That's what walkthroughs are for when you get stuck. HAHA! My dh loves to make fun of me when I need a cheat. Funny story, I love playing the Resident Evil games, even though they scare the bejesus out of me. I will give myself nightmares, truly, so I have to play only during the daytime. I used to purchase the walkthrough magazines, but now, obviously videos are all out there. I was playing my most recent one about 5 months ago and it's a creepy doll house and you're being chased. I watched the walkthrough multiple times to make sure I would be okay... the whole family was watching and I accidentally mistook a turn and that thing was ON ME!! I screamed so loud and then my 3 kids screamed on top of my scream! We died laughing as we watched my corpse, but whew! We still laugh about it. After I beat the game, I haven't brought another one in the house... maybe since winter is coming.. /cackle dawnnikol, I'm not a mickey mouse fan, but the game is really fun. It's challenging and interesting. As a Disney fan, I'm not sure this wasn't on my radar, other than just being so freaking busy lately... thanks for bringing it to my attention though. I've been struggling with a Christmas list and this could be a good find during Black Friday. ^.^

I haven't been to DDLV in a while. I've been busy w/Epic Mickey Rebrushed. Fun game. I still haven’t bought Rebrushed yet but I’m going to. I played through the entire original version and LOVED it.

dawnnikol , I'm not a mickey mouse fan, but the game is really fun. It's challenging and interesting. I've watched the walkthrough- I'm also a big fan of those, but there is technical jumping and enemy killing at the same time and I am not skilled enough to do all at the same time It’s at those points that I hand off the controller to my kid and make her do it for me, LOL.

I was supposed to play more Mickey Epic this weekend but I haven't. I'm at the river boat ride and I've gotten the red chest but I can't seem to get out of the spot I'm in. And I agree, the walk throughs are a must for me! Maybe I'll play later. I've got a new cookbook and I'm torn between kicking back with that or playing.
Dreamlight Valley has been boring to me. I don't know why? I have several quests outstanding but don't feel like doing them. Don't have Timon and Pumba yet. I've just been in a funk.
What are thoughts on the new Star Path? Frankly, to me, it's somewhat lame. There are a couple of things that seem really cool but I'm debating the premium pay out. I've been doing really well with my Dreamsnaps but the one being voted on now is really weak for me. The new DS for next week, I just have no idea how to style that.

Y'all!! I just have to tell someone who will understand. I did the critter companion Dreamsnaps last week. I have decided to start having fun and just really placing stuff out that "fits". I just checked and I got 4000!! moonstones. Never never have I gotten so many. I thought I was really doing good at 1200. Last week's rewards was 600. So this leap was absolutely bonkers. I did not do a submission for this voting round as I just forgot my days. Maybe this will help push me into buying the premium star path. I am still not bowled over with the rewards of this star path. And don't forget the Halloween event has started. Get your candy buckets!

I was playing Hogwarts Legacy and finished that, for the most part. Now I'm playing Epic Mickey refurbished. Really fun game, folks. Though I should pop back into DDLV and see what's new. I got bored. W/ACNH there was so much to decorate and it was fun. I loved creating an entire town.
naby64, if you play Epic Mickey a bit then we can yak about it while thinking about dinner. I'm so happy to see you on the other thread. A playmate and dinner companion.

I handed it over to ODS a couple of weeks ago for him to get through and try something. That dang gamer just blew through stuff like I have never been able to do. I guess it helps that is all he does with his downtime. I have to do stuffs when I get home from work. Usually. As far as decorating, it can be done in DDLV but to me, it just seems like so much more work than AC was.

I’ve been really into DDLV since the summer update. They fixed so many bugs and made decorating much easier (paths specifically), I’m really enjoying it! Working on the latest Star path, some of the items are fun, but I was really hoping for something Halloween themed. Have you seen the latest? Nothing confirmed yet, but it looks like either another biome or another DLC! www.instagram.com/reel/DBg2szjCc8w/?igsh=MXJqaGRodXE5OXNtOQ==

I'm a bit behind on this star path. I haven't had the urge to play lol. I'm chipping away at it though! I had half the halloween things done from last year, so I'll see how much I can finish this year. Good for you naby64 on the 4000!! I got 1200 this week, way more than my usual 600. I find I go to the furniture or wardrobe section and I have a category at the top that is for Dreamsnaps - so I take a bunch from there and do my photo. I figure it's free moonstones, so why not? I hoard them - I still have about 20,000 after purchasing the last star path premium option. I'm a bit stingy with what I'll buy in the shop lol. I did just get the main street confectionary - I need to move things around in my theme park area to add it!

So the new expansion comes out this week. Should be fun. I’m looking forward to new quests.
I have spent a bunch of time decorating the valley, it’s so addicting to me.

