As I anxiously count down the days until I can start my 12 day Stitchmas advent calendar, I've been watching the videos by Crafty AI. Much to my surprise, I'm most impressed by the Taylored Expressions items. I thought last year's wasn't really worth the money, but so far I think it is my favorite calendar. I'll keep an eye on those three to help me choose next year's calendar.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not regretting my choice for this year, but I'm pretty sure that 12 stitching dies will be enough for me for a while! I'll be ready for a change next year.

I'm looking for one of those Spellbinders Stitchmas sets and can't find one anywhere! Day 9 Sequins! Bright red sequins! Here's a Crafty Al video with all three advent calendars - www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yTx9SC_K9Y

Last night I cut this and arranged it but waited until today to glue it all down. Then today's advent surprise went pretty well with it! I like how the fringes can be grass OR the fringe on a mushroom (I googled - it's called the annulus of the mushroom, which is just fancy for "ring".)

Totally awesome, jjpeapea! Love how you combined three of the days into one card!

Thanks for sharing the AE advent items, marg. Are those numbers puffy stickers? Yes, they're puffy. I have to say, the Ali Edwards stuff is all very usable - tab stickers, puffy alpha, a tag, etc. I'll incorporate it all into my DD this year (which I still have to start lol). I love the turtle and mushrooms jjpeapea. I'm going to watch the Crafty AI and check out the other calendars. MDscrapaholic Day 9 is so pretty, love the colour! If I see the Stitchmas calendar I'll let you know, I checked some Canadian stores, just in case, and no one has it.

I don't know if Crafty Al is showing it, or if the Crafters' Companion is still doing it, but when I was gifted one of their advent calendars a couple of years ago they also included a pad of pp to coordinate with the contents, so a little head start.

Here is the project I made with the day 10 items. It's an insert card for the Christmas Eve service.

I'm sorry, I was so busy over the weekend I forgot to post! Here's Day 10, and Day 11. I love them both! Day 10 - flower dies Day 11 - banner dies jjpeapea, have you done anything with these?

I made an insert card with the flower set, but I have yet to use the sentiments from Day 11. I know they will create an impression on paper but are they also meant for foiling? What do you think grammadee?

I'm not sure if you can foil with them. I tried using them as dies, and they turned out okay. Some letters cut all the way through, but others did not.

What do you think grammadee? I have used dies in the Glimmer System and they do foil fine lines. Those pieces look like they may work, especially for the part that looks like they emboss? Wouldn't hurt to try it. I hope someone does.

Here is my day 12 Spellbinders Advent project - (day 11 and 12) I made a card for my pen pal. Good thing I love tiny dies because there are soooo many in the Advent calendar. Up until today I forgot I had a tiny die cutter from Love Nicole. It's a lot lighter and easier to haul out than my bigger one. It's a little easier to crank too.

I passed on the advent calendars because I'm so particular with what I like. But man oh man, I wish I'd got this one. I've loved everything so far. Thanks for posting.
Totally jealous!!!

Thanks for continuing to show photos of the Spellbinders calendar MDscrapaholic. I am also impressed with jjpeapea for making stuff right away with their daily surprise - it's nice to see projects made with everything. I'm using my AE Advent Calendar stuff for my December Daily - which I have not yet started. I lament the fact that my busiest time at work is late November/early December, it interferes with my Christmas crafty time lol. Things will be quieter next week so I'm hoping to have more energy to craft at night.

I watched a video early on where everything was opened and there were only a couple items I really wanted but honestly had forgotten about it. Well, I just saw a post on Facebook using todays item. Man, the jealousy came flooding back. 😂 Happy crafting with it!

MDscrapaholic Thanks for continuing to post the items. When I opened today's I was so surprised. I needed gift tags, so today's was very handy. But so many possibilities for nested dyes like this - a fancy arch background, frames, tags. One youtube crafter made a great shaker card with them.
