joyfulnana. I want to attempt finishing all the sketches but time isn’t on my side! All of the school things are starting up, I homeschool 3 of my kids, 2 go to public school plus I teach at our co-op. Lately I’ve felt more like an uber driver because of all the running around with the kids activities. The one exciting thing is I’m teaching a scrapbooking class at the co-op to some teens so I’ll get to scrap then at least! Just no sketches since I already pre planned what I’d teach/lead them to do

boymom5 I can't imagine how you do it all with 5 kiddos. That's exciting that you are teaching a class! I hope it goes super well for you! I thought having my own electronic cutter was going to be the thing I needed, but man it feels like a pain when I'm right in the middle of scrapping and decide I want a shape, I definitely don't use it as much as I told myself I would lol. I've been thinking about ways I can batch things using the cricut, and cut them at all at once. But that would require being organized and that is not me. I scrap by the seat of my pants on the fly lol.

Good Tuesday morning, Glue CREW! How ya doin'? I am just checking in before heading away from home for a couple of days. Have my scrappy to-go bag packed. Driving to a WalMart today, so I can print photos! Then stopping at the LSS where they have promised me some table space to play with paper. Then supper and a movie with friends. Back to my dd's where I will spend the night, send dgs off to school, and then spend the day at her home where I will again--play with paper. Hosting a Pea on-line crop Wednesday morning. Hope some of you can join me--DOUBLE POINTS for each hour you craft with friends!

Happy Tuesday team! grammadee I WISH I could do midday crops. I think I would get more done. Enjoy your time away! I'll be cropping tonight with my niece for a couple of hours. I don't seem to get much done lol. But I am staying caught up on 2023 with the PL app. I need to play with paper

I’m happy with it but used to use it daily whereas now maybe once a month. I do like it but just not needed as much. But that was also during the days of putting together those pierced pieces and making a lot of my own embellishments and titles. Now not so much so I think that’s why I’ve gotten lazy.

Anyone been shopping?
I’ve gone a bit overboard the past few months and will be on a semi freeze. I grabbed a bunch of stuff from the expo, made an order for a few 6x8 albums I want to make and DD things. Then I subbed to Hip Kit Club again, grabbed some of the new simple stories things I liked and to finalize this month I got one of Allison Davis’ kits that were left over from we create. I need to slow down and start crafting more!

Finally got my Summer pic's printed, so I have been a happy scrapper! Got a bunch of pages done this past week and a list of about half a dozen titles for more LO's with these pic's. I ordered a stamp/die set of polar bears for Christmas cards. And pre ordered a couple of die sets from my LSS, again for Christmas cards. Then ordered a campfire die from Amazon last week for a LO I put together this past Tuesday. But so far not too over the top. I was in the LSS for a few hours on Tuesday scrapping and picked up only a couple of sheets of cs and some pp I needed for the projects I was working on. Then stopped at Michaels to pick up a couple of packs of thickers.

I bought a few things from my online lss that is closing down, page protectors and albums were the biggest expense but I added a few things as well. Other than that I've been pretty good, I certainly have enough in my stash to work with.

Almost the end of September... Where did it go? Made myself add points today. I hate when that gets away on me and it becomes a big chore. What are you up to this week? I am still harvesting garden. The potatoes are out, but I am now digging and prepping carrots for their winter in my fridge. Next will be beets and turnips. But in the few minutes I have today I am playing with my Glimmer System, foiling some pieces for your sketch from last week, joyfulnana. Something about fall pages makes me want to bring out the sparkle and shine.

I can't believe how quickly the month has gone by. I've been sick for the last few days with an over-enthusiastic cold that just will not settle down or go away. Unfortunately that has meant no energy to do anything other than lie on the couch. I'm hoping Oct will be better for me.

This is exactly where I am - sick with a cold that will not go away, and seems to be only moderately better. I have no energy for anything, except getting through the work day. I can't believe October is upon us! September went so fast, I feel like I missed it!

