Not necessarily. Each state gets one vote and currently only 22 states are considered solidly red, 18 solidly blue and 9 swing states. A candidate needs 26 votes to be declared the winner. If no candidate got the required 270 then it would hinge on how the swing states vote.

I’m not sure where you got your information that if none of the candidates get 270 votes because everything I read says if none of the candidates receive 270 votes then the House elects the president and the Senate elects the Vice President. As a reminder the Senate Republicans denied President Obama his presidential right to fill an opening on the Supreme Court with almost a year left in his term. The same Senate Republicans then broke all land speed records in rushing through a hearing to fill a spot on the Supreme Court with something like 45 days before voting started for the general election to elect a new president when dumpster don was president.

All morning I have been hearing how the GOP representatives don't want to break precedent with voting Santos out. They and their buds in the Senate, as well as the justices on the SCOTUS, have no problem breaking precedent when they vote or make rulings they have promised are set precedent!!
