I said this exact same thing to ODS this morning about the quests. But I have realized it is not the amble along AC game. It is fun. There are daily tasks. Just wait until you ask anyone to hang out. Especially Goofy. While you are trying to fish. I still just can't get into this game. And my ACNH island is a mess right now with dropped Halloween items everywhere. Need to pick them up and switch to Christmas. Still grinding on my Nook Miles badges, my self imposed to do list of getting them all. KK, Wisp, cooking, and diving. Ugh. It is really only quest driven it seems. Just when you get one done, whammo!! you stop and talk to someone and into another quest you go. I don't know if it slows down after you are in the game awhile. I am still quite new on playing. I just haven't had the energy to play this one like when I first started ACNH. I still have biomes that are not opened. Which makes it really difficult to cook some foods as I can't get the ingredients, like a potato. I do avoid Merlin I have found. Unless I am needing him for a quest. I have hopes that once the new update comes along things will change up. Especially when we are able to visit friends. At the moment, it is a lonely run around. |

I have discovered I suck at fishing with Goofy as much as I did in ACNH... It's sad. Ha - I totally tagged LucyG in this instead of you. That's what I get for not going back to double check!! I'm getting the hang of fishing - everything else I seem to suck at lol. |

I'm getting the hang of fishing - everything else I seem to suck at lol.   Good for you! It took me a hot minute to get it figured out. When I realized what I was doing wrong and fixed that, I became a champ at fishing. Also having my 32 yr old son give me flack for this and ACNH fishing issues just propelled me to get it figured out! You have just started playing so it will all get better. I will say I had a hard time figuring out how to place the characters' houses. And then issues with moving things. Again, it took a 32 yr old to school me. He also said do ALL the things to earn money. Sell all the harvest, fish, gems, etc. Do all the dreamlight duties to get those numbers boosted. Then it is not frustrating to spend the time doing all that to get biomes opened or houses/wells/Goofy's stalls upgraded. |

McScrooge's quest to put out 10 pieces of furniture. I have 3 out of 10 down. I think for now, I may just make a bunch of benches. Most of the other DIYs are indoor items. |

There are so many quests that I've not done many of them. I really need to focus on decorating my valley. My house is a mess. I just blasted through quests and skipped decorating. Minus the Dreamsnaps weekly challenge. I do the challenge and then clean it up at least.  He also said do ALL the things to earn money. Sell all the harvest, fish, gems, etc. Do all the dreamlight duties to get those numbers boosted. Then it is not frustrating to spend the time doing all that to get biomes opened or houses/wells/Goofy's stalls upgraded. I opened the biomes as soon as I could to have access to everything, then upgraded the shops and gardens. Now I just harvest my pumpkins for extra money because I'm out of quests. That is one of the quest I can't seem to complete. McScrooge's quest to put out 10 pieces of furniture. I have 3 out of 10 down. I think for now, I may just make a bunch of benches. Most of the other DIYs are indoor items. If it's on of those biome specific, you can use furniture from elsewhere, too. Just plop it down to complete the quest and then put it back where you had it. I haven't tried moving the wells! That's super smart. I finally started moving some houses that I've had all grouped together for easy questing. lol |

dawnnikol I did finally complete the McScrooge furniture quest last night. I just plopped a couple of benches, an ice chest, a lamp post and a couple of other small things down and got my numbers. I, unfortunately, don't have good reading comprehension. Or I, at least, just skim the quest rules. I was placing my stuff on in the plaza and not in the peaceful meadows. Done! I am only 1 biome away from being fully opened. The Frozen one. I need to build up all my dreamlight funds again. I realized the houses could be moved as easily as a planter. I had just plopped Wall-E's house in peaceful meadow. ODS asked me why I had a junk trailer in a pretty spot. I saw that someone had his house in Sunlit Plateau and thought that was a perfect place. So whammo! I moved it. You just have to find a space and plop.

Lol The Ursula upgrade, IMO, is completely worth it because then she's not trapped in bodies of water. Oh, and she's my favorite. ^.^ I got the Moonstone bonus when I purchased, so what I do when a new Star Path comes out (should be with the December release) is use the Moonstones to unlock everything and then complete the Star Path to replenish them. I haven't bought any of the other stuff with them. |

Just wanted to FYI for anyone following who still hasn’t bought the game, the Ultimate version is on sale again for $41.99 until December 4th through the e-shop. Target has the Cozy Edition advertised on sale for $34.99 too. I think since I bought a $50 e-shop gift card at Target last month to save the extra 5% (paid with RedCard) I’ll get the Ultimate version even though I detest download versions.

OMG this is my new time suck LOL!
I sit down to play after dinner and all of a sudden it's 10pm. I'm realizing I need to "play" with all the characters to keep things progressing.
Stupidly, I had no idea what the "skill" I was clicking on as each one leveled up was for, so now I'm stuck with a bunch of characters who dig, and one that fishes. I managed to get Scrooge McDuck to 10 because he was my only mining character for a while. UGH
Does poor Ariel ever get legs? She's hard to level up LOL

Total first world problems - but dammit! I now have the new tool elixirs on my tools. But the problem is I need tuna & salmon to cook for Scar, and with the damn potion I’m getting lobster 😂

Ugh, I was going to buy it online yesterday so I’d have something to keep me entertained on Thanksgiving at the lake cabin. But when we got there the internet was down and we couldn’t get it back online until this afternoon. 🙄 I ended up spending the whole day playing damn BubbleCloud offline and was reminded of why I hated that game and stopped playing it, LOL. Then the rest of today was spent furiously shopping online.
