on their DD albums? I have nine random days completed which is more than I thought I'd have. My plan for today is to get all the photos onto my computer and work out what I want to print so I can start laying out the rest of the album.

I worked on a page yesterday and a couple today repurposing a couple of foundation pages which was nice. I was a little worried I was just going to not want to pick it up again but I have and hope to continue working on pages for the next couple of weeks. I have some neat stories to tell if I can get the time and in the right head space to document. Thankful for both the project and this fun group to share in.

I just completed day 20. I did a very simple shove stuff in pockets design. I’m struggling with wanting fancier pages but not actually wanting to do fancier pages. I think I’m about done with the project. I decided to put it aside for the rest of today and will just work on writing the remainder of my stories while I drink a beer and watch trash on tv.

I'm done thru Day 16 and am only going to 25. I have not gone overboard with photos this year (except for opening presents at home) so it's been a little weirder than years past--it's almost both harder and easier. I am going to have so much leftover product...again...and I only got the main AE kit and a couple of add-ons.

I totally forgot about stories 19 and 20. Working on those now and then will get to 25. Still not sure how I want to document Christmas.

I am determined to make a page using the colorful cellophane I bought. Working on that freehand instead of my Cricut is stalling progress but hopefully can get tree shapes cut with the cellophane sandwiched in the middle. I only have 6 stories completed but one of those is a 5 day work trip. I’m counting that halfway, just so I don’t get discouraged.

I got a nice chunk of time to play around yesterday and completed up to day 16. I've been using 49th & Market rubons to add some extra oomph and boy they are nice! I'm pretty sure I'm only going to day 25 so I'm getting close. I've got the itch to clean up Christmas stuff already and that includes my desk so I can work on my PL for 2023.

Hoping to finish the last 3 stories today. Ready to put my Christmas Iris containers away and get to work on my kids 2023 pocket albums. Getting n tired of the reds and greens and golds and Santas.

I am on Day 14. Last year, I used my Canon Selphy to print my pictures. This year, I'm using Persnickety Prints because I wanted higher quality prints along with the option of using 6X8 full-size photos. Not having the pictures makes everything go a little slower since I am using sticky notes for where the photos are supposed to go.

And guess who ran out of paper with 1/2 of day 25 and the one photo I'm using for the 23rd?
