I ran all over my island after reading your post and I can't find one single doll. I have just closed the software and will reopen it later and see if anything has changed.

I also don't have the fairy godmother. I thought for sure I had all the pillars. I need to go google how many pillars there are and exactly which ones. I very well could be missing one.

Ok, it seems I do not have the Pillar of Remembrance. If I recall, when the Forgotten came in, my game froze or something. Or am I remembering something else. In either case, I need to fulfill that quest and I have no idea how to do that.

Ok so Fairy Godmother started the Forgotten quest for me - I had to collect the orb of remembrance - and then the forgotten took it from me. And then Fairy Godmother said she’d be in touch when she knew more z(or something like that lol)

I think maybe my issue is I have been avoiding Merlin and therefore I haven't unlocked any new quests. That's my objective tonight.

Where did you put vanellope‘s house? And Wall-e’s for that matter?
I finally did my first dream snap. Nothing special. Just enough to check the completed box. As a result, I have vanellope’s candy house.

All my issues of last night seem worked out. I finally got all the Forgetting stuff. After that, every time I turned around I was finding a doll. Now to finish that little bit.

As a result, I have vanellope’s candy house. Because I hadn't caught on to how to move rocks and crap - I have her stuck across from Goofy's house, and I have Mirabel between Goofy and the stairs to the Plaza. It's a tight fit - I think I'll move her soon. I have Wall-e up by Scrooge's store - when you stand looking at the store, I have him to the right and down closer to the back path to the meadow pond.

And his house is planted over back by the first Pillar we restored in the Meadow, he overlooks the beach lol. I'll move it eventually but it fit there and I didn't want to put it in Forgotten until I have that Pillar fixed and the land looking better.

when you buy them there is sticker shock - but the first time you cash in after harvesting with a garden friend? $$$

Is anybody else annoyed that the “extra” gifts for friends now include recipes with items from Rift in Time that you have no access to? That really sucks.

You can't give an "optional" expansion and then do shiz like that. One of my villagers wanted some sort of pixel thing? I Googled. It's only from playing multiplayer, which I'm hearing is super buggy AND not user friendly... so, there's that. :X

I've spent two days playing A Rift in Time. I've encountered several bugs. Some played in my favour, granted. Others not so much. I'm enjoying this new world but I wouldn't see myself settled in it the way I am in the Valley. It's fun and exciting but not as cosy. And it's big! I keep losing myself in that long border between the Glistening Dunes and the Wild Tangle. Rapunzel is incredible. I was a little apprehensive as she's my favourite Disney princess but they did good. She looks gorgeous, has incredible facial expressions, beautiful voice-over, super fun behaviour (I love seeing her set up to paint). I definitely would like to move her and set up the tower in the Valley. I've unlocked every area in the Eternity Isle biomes and already upgraded the Hourglass once. Rapunzel is close to being a level 10 friend. Next up is working on levelling up Gaston, Jack back in the Valley and figuring out how I want to change the housing situation now that the game has doubled in size. And getting the dreaded denim DreamSnap in. I'm definitely going to use those pretty wings, antlers and coat from the Star Path!

Has anyone traveled to a friend’s village yet? Haven't yet. And I'm not about to invite anyone as 75% of my Valley is a hot mess. I used some of my lunch hour time to log a photo for this week's DreamSnaps challenge. I like it but it's so simple. And I feel like a significant chunk of DreamSnappers will be using the new clothes and items from the current Star Path for this one. Keep or change, what do the Peas say? (snap in spoiler)

I am up for trying to travel soon though if someone else wants to try.

Speaking of letting the night thorns pile up - why were we doing that? I've removed a few now and nothing special happens lol.
I've reached the end of the "game" story with The Forgotten and now she's part of my village. But night thorns still appear.

I've reached the end of the "game" story with The Forgotten and now she's part of my village. But night thorns still appear. Letting night thorns pile up is always a good idea before a new Star Path. There are always night thorn tasks during these. If your Valley is clean and cleared, you'll have to wait for enough of them to grow to complete these tasks otherwise. The Royal Winter Star Path has: "Do some magical weed removal" (30 night thorns) + "Pull some nighttime weeds" (40 night thorns). Then you've got Star Path tasks that require to do a certain amount of Dreamlight (or Mist) duties and those can include night thorn removal as well. Night thorns won't magically stop growing once you've got the Forgotten wandering your Valley. They just keep growing back, like the rocks, flowers, etc.

