scrappyrabbit somehow I missed your adorable cards before. I love them! nylene I hope you feel better soon. We are going to DH’s brother’s for our second Christmas later today. We’re bringing most of the dinner with us. I tried a gentle yoga class yesterday and I can tell I haven’t been for months. My muscles are so much tighter than they used to be. Hopefully I will fit more classes in in 2024. Here are a few more of my 6x8 December Daily pages.

justjac, I love your pages. You look beautiful in your dress! That escape advent adventure looks amazing. That is something Anj and family would love. I will have to look into it for next year. Love the doggy nutcracker. Clever! kitbop, I hope you are feeling better, especially if you will have a bunch of 20's for New Years. That sounds like fun, but I would probably never make it to midnight. Hope it is a hit. grammadee, Cirque de Soleil? What a fun gift! Have you ever been before? Hope you have a wonderful time tomorrow! Thanks for the arm advice. I wore a sling all day yesterday and I am not using the arm today. I can use my hand today without pain, which is new. Linda, I'm glad you got your Mini back. Sounds like you have a lot of goals and plans for 2024. Do you have plans for New Years' Eve? AussieMeg, will you be free to crop on Friday night? I'd love to meet you! Do you have fun plans for New Years? kellyr21, do you and Ron have plans for the 31st? I got a call from the Dr's office and I have an appt tomorrow morning. DH's cousin's DD works at the front desk and saw me on the wait list and slipped me in for tomorrow. I am very grateful. I think 2 days of rest have helped a little. I did sleep well last night. I feel so lazy when there are things to be done, but I can't do them. I did go out to the shop and pick woods for DH's segmented pens. He does slices of 8-12 different kinds of wood. I help him put them in a pleasing order since he doesn't see color. We thread them on bolts and he has them ready when he needs one to make a pen. It seems to be a favorite.  Segmented pen Have a great rest of the week and weekend, everyone.

I will need to check what time on Saturday it will be here, to see if it works. We are going out to dinner with friends on NYE, which is about as exciting as it gets for us these days! That pen is sooooo pretty! |

Hey there! I have been thinking about this crop since this morning, and wondering if it was still too close to the holidays. It sounds like it might be better to wait another week or so and let things settle, so no crop tomorrow AussieMeg, nylene, kitbop, Linda, gramma. wanted to get that out there and now I'm going to really catch up here  |

nylene I hope you are continuing to feel better! 19 people sounds like a lot of chaotic fun lol. That is a beautiful pen! Oh gramma , what a great photo, and it's so good that DS followed in Dad's steps to carry on this tradition. I'm sure it was emotional for everyone. I'm getting emotional thinking about it myself. I can't wait to see the pages that come from this. Linda your book exchange sounds so fun, and a cool tradition. Your day home alone sounded wonderful too. I could use one of those myself lol. scrappyrabbit boo to Christmas Covid! I hope you're feeling better and it didn't spread to anyone else. kitbop I think your NYE sounds fun and high energy lol. Hope you are feeling better, scrappyrabbit. It is no fun being sick at any time, but with a baby depending on you, it is especially tough. Sorry you had to cancel fun plans. Hope no one else gets sick. It could not have been Santa that brought Covid. Maybe Krampus? Great pages, justjac. Looks like fun celebrations. And that advent calendar sounds interesting. I had a bit of time today, but ended up doing bits of this and that, never getting to anything crafty. Those pens are gorgeous, nylene. Glad you got some sleep, and hope the dr can help you. |