Happy Tuesday! I'm finally really looking at this Q's challenges, and I wish I had had the foresight to add finishing up Sketchtember sketches. My mojo is coming back, and I'm finally ready to go on them lol.
I've also got so many pages partly done, or waiting to be started, that I've started my own version of Shimelle's Clear the Desk and am working through the piles all around me in my space lol. 2 down from over the weekend, and I have at least three more to go lol.
How's everyone doing? I should look through my Christmas stash too. I am finally after 2 or 3 years ready to shop for Christmas supplies again. Besides the VB kit I got from peachycheap lol.

Hello, Crew! hope you are having a good week and looking forward to a great weekend. It is a holiday weekend here--Canadian Thanksgiving. Not alot of crafting for me in the next few days, unless you include baking and cooking. Ds & family plan to drive up, so I am hoping to be taking lots of photos of the boys having fun. I have a plan for them to do some artwork on pumpkins with markers, but that is the only craft related plan I have. The weather has been chilly, but they promise us sunshine and warmer temps over the weekend, so also hoping to get some shots of the boys out in the leaves. I like your Clear the Desk challenge idea, joyfulnana. You still have time to finish those projects and claim SKETCHtember points until Sunday. Yesterday I was able to put together a bunch of pages b/c I was working with only two themes/sets of supplies. And I had put together some loose kits using the sketches & twists as my guides. I have already cleaned this room, messed it up, then cleaned it again this week--and it is only Thursday LOL. Not sure if I am ready to open that Christmas corner cabinet yet, though. Still have a couple of packs of summer pic's I want to scrap, and I will want to scrap the fall photos I hope to take this weekend. When Christmas/winter comes out to play, there will be no hope of getting the room under control again until February or March... Will need to start Christmas cards soon, though. And I have some birthday and anniversary cards to put together this month. Anyone playing along with CARDtober? Hoping to get to that whenthe dust settles after this weekend...

Happy Friday! So glad this week is nearly over lol. Anyone have scrappy plans for the weekend? I'll probably be cropping most of Sunday with football on in the background. Sports are the perfect thing to scrap to for me. I don't have to pay close attention lol.
I have been on a shopping tear the past 4-6 weeks. I do this every year around this time, then I'm ready to freeze and never shop the black friday sales lol.
I hope everyone is doing well and has a good weekend!

No weekend scrappy plans for me. Dgs has a couple of hockey games, one each day. Tuesday I plan to print my Thanksgiving weekend photos, and hope to spend a couple of hours scrapping at the LSS. Then Wednesday I will be a dd's with the dogs while she is away at a meeting, so planning to set up an on line crop during the morning.

I’ve been slowly working through some pages here and there when I get breaks. I’m hoping to complete my 2019-2020 school book for the kids by the end of the year. Im also working on our current years album (in March) and my youngest DSs Kindergarten 6x8 album. I switch between them as I feel the mood! Making progress! I just got my new hip kit today so I’m hoping to dig into it this weekend or finish up last months kit.
What is the supply you desperately need to organize?
I need to figure out all my embellishments since I know I have things but can’t find them.

What is the supply you desperately need to organize? I need to figure out all my embellishments since I know I have things but can’t find them. My craftroom is in a perpetual state of mess and confusion, so my answer should be EVERYTHING. The problem is that when I DO reorganize some or all of my stash I still can't find what I want. My organizing brain that wants everything in its "place" thinks differently than my crafting brain that wants everything at my fingertips. That being said, if you are working on different age groups/themes, I would suggest organizing that way. Put together Iris cases that contain the papers and extras you hope to work with next on each project. So when you have a few minutes you just need to pull out that one case. I also have a "sticker stadium" I bought years ago, and I use it for larger projects. It has large slots at the back for 12x12 pp (I also put in a couple of heavy paper pad backing pieces to keep them vertical and not floppy), and also some divided slots that work well for diecut collections or other embellishments, dies & stamps & stencils, even sets of diecuts I pre make for the project. I also print out sketches and ideas for pages/cards/projects and put those into the kits. Not sure if this will happen today before justjac comes here to make cards with me, but definitely before the 3-day crop early November, but I plan to get my sticker stadium all set up for Christmas cards: papers, stickers, diecuts, stamps, stencils, all things Christmas...

