Here's my Hoosier cabinet card from Honey Bee stamps! Definitely a lot of work, but so cute!! It is terribly cute: I added white nuvo drops to all the cabinet handles and that adds a lovely touch. I struggled with painting in the LDRS class - I thought the class was good but she moved so quickly, and I struggled to see what leaves should be light and which areas would be dark. However, I enjoyed the challenge, and realize watercolour takes a lot of practice that I'll probably never give it! The bonus card, the black embossed image with gold on top? So lovely, so quick! I am on the fence about March. I love having a big stash of cards to give away, and I struggle to make cards outside of classes. And it is a good value weekend. But I'm not sure I have room for more supplies and should be reusing what I already own! I've left my box open beside my desk, and have challenged myself to make 25 more cards - just tweaking the designs we were given in class to suit myself.

My weekend didn't go as planned so I have finished none of the classes. I am ok with that. I will work on the Saturday/Sunday classes with friends in a couple of weeks. The rest I will work on over time. I am signing up for March. I have at least one friend also signing up and we are making plans to be together that weekend. We keep looking at the other companies that also hold "virtual" events but feel that SCT is the better value. I also want to sign up for SCT one day event in February. I worked on the spring items at a weekend retreat earlier this year. From what they saw, five of my friends signed up for this fall event. We are working on our unfinished classes together at our November retreat. I love the value of the SCT events. They have also helped me cut back on my other shopping.

I signed up for March. I do like the SCT events. I still have hw and classes to do for this one, but honestly, I like most all of the cards posted. It also gets me out of my cardmaking box.

That Baking Spirits Bright wreath is just fabulous! Love it and hope to see the set for sale (used) sometime in the future. I also like the penguin cards, is that a Simon Hurley product? Too cute! I was thinking the same thing--my two fav's were the Baking Spirits Bright and the penguin cards you ladies have shared. But all your cards look amazing. Just thinking that I would have had the most fun with those two kits.

Thanks for the good vibes, everyone! My surgery went well, but I had both eyes done at once so my computer and crafting time was very limited all weekend! I had no idea recovery would be so annoying - I made one card in Gina's class and then my eyes had enough, and I made 1 card from C&9 and 1 card from Honey Bee. I really thought I would be right back in the swing of things a few days after surgery, but nope - I got mono vision (one eye for distance, one for near) so my brain has been attempting to get used to it and it's made looking at the computer not fun!
I'm just catching up on this thread today, looking forward to reading about everyone's experiences this year.

Glad you are back marg, hope you have a speedy recovery! I actually finished all 16 classes and the mini Altenew class. Made 55 cards in total. Here is a link to the cards I made, photos aren't great: pin.it/4FwDjSgfZThe only cards I haven't done are Jennifer McGuire's cards in her inspiration video and one of LDRS bonus cards. Those were gorgeous and maybe one day I'll work on those. I wish she taught the class live, she is a wonderful instructor. Glad I tried all the classes, even the ones I didn't think I would like. I am sure someone I know will like them. I loved all the ink blending, die cutting, and folding classes. I tried but I am just not a fan of mixed media and pastes, it's too messy for me but it does give a very pretty look. Overall, that was a really fantastic event. I signed up for the March event since I know they always put on a great event. Now I need to go and finish last year's fall event before the March event.

Yesterday was a long, but fun, day. Messy! Between Crafter's Companion Duet inks and Simon's Astro Paste...I spent a lot of time cleaning up! Spellbinders - lots of little fiddley pieces. I'm learning this is my least favorite was to make cards. Simon Hurley for Ranger - lots of messy fun! I can see myself using the penguin and sentiment stamps a lot. Today is Gina K, Honey Bee Stamps, Stamps of Life and Brutus Monroe. Hope to do them all. How's everyone else holding up? marg - hope your cataract surgery went well! kitbop ? Are you finding time to join this? mem186 ? How's your first time doing Crop & Create? Thank you for following up and asking!!
Your cards look beautiful!! I wasn't able to participate live because I had family come in from out of town which was wonderful of course! I started the day after the event and I still have to do the Altenew mini class and the Brutus Monroe class because I'm waiting for the extra class kit, which I accidentally ordered with the pre-order of the extra rub-on set. I didn't love the Stamps of Life class, though Stephanie was fun, so I only created one of her cards. And I didn't complete the Picket Fence Studios class because her teaching style felt so frantic, how she would stop what she was saying to read and answer questions. I did the first card just from the instructions.
I don't know how people were able to keep up LIVE though!! I'm impressed! I've done so much pausing and taking my time! I loved this whole thing though and I signed up for the March event!