Happy Saturday Peas and Happy New Years! Waving hi and hope you having a nice day. We had a quiet and simple holiday and glad Ron had an extra day off last week and this week. We hope to get to one of our favorite shopping centers in the next few days but it is suppose to rain so we will see. New Year's Day will be filled with sports and maybe seeing some of the Rose Parade. I'll have to see if our city has a float this year. Last week, I worked on a scrapbook flip through YT video and it is up now. I didn't realize I made 14 pages and have a few more to continue. So I guess I am not as "pokey" as I thought. LOL! kellyr21 , your pages are really lovely. I am glad you took the time to look at them all at once to see what you created this past year.
So sweet that your dd wants to invite her friends to join in your family's NYE traditional activities, kitbop! I hope you have a marvelous time. Dgs has already planned our NYE celebration: it will be much like the last two years, with a shuffleboard tournament and snacks in the basement here. Circque de Soleil was really fun. Dsil had booked us seats four rows back from the stage so we could see the performers up close and personal. What talent those people have! Today, we are home alone, since dd and family were cocuning at their home today, building Lego and then going to public skating and shinny. I cleared some space on my counter and put together a couple of pages. That felt good! Instead of pulling out holiday photos, I decided to take the pressure off and scrap a story about the fans at the many hockey games our dgk's play in each year. AussieMeg 's sketch from last week helped. Hoping that will be the start of several more pages over the next few weeks. Wishing all the Pokeys a very Happy New Year! |

Thank you everyone for the good health wishes. Thankfully my symptoms were mild and I’m feeling much better. The baby seems to have escaped it and now she has some more antibodies. We are back home after being at my parents for a good part of the month, and the baby did great in the car (again!). I feel very lucky. I also came home to so many amazing cards from the Pokeys! joyfulnana hopefully I have a chance to join a crop soon. I’m wondering if people are free on New Year’s Day? nylene that pen is so cool, I have never seen anything like it! kitbop that sounds like a fun NYE with your daughter and her friends! Of course be sure to take pics 😜 My husband and I will stay home, cook something yummy (either duck or crab legs) and have some champagne. I can’t believe it but my maternity leave is officially ending and I have to start back at work on Wednesday! Boo 😣 |

Happy New Year Pokey's! Chiefs home game here so I'm housebound for the day lol. I thought last week leaving a couple of hours before kick off and headed in the opposite direction of most traffic would be easy peasy. Nope. The traffic was awful, it was already being directed by LEO which meant not making any of the turns I wanted. I swore never again lol. I'll finish putting the tree into storage and tidy up some here today. And put my layouts from the year into albums. It' my NYE ritual and I love it. It's fun to see what I did over the course of a year. There wasn't much this year but that will change next year. kellyr21 thanks for sharing your layouts! The tag one is still my favorite and I totally want to scrap lift that. justjac are you going to join in with 30 days of YWA this year? I always start, but have only finished the 30 days twice. But I'll be giving it another go this year. I also print her calendar off every month and sporadically try to follow it. grammadee you had pretty good seats! Sounds like a great time. Have fun tonight! nylene I hope you are continuing to improve. kitbop have fun tonight! Our house was the hangout house when the kids were in school and I loved having their friends around all the time. So cool that Katie would want to have a party at your house. scrappyrabbit I hope to see you at a crop soon. I hope to have one soon LOL. My mom and two of my nieces and I video scrap together on New year's day - this is our third year. I don't recall seeing any crops here on New Year's Day. I love that "put away the layouts" idea joyfulnana ! I have my layouts divided by year...but there are so many just in stacks. I just bought 2 new albums (M's had them on BOGO free...haven't seen that in forever. I should go buy a few more!) and really need to work on that. Woke up with a nasty cold yesterday (likely the cold that has been plaguing north america and that I've been dodging for months!) so we'll keep it quiet today. Not sure whether I'll work on my 2017 December Daily, or start to crochet the Christmas blanket that Katie and I planned. Maybe both. And make the "fancy" mac&cheese for supper. grammadee - oh, how I want to see a cirque show! We almost went to the one in Florida but yikes expensive and I read conflicting reviews. There is one in Toronto this summer. nylene - update? gramma - hanging in there? scrappyrabbit -  end of mat leave. My coworkers having babies have *no* idea how lucky we are. Most are taking 18 months off now. kellyr21 - I love how dynamic and artful your layouts are! TFS! |

I hope I can make more in the new year. joyfulnana, I hope you have fun making a tag layout, too. That is one of my favorites. Here is a lo I started a while ago and just added the picture and journaling to finish it last week for the video. My last page of 2023. I saw one of Paige Evans' layouts and this is my attempt to use her style. Making all those little folded strips of pp was fun.