What is the supply you desperately need to organize? I could say everything as well, but I haven't found a way to organize piles yet lol. I end up with so many piles, things I pull out because "oh yeah! I should do that page I bought this - fill in the blank- for" lol. But my die cuts need some sort of organization. Or a purge. I haven't done much scrapping this week. I'm not sure where the week went. The days are just running together in a blur the past couple weeks. I probably said that upthread somewhere, because it feels this way all the time lately lol.

Yahoo! Spent the past two days when I had some free time and organized/decluttered most of my scrap space. I only; have one small bin that still needs to be gone through and put away. But my whole area is so much cleaner and I think the organization I did will help quite a bit. Only negative is that my youngest starting going through the garbage and asking why I was throwing away so many good things. So he now has all I threw away in his little craft bin. I get to throw it all away again in the near future it seems. On the positive, I learned he wants more circles in his scrapbooks.

boymom5 Oh how funny! And adorable. That's awesome that he looks at his books, and often enough to know what he wants more of. Hurray for organizing and decluttering! I really need to do that myself. It can really revitalize me when my space is tidy. Especially when I'm not feeling it when I'm in my space.

Hello everyone. I've been dipping in and out of the boards this last month, my cold that wouldn't go away turned out to be an infection so this looks like the first weekend I'll have had in over a month where I won't end up napping. Consequently, I've had no mojo and have decided I'm just going to give myself a guilt free pass until Dec. I signed up for one of the Christmas card swaps and I'm hoping my mojo reappears so I can make some cards for that but if not I'll just mail store bought ones. What is the supply you desperately need to organize? For me it's the new things I've bought. My online lss closed down a couple of weeks ago so I placed a couple of orders with her and now have a precarious pile of new stuff on my desk. My paper doesn't quite all fit in my storage so I really need to use some or work out another solution. I hate having my paper in too many places though because I'm likely to only look in one place and never get to use all the other pretties I've bought.

I just wanted to say, good morning and I promise you, this team member is not planning to end the quarter with zero points! LOL! Our fiscal year ends Sept 30, so my September and October are ridiculous at work. Add in all the fun stuff I planned for October weekends this year and a baby blanket I needed to finish and all of September and October were gone for me. But I knew they would be.
But alas, it is November and I have absolutely no plans except a quick trip to a pottery show and sale the weekend after next (which I should only be there an hour or two) and then Thanksgiving Turkey Trot and dinner. So basically, I have every weekend this month to get caught up on my scrapbooks and I'm thrilled about that. I kept up with journaling this October and I've got like 4 days worth of October Daily journaling to type up today and then I'll be ready to print. That's what I plan on working on this weekend. I'll just get the decorations down so I can spread out on my dining room table and get to it. I'm not expecting any company this month, either, so I can leave all my stuff on the table.
I'm also interested in weekend online crops if you guys are having any. I'd love to be able to check in with all of you and do some chatting while we scrap.
So, basically, I just wanted to say that I'm excited to finally get to play with paper. I knew I most likely wouldn't be able to until November. But now it's slow season at work, so I am ready to get cracking on my scrapbooking.