So I was just going to post about the expansion and find out if anyone is excited or meh on it. AND IF you are expanding, which one will you be buying? I am thinking I will go all in with the $50 Enchanted edition. I've got to look at my fun funds to see how I am doing. The Star Path...groan. This one is not pulling me in. I didn't really like most of the rewards you could get. I have been playing as I can just the regular, not the buy in. I have decided to do what a lot of gamers have been saying on YT and I am just resourcing up everything. Planting pumpkins for coins, gathering and cleaning up the valley. I haven't been to Eternity Isle in forever. I still have some under 10 level players so I am also focusing on getting them all leveled up. I don't even have Timon and Pumbaa yet. That is how far behind I am! cakediva I missed a dreamsnaps in the last bit. I think it was the backpack one. I just didn't have the mental energy to play at night. When you don't have mental energy to play this game, you know it's bad. However, I will say, with last week's DS, I ended up with 1200 moonstones!! I was blown away. I have also sort of figured out some of the secrets to getting stuff in the picture to make those bonus punches. I also just heard over the weekend if you can get a photo with the Mickey head cloud that it helps some. I think I knew that but when I heard it yesterday it just hit me again!

I have spent a bunch of time decorating the valley, it’s so addicting to me. I actually don't care about decorating in this game. They did make it extremely easy, but I just can't get into it.. I'm really behind for the first time in a while -haven't played in over a week, and missed my first dreamsnaps entry But I've got 10 days to finish the dang star path - here's hoping I can! Good luck! The freaking memory one was the worst one for me! So I was just going to post about the expansion and find out if anyone is excited or meh on it. AND IF you are expanding, which one will you be buying? I am thinking I will go all in with the $50 Enchanted edition. I've got to look at my fun funds to see how I am doing. I may as well go all in. The small amount of happiness it brings is worth it to me at this point. Hell, I usually am very adamant about "No Christmas decor until after Thanksgiving" and threw that out the window yesterday. I even busted out the Christmas playlist. FIND JOY WHERE YOU CAN! The Star Path...groan. This one is not pulling me in. I didn't really like most of the rewards you could get. I have been playing as I can just the regular, not the buy in. Yeah, it was a rough path for me, too. I made Timon a miner and Pumbaa a fisher to help level them up while I do the path. It seemed to help them along since this one seemed fishing/mining heavy to me. I suggest keeping them evenly leveled once you do start though... no spoilers, just a bit of advice.

dawnnikol my tree went up last weekend. It sat for a week with nothing but lights and the Harry Potter candles hanging above it. Friday night, I finally added ornaments. I also realized I need more ornaments. Or fluff or something. I have been drinking my tea from my Snowman mug and I am about to break out my Grinch car inflatable in the next few days. I love that thing!! I needed joy and I took it. Did the same thing last year.

I agree, the star path didn’t have great rewards but I finished it. I hope the next one is better.
I’ll be buying the Enchanted edition, for sure. I am so hooked on this game, I may have a problem. And what is scary, all my characters are at 10, I have completed all the quests, so I am just crafting and decorating, planting pumpkins and collecting coins. Oh, and shopping.
I’m playing on a Switch, so my item counts for decorating are a bit limiting, but I am still having a blast. This is totally my escape from the real world.
Two more sleeps, LOL.

Definitely leaning towards the Magical addition that has the 10,000 bonus moonstones. I have all the Rift in Time stuff so it makes sense to have the Magical one with the bonus items!

I wish we could visit eachother's valleys. They should fix that. You can. I don't remember which update it was but we got a portal. I don't think it is a smooth visit like AC. I also don't know exactly how the portal works. I will go to mine in a bit and see what it says when I interact. I'll be back to report when I know something. I found this and it appears I watched it at some point but I don't remember a thing about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=EfHn5-_ch8I

I have everyone leveled up and I will buy into the expansion. I've had way too much time on my hands this year being out of work, but I start a new job next month and I will be playing this game to reduce the stress of work. How ironic. ETA: My halls are already fully decked. I needed all the joy I could get this year.

My ds lives in Georgia and I'm in Virginia. We both play an online MMORPG called Runescape. I am not a good fighter, at least not for high level bosses. So he either does them for me when he's here visiting, or he does the screen share thing from down in Georgia. We did that recently for something I'd been struggling with for a week or so. I COULD. NOT. BEAT. THAT. BOSS. He hadn't even tried it yet on his game because he still needed one more prerequisite quest that he had to do which I had already done. So the first time he attempted it was when we did screen share. He had read a few things online, then just went in as me and boom done. Success. It's that whole "digital native" thing. lol

My Switch was just being stupid. All loaded now! Well, mine was too. Took 1.5 hours. I haven't bought the new pack yet as there seems to be bugs. I may wait a day or two. People were buying the $50 pack but only getting the $30 pack.