Hello all. Love seeing all the pretty cards!
I lost power for several days with Helene during the live classes , and had no internet when power came back up. Once I got both those back, I got called up to help run a laundry trailer for Disaster Relief, as a lot of our area was without power for two weeks. After that, the trailer has moved to an evacuation shelter and been running there. So busy, busy, busy. I think I jinxed myself by paying for the retreat, LOL. I still am not complaining though, because about 40 minutes from me, Westenrn NC is heartbreaking . I still have a home, although I have not been here much, and all my people stayed safe.
Anyways, I have worked through a few things here and there.
Random thoughts: Lawn Fawn in traditional Christmas colors. Still don't like/not good at coloring, but the mice were minimal so I think it worked. And they are cute. Did not love the light stencil like I thought I would, but suprised at how much I ended up likeing the mice and stamped lights. And the die cut. First thought was ewwww when I saw the sneak, but I think I really like the be Merry. Taylored Expressions with diff colors, and I liked them more than I thought I would. I am a stencil fan, so no surprises there. I finished all three of Cathy Z/Concord and 9th. Used their colors. Not my fave colors, my brain was too fried to look for alternatives, but suprisingly, don't hate them. Love that cupcake. Finished Brutus Monroe. I thought they would be some of my favorites, but I decided I do not like rub ons. And his ink was a disaster. My pad was opposite his, as some of the commenters said as well, and all my color was basically the same mixed orange funk. But I did hear him say on the video it should not have been stored on its side, which mine was in a mesh bag. Product fail. Also thinking that the card designs should not have been based on rub-ons that were limited release. Yes, I get buying more product. But those will not be available anymore after he sells what he ordered, so what is the strategy there? He was not even going to offer those, but did last minute. I love the stamps and dies , though, and will use them some more.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Honey Bee dies. Have no clue what i will use them for as I don't know a lot of bakers, but inking, stenciling and glueing the little pieces has been cathartic in all my Helene chaos, and they are so cute. Bummed that the wreath is not a stamp, but some of that paper will be available for purchase. For now, I have copied it onto cardstock in my inkjet printer/copier. Sssshhhhhhhhh.
I am going back and forth on March. This was my first Crop and Create. I feel guilty signing up for another one, since I have done so little of this one. But I really intended on doing most of it real time and had prepped most of the classes. Mother Nature had other plans. It has pushed me already, as I am finding things I like that I did not think I would. And the prep and lead up, meet and greet videos, etc has been fun. I can see being burned out after doing a few, but I am not yet after just this one. I like the class descriptions for March. Will prob end up sighing up. Hoepefully I will find the time to post pics on the near futur.

Wow, mcjunkin, what a whirlwind! I'm sorry you had Helene to deal with, it sounds like a really difficult time. I hope the card classes were able to bring you some joy and a nice break from it all. I've still only done the few cards that I did that weekend, my eyes are still trying to adjust to my surgery so I haven't really been able to do much - I'll be joining you in finishing up, soon enough, though! I signed up for the March event because I personally find that the event really gives me something to look forward to, and it does always recharge my creativity. Unfortunately life does get in the way, but I eventually do all the classes. They're great to reach for when I just don't know what I want to make. Thanks for the warning about the Brutus Monroe ink pad - mine has been on its side this entire time, so I'll beware when I do the class.

Ok, ladies, please help me out.
I've been crazy busy and I've only done a couple classes. Defective products need to be reported by Oct 31st. I've checked and I'm not missing anything, but I've got stuff going on and don't have the time to check every kit for defects. So, did any of you have any defective products? If so, which ones and I'll check those. Thanks in advance.
I'm just gonna say that I absolutely love the color combo for the P&M kit (I'm using GinaK inks, but similar colors). I might use that combo for the TE cards. And I love that the P&M papers are loose. Can you tell which class I started with? haha

She did mention during the live, that if you had trouble stamping the entire image in your stamping platform, to stamp it by first inking the stamp, and then pressing the paper into the stamp and gently smoothing it on the back, making sure you don't move the paper. I did that and it worked for me. I do have trouble sometimes stamping the larger stamps in my TH platform, so I'm keeping this in mind.

Thank you marg, pinklady and @mdscrapoaholic. I did a search on the group FB page for "defective" and came up with a few items to check.
