Hopefully I am not stepping on the toes of sleepingbooty but since I did not see the 2024 thread, I thought I would start us off.

Okay to start us all off...
Will you be doing weekly? Monthly?
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too?
What size will you be working in?
So you subscribe to any kits?
Any favorite companies?
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products?

My PL 2023 was a dismal failure. I took tons of photos, as usual, but I think I only completed one double page spread!! I hope that I am able to stay on top of it this year.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? I am going to do what I had planned to do in 2023. I am just going to put however many photos fit on one page, and just keep going. So it won't be weekly or monthly, it will just be one big run-on project. I might have four photos on one day and then none for the next few days, I don't really care.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? No, my layouts will eventually end up in a photobook, so there is no option for pockets.
What size will you be working in? 12x12, because all the papers and templates I will be using are 12x12.
So you subscribe to any kits? No
Any favorite companies? Just Jaimee for her Storyteller collections, but she hasn't been designing for many months now.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I only do digital

Thanks for starting this pantsonfire! My PL 2023 was a dismal failure. I took tons of photos, as usual, but I think I only completed one double page spread!! I hope that I am able to stay on top of it this year. I am right there with you, although I think I completed about 8 pages. Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Weekly hopefullyDo you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? I started hybrid style last year and like adding full page spreads with my pocket pages for longer stories. What size will you be working in? 9x12So you subscribe to any kits? Elle's Studio only this yearAny favorite companies? I like Elle's Studio and Paper Person, but I probably won't buy from PP this yearDo you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I use a lot of digital products on my pages, from digital stickers on photos to printing out digi elements & cutting them out

Monthly, using stash (I recently bought several SC kits on sale), and mostly design A page protectectors.
The important approach for me is to work one month behind (so in January I'll complete the pages for December and so on.) This approach worked for the last 5 months except Nov got ignored because I did October Daily and prepped December Daily albums. Oops.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Monthly
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Hybrid. I am a chronological scrapbooker that has dabbled w/ pocket pages over the past couple of years. This year I am making my first layout of the month a project life spread, with a monthly card and then pockets w/ some of the smaller stories that would not necessarily get a full page, but that I want to document in some way. That "divider" so to speak wiil then be followed by full page layouts and possibly some pocket page layouts also.
What size will you be working in? 9x12
So you subscribe to any kits? AE SK and SBTM and Elle's Studio
Any favorite companies? AE, Elle Studio
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? yes and I also use the PL app often.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Neither. I do this as a form of documenting over 12x12 layouts.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? This is me. I use this set up for the kids scrapbooks. Sometimes I do a ix12 single page, other times pockets.
What size will you be working in? 9x12
So you subscribe to any kits? No.
Any favorite companies? Pinkfresh Studios, Crate Paper.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? Yes, I have bought a few digital kits and cards. Ibalso use PS to make my own cards.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Committing to monthly, but will likely end up more like weekly. I picked PL back up in 2022 with the AE SBTM, did not love her 2023 changes, so I tried stop the blur and only got through a few months and realized the size was just not working well for me. In 2024 I am resubbing to AE SBTM with the new changes.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? I am definitely hybrid, but will lean towards lots of pocket pages for expediency.
What size will you be working in? 9x12
So you subscribe to any kits? AE SBTM. I also get HS Stamp Society but that does not necessarily get used for PL.
Any favorite companies? Ali Edwards, Heidi Swapp. And then I have a lot of stash from Paper Person kits prior years, 49&Market, Crate Paper, Carta Bella and a few other brands I will definitely be working to pull in. I also really like Elle's Studio dies and stamps.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I will probably use some Paislee Press digitals and some In a Creative Bubble items as well, but for PL I tend to use physical products and my pages will often pull from a design template I will reuse month to month to some extent.