Thanks seveerb ! I changed my DreamSnaps entry a little bit, mostly to get rid of the empty space on the right-side foreground (grew a Cosmic Fig plant with a seed from Eternity Isle to get a little more blue luminosity going and repeat one more sphere element). I think I'm done. I don't have enough time this week to spend on tweaking and getting it just right. Hopefully, it's denim-y enough and scores at least 2500 moonstones. If not, oh well, I tried. For those still getting used to DreamSnaps: don't forget you can tweak the time of the day that's shown in your Valley in the graphic settings of the game. You don't have to wait until it's actual sunset to get a sunset pic! It doesn't cause any glitches or issues as you're not actually attempting to time travel. It's just a built-in feature to make DreamSnaps easier and fairer (not everyone is able to go into the game at any time of the day to get the right lighting/atmosphere).

That's a lovely Dreamsnap sleepingbooty! Again, I haven't even started those. I do have the initial Vanellope one to get set up but I just don't have enough of the requested items to get anything set up yet. It's good to know I can change the time in settings. I still don't have the hang of it all yet. I stink at buying furniture from Scrooge. Even though it just hit me, I suppose I could go in and order, set the area up and then sell the furniture back to Goofy. Maybe this week. My life is settling down some now that the choir/handbell concert is over. Our choir practices are almost on our holiday hiatus. Handbells are done until after the new year. Most of Christmas prep is done so I have a bit of spare time and won't be so worn out in the evenings. One question I have is the camera angle. I hate hate hate with a fiery sun passion the swooping angle of my camera. I know in ACNH, ODS changed something in the settings and that changed up some stuff and it wasn't so shakey. Now I have I an issue as I am running around and trying to do chores. All of a sudden I am looking through the tree leaves. Or back behind me. Surely there is something I am missing on how to not have this happen. Oh and I love your fairy wings in the pic sleepingbooty!! I am wearing a ball gown, tiara, fancy boots and my fairy wings. I feel so fancy. And it is fun running around breaking up the rocks in a fancy ball gown!

I adjust my camera angles all the time, but I admit to being used to it from playing Quake II Rocket Arena and Half-Life for years... I recommend just trying to get used to it, because when you start doing the Time stuff in the Rift (expansion) you have to move your camera angle to see where the gold dust stuff goes to find the hidden objects.

Most of Christmas prep is done so I have a bit of spare time and won't be so worn out in the evenings. This week's DreamSnaps challenge is outfit-based. You do not need to buy any furniture from Scrooge's to meet the criteria. Just look in your wardrobe what you can wear to meet the requirements). I highly, highly recommend you log any photo that meets the clothing criteria just so you can make an extra 300 moonstones at the minimum. Do not wait until you have more. It's an error. You lose out on free moonstones and experience. It takes a little bit of time to get the hang of DreamSnaps, both technically and artistically. I say, go for it! Don't spend much time on it. Pick an outfit, a corner in your Valley, a buddy if you want someone else with you in the photo, a companion if you want to pose with them and get started.

Just to make sure I am saying what you think I am saying. The camera view is the view I am seeing on the screen when I play. I think that is what you are also saying. Because I never see that wild swings of views on any YTers. Also, trees. Do we get rid of trees? Move them? Some of these videos I've watched have such cleaned out looking areas. I guess it goes back to you saying we can move ANYTHING. Can we actually move trees, bushes, etc.?

Because I never see that wild swings of views on any YTers. I don't swing around in mine, unless I make it. I know it can be weird when I'm running through areas that have lots of trees though. Which leads me to your next question: Also, trees. Do we get rid of trees? Move them? Some of these videos I've watched have such cleaned out looking areas. I guess it goes back to you saying we can move ANYTHING. Can we actually move trees, bushes, etc.? YEP! There are certain trees that produce soft, hard, dark, etc wood. Some people just line those specific trees up in an orchard type situation to gather wood. Otherwise, click them and destroy. You can always add more later!

naby64 What platform are you playing on? I'm on Steam (PC) with a controller and there are settings in the game I can adjust for more or less sensitivity for my controller. It's possible you've accidentally changed something along those lines for your device. To anyone with the DLC: Are you, too, tired of having to run around 2 worlds to find the daily blue chest? It was fine at the start but since the update, I am covering ground like a mad woman. I cannot spend this amount of time trying to find it daily. I used to be able to log in and locate it within 5 or so minutes. Today's blue chest took me right to the very last biome left to explore. If this continues, I'm going to have to clear major patches of land on Eternity Isle to make it at the very least a little easier to spot. This is madness.
