Great cards everyone! I love the Spellbinders ones especially. The ink blended background on that one is beautiful. What colours did they use? Distress twisted citron, peacock feathers and lucky clover. The blue was a watercolor technique using faded jeans

lokismom , yes, she was a little over the top yesterday. I usually like TE products, but am not a fan of these. mcjunkin - hope you stay safe from Helene, and hope your power comes back soon. I'm north of you in Maryland but am not supposed to get much, just rain, for a week. Thanks MDscrapaholic! We are hearing that power may be midweek. Our co-op is 90% offline and main transmission lines are bad. It has been something else. Luckily no trees on houses for me and mine, but massive trees down. We walked the mile through downed trees to check on my husband’s shop, grabbed the chainsaw and cut our way back out, cutting 19 trees up in about half a mile’s distance. We only cut enough to get a tiny vehicle in and out. It is unbelievable. So goes my crafty weekend…..but still so thankful that I will not complain. There have been many fatalities from trees on houses around here. We just never get this kind of wind.

Thank goodness for replays. Stay safe!

Yesterday was a long, but fun, day. Messy! Between Crafter's Companion Duet inks and Simon's Astro Paste...I spent a lot of time cleaning up! Spellbinders - lots of little fiddley pieces. I'm learning this is my least favorite was to make cards. Simon Hurley for Ranger - lots of messy fun! I can see myself using the penguin and sentiment stamps a lot. Today is Gina K, Honey Bee Stamps, Stamps of Life and Brutus Monroe. Hope to do them all. How's everyone else holding up? marg - hope your cataract surgery went well! kitbop? Are you finding time to join this? mem186? How's your first time doing Crop & Create?

Spellbinders - lots of little fiddley pieces. I'm learning this is my least favorite was to make cards. I know they were fiddle-y, but they were easier than the SB.com ones IMO, and wow are they pretty! I LOVE how the background on your Simon Hurley card turned out where we inked the stencil. Mine's too dark. I've finished all the cards thus far My least favourite so far is the watercoloured rose. I struggled to paint that thing, and then when I splattered gold mist on it at the very end I made a mess not just one time - FIVE times. Kept having to wipe it off, use black copic to help cover the mess, then try again. Prior to the event, I decided to skip 1) crafters companion 2) stamps of life 3) picket fence. Then I decided to try the crafters companion and while my ink cubes did NOT split like hers did - and I notice yours didn't split much either MDscrapaholic ? (probably an issue with small ink cubes. it's not "user error". I've done plenty of work with inks and watercolours) But the cards still turned out to be pretty and I'm glad I did it. Then last night I decided to prep for Stamps of Life with different sentiments (UGH! I don't like the sentiment "happy spring" at all) but I really don't like the colours included. But it's ready to go. If I had more time, I'd figure out better colours. Picket Fence? We'll see if I prep later tonight. I'm really not a fan of people on my cards, nor that semi-realistic paper. Off to morning welcome party!!

The one thing I really dislike about Taylors "lives" is that lady who screams in the background. I don't know why but it really really bothers me. I have a ton of pieces left for more Spellbinders cards but I was over die cutting tiny pieces together by the end of that class. This on both accounts. When I watch a TE video I fast forward though it because of this. Spellbinders cards are really cute, but die cutting and gluing all those teeny-tiny pieces frustrates me. And I like detail work!

Is anyone ordering the LDRS bundle for the rest of the coordinating products for our kit? I looked yesterday and it's about $83 with the discount code. I'm on the fence.

I enjoyed the MFT class on replay tonight. The pace was good so I finished all 3 cards. My favorite is the fancy fold.