Good Morning team! Happy November, and how in the world is it already November?! Chinagirl828 I've had long lingering cold as well, I hope you are feeling better soon. Totally agree with giving yourself a pass. I am sending store bought cards too. Good luck getting your new pretties organized and back to crafting. jeremysgirl, you definitely didn't earn zero points if you have been working on a blanket, all crafting counts. Yay for mojo! Mine has finally started peeking out and man that feels good lol. kitbop and I are going to try organizing Friday night crops - starting at 7 EST. I'll be opening one up this Friday. And we start some here and there on the weekends, I'll tag you when we start one. I love chatting with the peas, and you all are welcome to join! I have done so much shopping the last 2 months, trying to buy some creativity and mojo, and now I'm at critical mass with my stash. So I definitely need to hit the brakes on that and start using some of this up. I have been resisting the siren call of 49 and Market so far and finally caved and bought nearly the entire line of Spectrum Gardenia. Wow those die cut packs have a LOT of pieces! I've been looking at my paper storage as well. But my space probably needs a reorg, so that more things are closer to hand, so I don't forget about them. Too bad we don't have a spending challenge this quarter, I would definitely have some points in Sept and Oct for that lol. grammadee I believe you are on that bench as well aren't you? lol. A question for you all - are you happy with your craft space/workflow, or are there things that you would like to tweak or rearrange to make it work better for you? For me, as I said above, things are not in arms reach, so I tend to forget to look for and use things. My embellishments are the worst offenders. I forget to dig through all the little bits and bobs I have, puffy hearts, starts, etc. PL cards are another.

I should be able to be there Friday night as long as I get my Halloween decorations down. Need to get the table cleared off. A question for you all - are you happy with your craft space/workflow, or are there things that you would like to tweak or rearrange to make it work better for you? I am not happy with my craft space and I'm unsure what to do about it. I have one office/craft room. There is a desk and right now, it has all my work from home stuff on it so it's practically unusable for crafting. I have a long table in there with my printer, radio, and some stand up organizers for scrapbook stuff. They I have cubes attached to the wall with yarn. And I have a chair that I like to sit in and crochet. And another shelf with storage bins containing in progress crochet projects and quilt fabrics. Then I have Esther's room. In there I have her desk and it is set up with my sewing machine. I also have two rolling carts full of scrapbook stuff and a dresser that has drawers stacked with Iris cases full of scrapbook stuff that I swear I never look at. I also have an elliptical machine in there. When I actually want to scrapbook, I move everything out to the dining room table which is kind of a pain. But these rooms are so small and so packed that I'm not quite sure how to set everything up. All three of my crafts are spread out among the three rooms and nothing is contained together. It's driving me insane. I am interviewing for a full time in office job, so that might solve the desk set up in my office. If I go back to an office full time, there will be no need to have a set up at home.

Happy November! We have snow on the ground so easier to believe that the seasons are changing. A question for you all - are you happy with your craft space/workflow, or are there things that you would like to tweak or rearrange to make it work better for you? I have a smaller L-shaped space which works really well for me most of the time. My computer desk with chair is in the corner and shelves with albums at the end. The two sides of the widest leg have standing height counters, and most of my supplies are housed above and under those counters. Just around the corner are my tools for diecutting and foiling. So everything is literally just a step or two away--and I am standing up anyway so easy to take that step. The problem is that I don't put stuff away when I finish a page or a project, and after awhile the mountain of stuff on all sides of my work space make it difficult to a)find what I need and b) have room to use it. I try to work on only one theme at a time so at least all the flotsam is related to what I am doing...

I'm not thrilled with my set up, but it's still the best one I've had yet. For a long time I tried to combine my WFH office with my craft space and I hated being in my space after 40 hours of work in that room. I tried moving it all to the dining room which drove me insane with all of that stuff always all over the table, so that had to stop. I ended up switching work/crafting to the larger master bedroom and used all of the Michaels cubes I have as a room divider. a g So now my space is like a galley kitchen, narrow, and things on both sides. Most things, I can turn around behind me and reach, but my paper is still a few steps away and that bugs me some. Having everything in a much larger room ha s helped to keep work and fun separate. I really don't like the cubes and would rather use a Kallax, but that is probably more FOMO at seeing others craft rooms, what I have works fine lol. I also refuse to buy new storage lol. I would like to find a place for my sewing machine, but there just isn't room for that. Your room sounds so awesome grammadee, I have that same problem of piles of things, which does drive me a little crazy. But there is something about this hobby that creates piles lol.