My 2023 documenting went pretty well. (I did 2022 in 2023.) I have at least 8 months completed. Unfortunately, for a few of the months, I only created single pages to hit a design team deadline and then never went back to finish. (Most months have a two-page spread or even four pages.) It will be a bit of a nightmare trying to untangle that. Otherwise, as always, I'm starting the year ambitiously thinking I can tackle both 2024 PL and an older, unfinished year simultaneously... Perhaps 2023 or 2020. I'm sure I don't have the bandwidth, but here we are. Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Monthly! Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Currently, my PL is only pockets. My traditional layouts are in other sizes/albums (12x12 for each kid, 6x8 albums for me). What size will you be working in? 12x12 for PL. So you subscribe to any kits? Elle's Studio and I'm trying Studio Calico for the first time in like 10 years. I chose a six-month sub because I'm not 100% sure. But I just love Amy Gretchen's pages... Any favorite companies? Mostly Elle's Studio and Ali Edwards, with a little Studio Calico, Paper Person, Simple Stories, Cocoa Vanilla, and others thrown in. Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? Yes, every now and then. I'd like to do that more.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Weekly spreads. Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Mostly pockets, but I do add in other layouts if I have time/larger events/photos I want to include. What size will you be working in? 9x12 Do you subscribe to any kits? everything Ali Edwards, Cocoa Daisy Modern Memory Keeper and others. Any favorite companies? AE & CD Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? Yes, although not super often in my project life lately. I should do that more! I share weekly process videos on youtube. I just shared my set up and cover page for my 2024 album. www.youtube.com/lindalovescreating

I am so excited to be back on the PL bandwagon for 2024. I last did it in 2021 and it is by far my favourite album--for some reason I just could not get it together the last couple of years.
Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Monthly works best for me. I struggle with taking photos so it is enough pressure to take enough photos for the month without worrying about how they break down for each week.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? I do this...I very much enjoy my 12x12 layouts, but I found the monthly pocket pages provided a nice place to tell all the stories and gave a good structure to my album.
What size will you be working in? 12x12
So you subscribe to any kits? No subscriptions. I am in Canada, so the shipping tends to be high. I do pick up some on sale from Studio Calico from time to time. I have a lot of older BH PL cards that I need to work through.
Any favorite companies? I use some Studio Calico, but I find I am happiest using my 12x12 collections. Usually I gravitate towards using 6x6/6x8 pads and cut apart sheets. I do love Simple Stories though.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I have bought some before, but have not actually gotten around to printing any. I would like to figure this out this year.
This year I really want to focus on using up some of my stash. I plan to do all of my month titles in white cardstock on my Silhouette and do some DIY kits with a paper pad and some cards for each month.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? I have never done PL the way it was originally conceptualized. I've always done a more loose version. Often monthy, but try to stay chronological. I am the kind of person who used to need the page protectors to flow in a way, so if I ended a month with 3x4's and then, flip... there were 3x4s the second week of the next month, but a 9x12 the first week, I have no problem putting a photo from the 10th before photos on the 3rd, if that makes sense. For the most part, no one will remember.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? I think I answered that above lol.
What size will you be working in? 9x12 - just manage to squeak some new albums at 40% off with free shipping lol finally nice to catch an actual deal. Boring black pleather---- would be nice if AE would make them in more colors... I would love to see that happy yellow!!
So you subscribe to any kits? No. I used to, but the value just isn't there. No one is innovative any more. Also, I've gone from 3 9X12's a year, to two, and am very photo heavy. I've been trying to clear my stash for several years. It's slow going. I feel less guilty about buying what I want, when I want it though. I was that FOMO fool at SC 8-10 years ago. Those sneaks went out and I was ready to buy buy buy. Maintaining subs for early access. Not anymore.
Any favorite companies? Was Kelly Purkey... but that's up for grabs now. LOL I guess I have to say AE- because I buy most of my stuff from "her." Heidi Swapp is definitely moving to the stage though. I loved her Sunchaser collection, playing with Adventurers for a special trip from last summer, and purchased the majority of Set Sail, but haven't touched it yet. I think she's likely my future. I've just learned I'm a very simple stamper. I buy her classes and watch, and love recreating what she does, but it just doesn't click for me.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I do alot of hybrid. I have started doing most of my journaling in a hybrid kind of way. Also, about 2 years ago I started making 8.5x11 "highlights" pages. Several a month. Usually use some digital papers, templates, journaling and drop the most special photos in my printing queue (I print a couple times a year) for the year on a couple pages, then name them with chronological scheme plus key people/words. I also tend to do a look back page of something from the past that the current stuff is putting in perspective or a new look, or just a sentimental reminisce. At some point I'll upload them all and make a photobook or 3 lol They only take a few minutes while I have PSE up, and the photos loaded, edited and most of the journaling done. I don't use the same journaling as I use in my scrapbooks. I consider the (eventual) photobook to be something I will gift to family. Almost like massive Christmas Card Letter, if that makes sense. Someday I'll know what I'm doing with it Haha!! But it is all digital.