Good morning Peas, we're in the home stretch! How is everyone holding up? I was tired yesterday, so skipped Stamps of Life, but did the other three classes. Did not watch Catherine and Meghan do the Altenew, I'll attempt that tomorrow or Tuesday. I was disappointed because the ink pad I received for the BM class was not three defined colors, the red ran into the orange/yellow part and basically made it a red ink pad. I used Distress Oxides to do the cards and that worked out fine. Boy, does Christopher Alan like to chat!.... I agree with marie , the MFT cards were easy to make and I enjoyed that class. Have some ideas to use them further. The colors/stamps of the Brutus Monroe cards are my favorite, and I know I'll get a lot of use out of those. GinaK as always, a good way to start the day. Brutus Monroe "Look for Me in the Leaves" set My Favorite Things set Gina K Designs - didn't get the third one done. Today is Cathy Z, Honey Bee Stamps, Picket Fence and Hero Arts. Not interested in Picket Fence but may attempt just to see what it's all about. Hoping everyone has a great day!

MDscrapaholic, your cards are beautiful! Great job! I had a lot to do on Friday, so I didn't get a chance to take any classes. Yesterday I worked on Friday's classes. I made a card from the Olo make and take, I finished the Crafter's Companion class. Those cards are not my favorite. My inks didn't "bloom" and it just looks like I smudged the stencil, and I finished one card from Spellbinders. I am loving that class and hope I can finish it tonight. Today I have plans with non-crafty friends so no time to create and tomorrow I have to pack everything up to start on the Pinkfresh Event next week. So many crafty things, so little crafty time. Enjoy your day, everyone!

Thanks for posting your cards marie, MDscrapaholic, and pinklady, such beautiful cards! I finished day 1 yesterday and had so much fun. I am trying to take every single class in order and completing because I know I won't go back to the ones that aren't my style. Pink and Main was so fun, I liked the shaker card clear envelopes, so pretty. The extra cards she showed were so pretty. I love the folded, pop up card from Scrapbook.com. I used to be obsessed with different folds. I need to incorporate this into my cards. It looked complicated but was so easy! My Taylored Expressions cards didn't turn out nice. I need a different color combo. However, the bonus cards she showed were pretty. I'll need to redo the colors. TE cards are usually so easy to put together but I had the hardest time lining up the stencil with the middle greeting. Lawn Fawn class was a blast. I used the rainbow colors. I will definitely copy this combo for future cards. On to Day 2 to catch up.

Here are my cards from the Honeybee class. I didn't have time to watch the homework video so used the wrong color cardstock for the hutch. It looked like dark green in the book so I decided to just use what I cut out. Those door knobs were tough! What did everyone think about the weekend? I enjoyed the classes I did and will continue to work my way slowly through them. I know I said these big events are overwhelming but of course I'm waffling on the spring event! Lol

Whew. What a ride. I'm glad it's over - 4 two-hour classes a day over four days was a LOT! My cards from yesterday - I didn't finish the Hoosier hutch from Honey Bee and hope to work on that today. Same with Hero Arts. Didn't get a one done. I did love Cathy Z's cards for Concord & 9th, and am definitely going to sign up for their event in February. Registration for that opens October 17th. Cathy Z's cards - love the middle card, want to try making it with different color schemes. It kinda has a folk art feeling to it. Kelley Kohout for Honey Bee Stamps - loved these too! How did everyone else do? I'm undecided about signing up for the March event. Registration opens tomorrow!

Lovely cards MDscrapaholic ! I like the descriptions for the March event but these big events are a lot for me as I can't set aside the whole day to craft. It takes me a couple weeks to finish the box. But SCT does a great job with their events and I do think the value is there. I'm going to need to think about it. I really wanted to do the Pinkfresh event with masculine cards and that is also in March.

