I'm finally decorating my house. The front room was a hoard of stuff that my character collected from the village. I finally have it organized into storage chests. I have Belle and Beast and really need to work on quests, too. My village is not pretty. I spent so long decorating my ACNH island and I need to do the same here.

Well apparently you can't put all Goofy's carts in one land. I swear I saw a TikTok setup just like that ugh.
I did however, find a set-up decor area of the Frozen land with two ice rinks, and all kinds of pretty. So I saved the video and have been setting mine up. I've had to buy a lot of it - but apparently there is an ordering from Scrooge daily limit LOL
So I'm only half done....

Ok I'm an idiot - I was purchasing a few things from Scrooge for my ice rink set up (copying another layout I saw lol) and somehow I've ended up with FIFTEEN ice skate racks. Can you sell this stuff? Or is it in my inventory forever?
Not that the $$ matters now that I'm a pumpkin farmer LOL

I’ve enjoyed reading this thread. I finally managed to get a Dreamsnap (is that what it’s called?) done and V’s house placed. I have a few questions.
1) Does it matter what role I give the villagers? I like mining. Could I just give that role to everyone?
2) In regards to mining, I’m doing so to make money. I don’t have all the biomes open yet so pumpkins aren’t a thing for me right now. I’ve saved ten of each gem that’s available to me at the moment. Do I need to save more? Is there a quest that requires more than ten of a single gem at once?
3) Am I just stupid about my house? I have the cozy edition which came with a house. I cannot figure out how to change my yellow house for this new cottage. Do I just place it wherever I want? Do I have two houses then?
4) I placed Moana’s house in the Plaza. I didn’t have the beach open when I got that quest. Can I move her house to the beach? I’m apparently stupid when it comes to anyone’s home in this game.

lilacgal Here's what I know lol: 1) assign different roles to them - especially make sure you have a couple gardening ones. You'll be thankful when you finally get pumpkins! When you have a gardening friend along while you harvest, they double your harvest - so my pumpkin field of 216 spots yields me over 500 pumpkins at harvest time. Same for things you can't buy like cotton - you can only buy seeds. 2)I'm fairly new as well - and I've not come across anything yet, other than tasks in the current extra expansion thing that you got rewards for harvesting 10 red gems - but not that I've had to use 10 for a task. I do try to keep any "shiny" gems - they are more rare. And keep the black ones - you can make night shards from them 3) I'm stupid there as well - I have two houses lol. And when a friend wants to meet me at my house, it defaults to the yellow one, not my cute cottage 4) yes! It took me a while to sort out how to move from land to land, but you can move her house. Get to the part where you have the selection tool and once you click her house just start dragging towards the beach and it will move there

That’s the musical we did at school last year so I love those characters. I will add some farmers to my list. I’ve been mixing it up and trying to match the role to the character. Except for Mickey. I made him forager for some stupid reason. I need to figure out how to switch his role. Vanellope just gave me the thingy to visit other people. I would love to see some of your valleys if anyone is open to visitors.

Here's my question for those further along than I am!
I've seen a few really cool tik tok tours/setup videos for different areas - I'm currently eyeing one about the Plaza.
It seems like they completely blank out a space and go from there. Where are they putting all the buildings while they set things up? Just moving to another area and bringing them back? That's going to require some heavy clearing out on my part lol.

I wonder if any cross platform is possible then. I’m sorry we won’t be able to visit each other! This is correct. My ODS was going to buy it on his PS platform. He looked into it and found out no visitation. My island is just a hot mess. I've done no decorating unless it was a quest. And then I just placed what was required and picked it up. I don't have all the characters and I have certain items in my inventory just sitting and waiting on me to make friends with characters so I can complete the final quests. I did get the expansion for Christmas so now I jump over there to do things. I have a hard time finding the balance. One day, I'll get my stuff together and open up. |

So I looked into the cross-platforms visiting. From what I read, most of the platforms can cross play. There is one platform that can't. But I don't know how we can safely bring in visitors. I'm thinking back to ACNH where there were nefarious people visiting and taking advantage of our ladies. I don't think it would be a good idea to share codes in a public setting. With ACNH, we could approve of friends before they were allowed to visit.
So I am having trouble using my time bending tool in the Lion King realm. Often there's an item that is up high that I can't figure out how to get there. It shows up where I go through the tunnel and start to cross the log over the river. The tool shines upward. Anyone else?