Even though I'm still working on finishing up PL 2023, I'm thinking that my 2024 year will be similar to last year. -12x12 weekly layouts, with 9x12 page protectors mixed in -not currently subscribed to any kit as I canceled my SC DK kit - I'd like to find a monthly kit to subscribe to, but not sure which one

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? I do monthly 2-page spreads with pocket pages, occasionally a full photo in between. I'm a retired empty-nester, so monthly spreads are sufficient.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? YesWhat size will you be working in? 9x12So you subscribe to any kits? YesAny favorite companies? I've subscribed to Elle's Studio for several years. Also, I just re-subscribed to Ali Edwards this year after she got rid of the 6x8 pages and junk 3x4 stamps. Studio Calico is also a fave, but I cancelled my sub when I went back to AE.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? Not often

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Weekly
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Hybrid
What size will you be working in? 6x8. I’m terrified and excited
So you subscribe to any kits?im on the DTs for citrus twist, Sahin designs, memory pockets monthly, syncopation designs. I’m going to use them and my Ali and paper person stash
Any favorite companies? I love them all. I really like cards that have prompts. Those are some of my fav from all those companies
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? All the time. I love printing journal cards
I just did week one and love it. I used the Sahin designs weekly kit and it’s got me thinking how beautiful and simple project life can be. My pictures really shine and it was fast to put together. I kind of am wondering if I should use that same kit all year but I worry I will get bored. Also I really want to use some of this stash. I have half of 2022 to finish so I could just use it for that.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Monthly Spreads
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Nope
What size will you be working in? 9x12, I think. Past albums have been 12x12, ready for smaller.
So you subscribe to any kits? I have all of 2022 SC documenter kits to use in 2024. Plus a massive stash of older cards and I get Ali's Story Kit.
Any favorite companies? Previously, SC. I don't care for the direction of the new kits, so no more PL for me after this year.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products?Nope.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? I will be doing weekly.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too?
My current plan is PL with an occasional 12x12 for highlighted events. That may change though.
What size will you be working in? 12x12 with some 12x9 mixed in
So you subscribe to any kits? Hip kits main kit not PL and Elle’s Studio. I think I’ll mainly use Elle’s studio and things from my stash. I also got Jess foresters class from SCT and will use though pages. Any favorite companies? I like the simplify of Elle’s studios. Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I’ll probably use some of the Elle’s studios digital cards along the way. Mainly for journaling as I hope to type it up this year.

Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Mainly pocket pages with a insert photo here and there.
What size will you be working in? 6x12
So you subscribe to any kits? Yes, continuing my AE subscription. Hoping I can use all the velum in the kit.
Any favorite companies? Nope. I just stick to AE.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I like to print my journaling, but that's the closest I get to hybrid.
This will be my 6th year working on Project Life.

Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? 1 page per week usually, thought I will add on additional smaller pages if I feel like it.
Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? I like to always start with pocket pages, but will add in standalone regular pages as I feel like it.
What size will you be working in? 12x12 for main pages, but I do like adding in smaller sizes if I have overflow.
So you subscribe to any kits? Not currently, maybe I will later in the year if I make a significant dent in my card stash.
Any favorite companies? I feel so out of the loop. I do like the SC and IACB stuff I have a lot.
Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? Ehhhhh once in a blue moon I print out digital cards but I prefer physical product.
Ok, now it's confession time.
I first started doing PL in 2018. I have worked on it every year since. I have never once completed a year. I get more and more done each year and enjoy it more and more each year which is why I keep trying. Last year was my best year yet but I am still not quite halfway? I initially started out doing two pages per week. For some older years I had already pivoted to monthly spreads. The last several years have been one page per week. I am not giving up yet, 2018 is a good natural split point in my life so I am happy focusing on that year forward for now, and maybe one day going back farther. I am still convinced I can get all those albums 2018-current to a point where I am content, if not fully completed this year than at least I should be able to make major progress. I believe in myself. This is my year!