I’ll recap my thoughts and upload more pics later, I’m just too exhausted right now but overall I had a great time. I needed this creative time to myself.
I was thinking I’d skip the March event but the descriptions drew me in. I also like that it’s back to 3 days.
I’m skipping Pink Fresh in February but reserve the right to change my mind if the peeks blow me away. I’m definitely in for the Concord & 9th Winter Retreat. And I’m probably in for the 1 day SCT / Jennifer McGuire class.

marie , I think I am going to skip the spring event. The line up is the same people, the one I'd be interested in is the Quads by TE, but lately, I haven't liked their stuff in the C&CD boxes. pinklady , I'm in for the Concord & 9th event - it'll be my first one. I really like everything I've received from them in the C&CD boxes, and I especially like the recent Kristina Werner release. As I do more of these "events" I'm kinda learning what I like and what I don't like. Crop & Create Delivered is definitely a great value. I'm just getting to the point where I have too much stuff and don't use enough of it. I'll probably have FOMO, but I'm willing to risk it to try others. Here's my Hoosier cabinet card from Honey Bee stamps! Definitely a lot of work, but so cute!!

My weekend didn't go as planned so I have finished none of the classes. I am ok with that. I will work on the Saturday/Sunday classes with friends in a couple of weeks. The rest I will work on over time. I am signing up for March. I have at least one friend also signing up and we are making plans to be together that weekend. We keep looking at the other companies that also hold "virtual" events but feel that SCT is the better value. I also want to sign up for SCT one day event in February.

I enjoyed the event. This is the third Crop and Create Delivered cardmaking event I've done (I've also done some of their in person events before the pandemic). I'm happy they are switching to 3 days since I can never manage to do more than 2 or maybe 3 days live due to work. For this one, I still have 7/16 classes to do later on (but have already made 30 cards). It is good value for $, especially as a Canadian (reasonable shipping cost), and will be a bit cheaper as a shorter event. Since I still have quite a few classes to do and I don't want to keep accumulating stuff way faster than I can ever use it, I'm not going to sign up for another one until next year. But I might do the one day event in February depending what it is.

I have to say that while I was initially disappointed with the box for event, I really really enjoyed it. I didn't feel as rushed as I usually do but I made a conscious effort to not stress about making the 6:30am classes live. I think that made a huge difference in the overall vibe of the weekend for me. I didn't plan to take the Crafter Companion or Picket Fence classes but I may go back and watch them at some point this week. I didn't get to the Concord & 9th class yet but I'm all prepped for it. I can't take Cathy Z live, I need to be able to fast forward thru her initial ridiculousness and watch the replay at 1.5 speed. I also didn't make it to the Stamps of Life class. I have some cards prepped with different papers, so I want to finish those. Someone posted a cute pink halloween paper themed card so that enabled me to order way to many 6x6 paper pads. I have my Lawn Fawn cards mostly complete but not assembled and watch some of the class but I haven't finished those yet either. I was watching parts on replay and realized I stenciled the 3 string lights on regular white cardstock instead of the gold splatter cardstock that was provided. I want to redo that because that gold splatter is beautiful. My cheap Amazon alcohol markers have bit the dust so I colored with my ancient Stampin Up markers. Those suckers are 20+ years old and a few of them are dried out too. I think my favorite classes were MFT, Taylored Expressions and Hero Arts. I just really loved the products and cards. In the 6 C&CD events I've attended, this was the first time I've ever taken the Brutus Monroe classes. I really liked the look of the cards and the products. The ink pad was great for card #3. I really liked that fall color scheme in both BM and HA classes. I was bummed that the Honey Bee class was half hour short. That was a poor decision on SCTs part. All of the classes, even if it was MFT in that time slot should have been given 2 hours. I was not able to finish my cabinet card but I plan to finish that and make a few more. My BFF collects vintage pyrex so I want to make her a cabinet shaped card with blue color dishes. I really liked the Jennifer McGuire card where she used the black in on the flat side of the embossing folder. I want to replicate that. I just got 2 new Tim Holtz brayers and they work soooooo much better than my old one that was starting to crack. While Jennifer's video was much better than last time, I wasn't all that inspired. Maybe I need to watch it again. Overall, it was totally worth it. I really needed this alone time in my craft room. I'm probably going to sign up for the March event but haven't pulled that trigger yet. Anyways, here are the rest of my completed cards.
