We had this conversation at lunch the other day. One of my fellow teachers ate the same Chick-fil-A cookie for three days. She is not weight or health conscious. It is just the amount she could eat.
I have never in my entire life been a “I will eat one Twix bar and save the other for later kind of gal.”
A huge Crumbl coookie… sure. Half a Snickers? No way.
How about you?

Don't be ridiculous I've no idea how big a CFA cookie is but it sounds unlikely

Unfortunately I’m the type that could eat a sleeve of cookies in one sitting if I don’t consciously set a limit.

my dh can eat 2-3 Reeses pieces and be done. I am NOT that person and can very much relate to hop2 and a sleeve of cookies

Oh, hell no. In my book, a box of thin mints has two servings.

Um, no. Now a giant cookie? I might eat half and save the rest. For a couple hours later.

Don't be ridiculous I've no idea how big a CFA cookie is but it sounds unlikely I would guess about 2.5 inches or 6 cm. Pretty standard sized. I do think that CFA chocolate chip cookies are on the sweet side, but I’ve never let that stop me. As DS would say, “ Well, there’s your problem.”

Uh, that would be no! A friend of mine always eats 1 Reese’s cup and saves & sets the other one later or the next day. I never understood that

. . That would be no. I'm better off eating no cookie than trying to eat just half of one. haha

CFA cookies are big - maybe 4 inches across. And thick. I could make one last for two desserts, but they might both be in the same day.

Yesterday, my intention was to eat one twix, and have the other today. I ate the other one about 3 minutes later, lol.

My answer is... It depends. So often I find certain desserts to be truly meh. I have no desire to eat what I call "American chocolate" so I might take a bite of a Snickers but otherwise, yuck. Same with purchased baked goods. So for me, I might indeed eat half and most likely if it isn't tasty enough to finish right then, then it isn't tasty enough to finish at all

A CFA cookie, yes I will eat half and save the rest. I also only eat one Reese’s peanut butter cup, 2 Thin Mints is my limit and a little bag of M&M’s can last for days. I’m just not a big sweets eater.

I bought Dh a bag of Baby Ruth candy bars which sat unopened in the fridge drawer for at least 6 weeks. I would have eaten them in 48 hours…. If it is sweet/junk food and in the house it calls to me until it’s gone. He couldn’t care less about that kind of stuff. And no way would I only eat half a cookie!

Pre-gluten intolerance, yes.
A Chick-FIL-A cookie is one we would always share. The cinnamon rolls would be something we shared, too. I would by 2 and split them in half for the four of us. The Boy and I share candy bars.

Those chik-fila-a cookies are pretty big and chunky. I could see not eating it all at once.

It depends on the cookie. I am not big on the majority of store bought pastries or cookies. I don’t like cake except for homemade carrot cake. Now give me a homemade cookie, especially one from my mother’s recipes, and I have very little self control.

Exactly the same example, just different candy bar. In college, I had an apartment with a strange layout where you had to walk through one bedroom to get to the next bedroom. I was sharing an apartment with my best friend from high school. It used to drive her crazy when she would walk through my room to get to hers and see a half eaten candy bar on my dresser. She always teased me about how I could live on one candy bar if a disaster struck. My candy bar of choice was a Snickers and I just couldn't seem to eat a whole one at one time. Fast forward 30 years, and I still usually only eat half of a candy bar or a granola bar.

Well I’ve never had a chick fila cookie and now of course I need to see how long I could make one last…..and yet it’s Sunday dammit!
My guess is no, I could not make one last multiple meals. But now we’ll never know 😩

I would probably eat just a bite or two. But I’m not a sweets person. Potatoe chips are a different story…or a baguette with butter. Yum.

It would depend on the size of it but I'm pretty sure I couldn't make one last for three days.
I'm going to be labelled a freak here but the thought of saving something that I've had to bite ie a Snickers makes me feel icky. It has saliva on it and even though it's my own I'm just

Right now, yes. Eight weeks ago I would have eaten half a dozen or more!
I started a weight loss program called Wondr. It’s a paid benefit through my employer. One of the first things I did was a “sugar reset” which eliminated added sugar from my diet completely. It’s been very helpful in controlling cravings. I had an ice cream last Monday and occasionally eat a small piece of 70% dark chocolate.

No way. Sugar is a major "if I eat one, I will eat 20" thing for me. My brother in law can just snap a piece of chocolate off of a chocolate bar and be satisfied. Like, what's that about? How can that be normal? It drives my sister insane.

I am a bit of a sugar addict. I can pass by a cookie with no problem but if I eat one I will eat the whole sleeve.

In the past..... no.
I am now. For two reasons. Portion control, because of needing to watch my sugar intake, because of borderline sugar levels. Portion control, because of menopause weight gain and weight fluctuation.
Limits and moderation is required. A small bite or taste of something, is better than none at all.

There is no way I can eat just half of a cookie or candy bar. The CFA cookie would be gone by the time I got home...and I live only 1.5 blocks from CFA! Major sweet tooth here. Now DD would be able to let the cookie sit untouched for a week on her counter. Not sure where her DNA came from for that because it wasn't from either of her parents!
