Ok is it wrong that I want to put on the blue ballgown & gloves and a tiara and run around the valley doing my tasks? Not all all!! I did!! I love my tiara! I will say I am wearing the dashing jacket with pants and boots. I feel like Prince on stage. Oh, and I finally got Ariel. That was exciting. I keep forgetting to talk to my villagers and due that have run out of quests. I did finally get a couple unlocked Saturday night. But OMG, the glitches are driving me nuts! I was doing one quest and I knew I had the requirements. I googled and they said there was a glitch. I signed out and back in. It was still showing that I didn't have one of the photos I needed. I took 5!! So I knew I had them. After I got the last photo on the list, I looked and FINALLY it showed mission completed and I was able to go back to Goofy

I can’t get to the other side of the tree to take the pic! I’m not having any luck taking it from a distance

Ok is it wrong that I want to put on the blue ballgown & gloves and a tiara and run around the valley doing my tasks? No judgment! You rock your ballgowns and tiaras, that's why they're there. I hope the release next week has a comfy pajama set like the Oogie Boogie one from Halloween. I need to be comfy when I'm running around doing quests.

Go figure that one counted. No, it was one of the Pillars that we had to get a shot of. I can't remember which one. Speaking of getting to the other side, in case some of you missed it upthread. Don't let blocked bridges hinder you from getting to the other side. Just move your well somewhere on the other side where you want to go. As far as I know this only works in your unlocked biomes. Once you move your well, if you have paid to upgrade for quick travel, you will be able to head to blocked areas until you can "legally" unblock them.

I’m finally downloading the game now. Figured I’d better do it before I forget again and remember too late and miss the end of the sale. 🤦🏻♀️ And of course right now I have way too much stuff to do to actually sit down and get into it once it loads. Would have been so much better if I could have downloaded it on Thursday morning when I was at the lake cabin and had literally nothing to do for hours! 🙄 At least we were able to get our internet issues there resolved on Friday, but Friday was consumed by online shopping once we could get back online, LOL.

Are we sharing dreamsnaps in here? I locked in this week's entry (ugh, another Dreamers Unite ) before I clean up my meadow but I'm left wondering if it's not too Haus of Mouse although I snapped the shot with Goofy as my buddy and used a completely different setting for last week's Haus dreamsnap. But can I be bothered to glam up a corner of my valley just for this week's dreamsnap when I need to get into the December Daily groove? Eh... What do my fellow DDV players think? Pic in spoiler.

I logged onto ACNH the other day after 19 months away. It was...meh.
Am I going to buy this game? If the peas talk me into it, probably.
What about this game is better (or worse) than ACNH. I dont want a game where I have to use real people money to move forward. Does this require that?

Welcome back, Booty! <3 If you saw the absolute nightmare that my village is, you would disown me. Yours is lovely. The expansion coming out is really going to mess with my DD plans... or vise versa. Uggghhhh. What about this game is better (or worse) than ACNH. I dont want a game where I have to use real people money to move forward. Does this require that? Depending on which version you start out with, yes and no. Yes, because you might want to shell out the $40(?) to purchase the game, but it comes with some Moonstones. There are 2 forms of currency, actual gold coins (think Scrooge McDuck's money bin) and Moonstones. Moonstones you can purchase using real money, but are used for things like updating your house to look like a Disney castle or Haunted Mansion. You can also earn those in game though by completing the Star Paths which come out seasonally. It's similar to ACNH with the collecting of ingredients and mining and chores, but the Disney villagers also offer quests to level their friendship level with you. The bugs are still a problem in this game though. Disney has failed to fix them, but acknowledges that their product is still problematic. I've been dealing with it for over a year now, but it still sucks.

LOL, this one definitely has a learning curve, but it does get more relaxing. Do you have your fishing pole yet? Once you do you select the fishing tool and then use X to throw your line where there are circles in the water. When you see a tug you set the hook with A and then quick hit on A when the big circle shrinks to the size of the smaller circle-usually 3 times. (I'm on an xbox, so controls might vary on other platforms.) It took a bit to figure it out, but I find it much easier than fishing in AC or Stardew. Sorry, I don't remember how to help Goofy--it's been a minute. I think Mickey or someone had to show me the house. It was a mess and had to be cleaned up. If you can get to the stove in Goofy's house you can make the fruit into fruit salad and it will give you more stamina. Good luck!

Ill try again tomorrow when Im not so tired! it took me a couple of days to figure out fishing. My only thought was "great, I hated it in ACNH and I hate it here." Happy to say I finally got it. The trick to me was watching the incoming circle and as soon as it turned green hit A again. Incoming, turn to green, hit A. The larger circle shrinks and turns green. Know that the green color is the key to hit A. It will get slightly faster after each hit. I hit up YouTube to get helpful beginner hints.