My daughter started playing at the same time as me, and she has a very different strategy. She's trying to get to the pumpkins as quickly as possible to make a bunch of money. So I have a question in the castle. I have unlocked all the rooms with night thorns in front of them except for the smooth emblem doors. I am too wrapped up with stuff at the moment to get lost on Google or Youtube. I just realized today I don't have Eric either. But I know why. For whatever reason I have basically ignored Ariel. For no other reason that I have been busy running around trying to do everything else. ODS gave me Rift in Time for Christmas so I was busy over there. Getting this place opened. Fixing that bridge. I also realized I haven't gotten the Orb of Whatever in the Forgotten Lands. So I guess they are truly Forgotten. LOL
Tonight is the Championship game for which DH is all excited for but me, nah! So we are have leftovers and he is bummed. However, the weather here is horrendous and I am not getting out to get anything takeaway. I have determined to quit wasting food and this soup was really good. So soup, sandwiches and Red Lobster biscuits. Also meaning, I got time to kill tonight.
I am determined to get the Royal Winter Path done since I got started too late for the Haunted Halloween. I just don't always stay on task. Is there a secret to not get diverted?

So I’ve opened all the realms in the castle - I don’t think you can open the smooth doors - they might be for future expansion.
I’ve opened all the biomes and have been working on getting all my villagers up to level 10. I’m down to Simba & Nala, Wall-E, Beast, Woody & Buzz and Valliope I think. I tend to be quest focused over decor focused. I don’t know what to do when I don’t have a quest!
I finished the Royal Winter Path over the holidays except for one last task of eating 15 5Star meals. And I managed that by eating 5 star to give me energy when planting pumpkins lol.
I’m not buying that expansion just yet - as fun as it looks - I’m really trying not to spend any money right now.

UGH! I’m doing the Buzz “find the green alien” challenge and I have ONE left to find and can’t find it anywhere.And yes I’ve googled and the only tips are “use the furniture mode” lol no exact listing of where they spawn. 😂

Nabi, I don't know how to stay on track with the star path when you are in the beginning of everything. I missed out on my first one too. I can concentrate on it now that I have mostly everything else done. What I did also is to work on those duties first and stop only when I run out of opportunities for the day.
So I have a question for those of you who have the expansion pack. I would love to move a house from the valley to the rift island. Is there a way to do this? I think I have seen where someone has done this but I can't find out how. I wish Iphi would come back soon; I think I remember that she said she was taking a break. She's the pro at this stuff.
And I'm still having trouble in the Lion Kind realm.

I have figured out how to move a house into the rift valley. For anyone who is just as dense as me and wants to do it... X for your inventory, add furniture, click on the houses tab and choose the house.
I moved Mirabel's house to the bamboo maze section. It fits aesthetically, and I don't go there too often. I get irritated with the windows flapping all the time.

I'm down to just a few left to get to level 10 friends and I've completed the find all the aliens except for the last 8 that are in Remy's and the Castle. I just haven't logged on to play to grab the last few.
I think just Valliope, Beast & WallE are left!

Well, I made it through my second Moonstone Path Rewards challenge. I had just gotten my game, I think, when the Halloween star path was out and just flubbed that one. Didn't really know what I was doing. I still don't most days but I'm getting there. I got everything I wanted this go round except maybe one of the skating things. The rink rug maybe? I made sure to get all the moonstones as soon as I could.
Now, I am just back to the boring quests and making money. It took me long enough to figure out to spend a bit of money to make a lot of money!! On pumpkins! Now I see how so many youtubers have millions. I have watched a couple of videos and things are making more sense on farming. What to farm to make the most return, and quickly. You would think I would catch on faster as the ODS ribs me on my generic game playing. Ok, little whippersnapper, I'll get you and your little Switch too!
I do still need to get Eric. I am remembering to talk more to Ariel. I have so many open quests it's ridiculous! I have got to get through the Forgotten Relics so I can get to the dark side. I also don't have 2 pillars. The one in the Forgotten Lands and I think the one next to Skull Rock. Of course, I left my Switch at home today. I really have so much real world work to do, it was the best thing to do.
So just checking in and moving this back to the first page.

Apart from unlocking all of the characters, I haven't really done much in my valley. However, I did start a Rift in Time, just cause I could. It's fun. However, I'm starting Hogwart's Legacy on my PC, so that will be interesting.

So I caved and bought the Rift in Time package - I had levelled all my friends to 10 and had NO quests at all. I was getting kind of bored with it - I know I could spend hours decorating but the appeal for me is the quests....
How is everybody else doing?
