Hope it’s ok to post here. I mostly stick to NSBR, but am scrapping again. I finally have a dedicated scrapping area (that isn’t a dark corner of our unfinished basement). Here is one layout with pics of dd from about twenty years ago. And my still in process album for our trip to Italy last year. I’m rather struggling with it. My style is very simple I know, especially these pages. But it’s what I like. I have some stamps I bought for the Italy pages that I'm going to use on some of these. And our itinerary is going to go on the page with our luggage picture. Welcome back! How nice to have a welcoming space... dark basement corners are not my happy place either. My style (for scrapping) is super-simple too, so no need to apologize for that! Thanks for sharing your lovely pages Thank you. I absolutely love the cards you have posted! It's given me ideas for some paper/stickers I bought. I love them but couldn't see using them in my scrapbook as I don't have any pictures they would work with. But maybe some cards!

Another waste-not/use it up card - the background piece was a failed experiment of picking up waste ink from a stencil. I used the Simon Hurley candles stamp and stencil over the top with Solar Paste candle flames and hope that distracts from the weird background mess. Feb share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Finally using up this sheet of Shimelle paper that I loved but found it so hard to cut up and use. I think it's from Starshine. In my stash that's truly ancient paper, so I'm so happy to finally get it glued down. Feb share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Thanks for the reassurance! I didn't want it to go to waste, but couldn't be bothered doing more messy ink smooshing over the top (and then still not knowing what to do with it, lol)

I also like the big kid albums on pg 5, especially the grey hexagon page and the map page joblackford I love the for the record card- very very cute! @breetheflea I love the gazpacho layout. My mom used to make it a lot and it gave me a fond memory. And a reminder to get my recipe album moving along

Miles to Midnight by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I only had one photo, and not a good one from this event, and have been avoiding scrapping it, but finally just made the stupid page. If anyone has any tips for taking photos of people running in the dark (with glowsticks) let me know because there's probably going to be another midnight run in six months I was watching someone on Youtube called CreatedbyGwen or something like that, and got the idea for the shaped border and the cut-out shapes backed with paper (hers were hearts) from there. I think there was a challenge somewhere on the Q1 challenge list to use a shaped background, and something about light ink on dark paper, so I'm checking those off.

@iluvpink - welcome back to the dark side! I love that summer layout - the colours are just perfect. And I think simple sometimes is best for travel pages - lets the great photos shine! My layouts are usually pretty simple also. Thank you! I like your pages a lot!

joblackford - WOW are the card designs amazing! The candles, I honestly thought it must have been a piece of pp, i think the "mess" in the background plus the stamping/stenciling is perfect. The bbq card, the use of that city/moon paper - you are so clever! Linda - as always always- fabulous use of colour and pattern to cleaning accentuate your photos. I especially love the different ways you used the dragonflies! I have been so busy finishing my december daily and my MILs calendar and now it feels GOOD to get back to regular scrapbooking! layout kicked to the curb by kirstendrew, on Flickr layout barefoot photobomb by kirstendrew, on Flickr

Thank you kitbop I have some more random cards that I made with some products I was experimenting with. Some of them went into the 'nope, not for me' pile, but at least the finished cards can be donated. I kept the deer stamp to try more multi-colored stamping because who doesn't love a one layer card with lots of space for a sentiment? Feb share by jo.blackford, on Flickr and my solar paste experiment with an embossing folder. The black cs was smeared with all 6 colors (I just used my fingers and let them overlap and blend a bit) and once it was dry I embossed it. I ran it through a second time with some black ink on the background sections of the embossing folder. Kind of fun, will try this again Feb share by jo.blackford, on Flickr Feb share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

Going to start comments from the top of page seven. Will check back to see if I missed any creations on earlier pages. joblackford your cards are all so interesting and FUN. My mother used to be able to create a delicious meal out of whatever leftovers and supplies she had in her kitchen. You do the same with scrappy leftovers, turning them into delicious cards! Thankyou SO much for sharing the results of your "experiments". So inspiring to just grab something and PLAY! I plan to check them each out in detail on Flickr when I finish here. breetheflea and kitbop, I either have or will soon find your pages on Flickr. I am always inspired by the different ways we all interpret challenges and sketches. And Linda I am always blown away by how many pages you can put together in a month! I have loved seeing how you push yourself to try new things, and your pages here really show that the effort you take to do that really pays off! And, as always, your minimalist style amazes me as you add just those few perfect embellishments to announce the theme. Love the antique look of your heritage page. Some may have gone with browns and steam punk, but you chose such pretty greens and purples. The Vegas pp is perfect for the family game night, that tie die background pp for the hand in the water pic, and the travel pp for your dd's trip. And don't get me started on all the different ways you backed up those wilderness photos... I also love the way you have adapted the sketches to your size of page. That Camp like you Mean it page is stunning, and I love the cascading florals on your Shimelle inspired page. So many beautiful, thoughtful pages. No wonder they send you photos to scrap!

Hi friends! Trying to come up with some crafty ideas. I want to use these dies ( www.snapncrop.com/Mosaic_Moments_Highway_Signs_Die_Set) along the top of a multi-page spread. In the small area of the sign, I want to put a description and numbers in the larger area to describe our trip. The ideas I have so far are X miles driven/flown/walked, number of states, sites seen, B&Bs, and photos taken, but I'm coming up empty for other ideas. Whatcha got?

rymeswithpurple, I hope you don't mind that I edited your post to create a link with the address you posted. That's a great idea. For numbers, you could go by number of days (Day ONE, Day TWO), number of stops, the places you visited. I like the idea of hours or distance flying/driving/walking too.

Pooh by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I'm usually not a card maker but I've made six this month... weird. Two were already mailed, one was delivered with a birthday gift, one will be mailed soon for a March birthday, one will have to wait until May to be gifted (need to fix something before taking a photo) and this 'just because' card is going to my mom because she used to read me Winnie the Pooh and I used that as an excuse to buy the collection