I’ve been playing about a month and still run in circles at times. Also, I thought I could read a map until this game.

I have no shame in googling though. Speaking of getting lost, the frozen tundra land, whatever it's called, I lose my way to the special cave every time I go there. I'm lost now.

I play on the Switch, so if you are using a different machine, I have no idea if it's the same. Just click the + button on your right controller to pull up the map. You scroll through the options at the top using the L and R buttons. The map shows you and everybody else. There are also purple icons for the wells that you can teleport straight to when you click them. If you click on a character/house/well, it will surround them with a purple ring. Exit out of your map and you'll now have a magical pixie dust trail to lead you to them. Just talk to them and it'll clear it. If you didn't mean to click them, just click them again in your map. Your map also shows you the status of your fruits and veggies. Your house ( littlemama) is also on the map in a dark grey circle with a white house symbol with a Mickey head. Click it and the pixie dust will lead you. Here's a tutorial for Goofy: Unlock Goofy. To fish: Equip your fishing pole using ZR to scroll through your tools. You keep it held and then use your left joystick to select. Hit Y to fish, but you want to aim for a bubbling circle by HOLDING Y and releasing when you're in the center-ish. The type of fish varies from each realm and the color of the bubble pool you fish. When a fish bites, the prompt to "Hit A" will pop up. Click A and then wait for the larger ring to shrink and turn the ring around the fish green. You must click A every time it turns green. The timing on this varies based on the fish. White bubbles are low fish, blue are medium, and gold are the rarer. Move around your body of water to get to a good spot and mess around with aiming, you'll get the hang of it. sometimes you're given the recipes. I have no shame in googling though. Yep, Google, unless you want to waste ingredients: DLV Recipes.Go to your house if you want a quick replenish of energy. You can, literally, move just about anything to anywhere else. Don't like an apple tree in that spot? Move it. Your backpack is opened by clicking "X", this also changes your wardrobe and moves furniture.

Tell me that all of you who are almost a year into this game finished all the quests before really getting into the moving/decorating stage??
I think I have 2 or 3 friends at Level 10, but still have so many friendship quests locked because I've not opened the Forgotten Lands or they aren't Level 7 yet......
And when I have no quests, I'm running around trying to up friendship levels. I have no time to decorate LOL

Decorate? What's that? I've only done the decorating that I had to do for McScrooge's quest. Oh wait!! I made a snow lady to sit outside my house! That's all.

I still haven't really decorated because it can be frustrating. There are so many houses, too. I feel like the beach is super crowded but where else are these folks supposed to live?! Tuesday is the update. I would really love it if they'd focus on fixing the bugs, but I doubt that will happen. My girls are having issues, too, and it's annoying... /sigh.

I just spent my afternoon collecting soft wood & rocks and making a bunch of small chests. One is by my work table at Goofys house and I put all the crafting stuff in it. And three are in my cottage kitchen - one is all fish, 9ne is fruit and one is veggies. I found out if I’m cooking at Remi’s where the butter & eggs are, all my food storage is pulled in there - yay! So I’m stock piling so I can fill orders and make gifts for fries to up my friendship totals.
Slowly catching on!

Maybe we can steal our wiener costumes from ACHN and do another photo shoot at DDLV. LOL. LOL! The coordinating on the board to make sure everyone had both parts was fantastic, too. Then there was the RBG night and the King Tut masks... /cackle Google was NO help - took trial and error and ages to figure out the triangle opened the backpack ugh. Does this help?Awww, RGB night was on my island, I believe. Those were fun times. Probably the only good thing to come out of the pandemic!

dawnnikol You are participating in the weekly dreamsnaps though, right? I feel like that's added some serious bonus to DDV for those who've been playing for a long time and are waiting for the next update. And you get free moonstones in return! To everyone else: work your way up to unlock Vanellope so you can start doing dreamsnaps as well. Once you get the hang of it, you can try to target 2500 moonstones/week on average. There are weeks where you'll feel your efforts have gone unrewarded but then there'll be weeks when you rank high and get 4000 without breaking a sweat on your dreamsnap. It's fun (and a little frustrating at times, granted)! It's also a great way to acquire moonstones for free. (Minimum amount of moonstones for low ranking is 300 so you're always at least making that.) I need a break from work after several hectic weeks and managed to get 2 days off next week. Yes, I absolutely planned those 2 days around A Rift in Time. I cannot wait for the monkeys! Eternity Isle - and its ancient machines - is giving me serious Slime Rancher vibes so I'm extra excited about this new expansion. ETA: My final shot for this week's dreamsnaps. I decided to change the time of day, location and outfit. I think (hope?) I'm done now.