I happened to watch Kasha Gage's flip through of the second half of her 2023 PL. She was pretty blunt with her struggles with the project, PL has typically been her favorite. Without naming names she talked about lack of products to support her documenting PL and it was so much work to get products to work for her. She also mentioned "petty, unprofessional" behavior in the scrapbook community has really made it hard for her. She and Krystal are good friends, I wonder if Krystal felt the same (in addition to the new job). So super nosy me, is all curious about what the heck happened.

And 2023 was the worst year by far - I only finished one double page spread. I am determined to finally finish a year this year. Mind you, I've said that every year since my first unfinished year in 2009, so...... OMG I love it! I've been doing some form of pocket pages "PL" documenting since Simple Stories came out with Snap Albums, or October Afternoon had the Daily collections.. Can't remember which was first. Not sure when it started, but likely similar to when you did Very few of those albums are complete, and the ones that are, I know there are some places I just put a pretty filler card in a few places and called it done They all are further advanced in the process than your 2023 hahaha but then again, maybe that one double page spread covers the essence of the year! I tend to pull the previous year's albums every time I pull the current year's album out to work on it. So, when my AE kit for Jan gets here, I'll use what I want in places in my 2024 album (sometimes I love something and just put it in a page later in the album because I know I'll want to use it and if I put it back in the envelope, I'll forget, and I won't. So if there are left over "January" items, I'll check 2023 and sometimes even 2022 to see if there are any holes that those items may be perfect for. And I just keep doing that all year. Usually the previous year is fresh enough in my mind, and I'll flip through to see if anything stands out. It helps me to fill anything I may have just not had the right thing for in the past. And, every now and then, I'll pull out Jan 2018 as well, because that was the last time January 1 was on a Monday. Plus, if the product is spread out 5 years apart, it won't feel as repetitive, if that makes sense. Sooooooo having lots of unfinished albums can be a ton of fun!

I think this will be my first time following along in this thread. They usually overwhelm me due to the size they get, but I figured if I'm here at the start of it and keep up with it, it might be okay! I'm going to try. Will you be doing weekly? Monthly? Monthly Do you do a hybrid style where you scrapbook but via pockets with full page layouts too? Hybrid - the monthly pocket layouts are to capture smaller moments that don't need a full page and otherwise wouldn't be included. What size will you be working in? 12x12 is my go-to size for traditional scrapbooking so using 12x12 pockets works well. I have "base pages" created for each month from a previous SCT class taught by Jess Forster so I'm hoping that will make it easier for me as I tend to struggle with pocket scrapbooking. So you subscribe to any kits? No. I think if I can make it through 2024 using the premade pocket pages and I don't abandon it before then (entirely possible!), I could see getting a monthly kit next year. I like the idea of each month being different instead of the same color scheme all month. My scrapbooks are a mishmash of supplies on any given page so having the monthly pages be coordinating might bother me. Time will tell. Any favorite companies? For PL specifically - no. Otherwise I'd say Simple Stories, Pinkfresh Studio and Shimelle/Vicki Boutin collections. Do you do any hybrid pages where you use digital products? I haven't in the past. I have a couple Syncopation Design digital collections that I'm interested in trying to incorporate but that might end up waiting until next year due to the whole "coordinating" thing mentioned above.

What does everyone mean when they answer, scrapbook monthly? Is that one page per month and it’s a summary? For me this means that my PL spreads are organized monthly. Instead of allocating it per week, I do one monthly "spread" that may be anywhere from 1-4 page protectors (or more) of content depending on how many photos and stories I have to tell. In my case, I still love traditional 12x12 layouts so I will supplement these spreads with other layouts. Essentially I just use it to capture all the things that might happen in a month that aren't going to get a regular layout and the amount of pockets that I do varies greatly depending on what's been happening that month.
