Hold on to your wallets ladies! The Stamp Market is holding a virtual event on Sep 21 & 22! I’m in! This is not a Christmas themed event either!! Here's a link to the details: thestampmarket.com/blogs/cardmaking/ink-inspired-online-event-deetsIt's 6 classes with Amy & Carissa teaching. Registration is $240 but $225 if you register before April 12th. It says exclusive stamps, dies, stencils & more but it doesn't list out the kit contents by class. Does anyone else get the feeling we may not get separate products for each class? I guess it's the big disclaimer about not comparing events that makes me think that. And $225 is a heck of a lot cheaper than I expected. http://instagram.com/p/C3Ne-cULjUk

Sigh. My wallet is hurting this year. I was blissfully unaware of my spending until you got me to total my 2023 purchases. I was still ok with the total until I divided it by 12. That’s a lot of money per month! 😱😂 Yet I’m still keeping the trend in 2024 😁

Wow, I love the colors. I only heard about the Stamp Market when they taught a class in Pinkfresh's event in September. Their products are beautiful.
That being said there are so many events coming up and I'm not sure if I can squeeze this one in. There's C&9th summer camp, another Pinkfresh cardmaking event in August and October. And then there's the huge SCT Card event in September.
Will have to see some sneak peeks first.

I just love The Stamp Market! I am pretty sure I’ll be signing up for this event, but I have also had quite a schedule of events this year. I am also doing Taylored Expressions Stamp Joy and the C&9 event coming up (can’t remember the name but before Summer Camp). I know that C&9 event lost some sign ups after the sneak peek but I thought the products were very useable. But I really enjoy all of the events, even the ones I can’t do “live.” It usually sparks my creativity 😄

Aw man, my freeze is not going well! I want to stay strong, but I also just love The Stamp Market. I find her designs to be a notch above a lot of other designers - just really elegant and lovely.
I'll start budgeting for it now, I guess!

I’m definitely doing one. They are my fav. That said this year is crazy. I just finished celebrations delivered. Doing pinkfresh at the end of the month, the C9 event, and virtual stamp joy. I signed up for the other act event in July. I will definitely do the pinkfresh events. Probably crop and create because of FOMO and likely summer camp. This is too many events but I also love them. I did just sell 220 items in my destash album on Facebook so it helps a little bit.

I love Amy but need to see more sneaks and more information about this to decide if I want to attend or not. No.of classes and also price point for her classes. And who are the instructors? I saw Carissa Wiley posting about this and she confirmed that she is one of the instructors. Anyone has seen any other designers posting about it to confirm if they are one of the instructors?

I'm interested but would like to see some sneak peeks before registering. I wonder what the price point will be in this. I'm curious who the instructors will be as well. I do love The Stamp Market designs but I tend to forget about them.

The event doesn't go on sale until the end of March, so hopefully we will get lots of info before then.

Yeah, I still don't feel like there's enough information to convince me to register. For me personally, I need to know the value of supplies I'm getting because the classes aren't super valuable to me. I can look at almost anything and easily recreate it on my own. I do understand, though, that the classes are very helpful to a lot of people. Maybe these events just aren't for me.

With only 2 instructors, I’m pretty sure I’m out. I want different perspectives on using her products. Particularly because there is such limited inspiration for her products overall. Bummer. But, I’ll be excited to hear about it from y’all!

I was on the fence but now I am leaning towards not signing up. The statement below makes me super skeptical for the amount of products we will receive in a kit. At least that's how I interpret it. And it's just her and Carissa doing all 6 classes. This makes it very limited.
SCT events are big and not even comparable to any other events for the no. of products. But if C9 and Pinkfresh can offer enough products to make the price reasonable then Stamp market could do it too. C9 and Pinkfresh also have alot of instructors in their events and that makes it attractive for most people.
This is what she says in the post.
We know that it can be tempting to compare smaller events to larger ones, especially when it comes to pricing. But there's something important to keep in mind - the scale and logistics of these events are vastly different. When you participate in a larger event, you may notice that the prices seem too good to be true - so much product for such a great price. That's because the businesses involved provide their products at cost and donate their time and additional resources to make it happen. It's a collaborative effort that allows for incredible deals and experiences. It's a beautiful thing to provide to the crafting community.
PS...I hope I am wrong and she does include enough product to make the price reasonable. I love her products and would still support her if the kit price is justified.

This particular statement seems to be directed at SCT events may be.

This particular stament seems to be directed at SCT events may be. Which she used to participate in, but no longer does, iirc. So, isn't she also kind of saying that she decided to stop offering her products at cost and donating her time? Which is fine, I guess, but reminding potential customers that you used to be more generous than you are now seems like an odd marketing strategy....

Shatki, you nailed it!!! What an odd thing for her to say. I suspect there will be a very limited amount of product in the box that will be mixed and match for all six cards. Although it did say that colored cardstock would be included. My guess is the CS will be cut down to size. I think I'm going to pass on this one.

I'm going to wait with signing up. I want to see as much of the sneaks I can.
Its interesting that she has a disclaimer about small vs big events on the blog and in this its jam packed. Now which one is it?

I think she reads here. It can not be a coincidence that she posts that note about 'jam packed kit' at the same time we are discussing possibility of less kit products here.

That was my first thought as well. I also think she needs to plan (and edit) her posts ahead of time so that they sound a little more professional. But maybe that's just me.

I'm signed for the August PF event, and will sign up for their hot foil event too and Crop & Create sign ups are this week as well, so I most definitely need some quality sneaks to push me into signing up for TSM event.

Their disclaimer is off putting. A warning that we’ll likely be disappointed with the kit contents is not an enticing pitch. I’m going to wait for sneaks to decide. I definitely need to know what products are included (particularly since their March 9th event kit seemed light on products relative to the price + shipping).
I’m not surprised that various companies read the boards here- it’s like a free focus group.

I am very interested in this event, but I didn't like the disclaimer she wrote, at all. What's the purpose behind saying anything like that? To let us know in advance that we won't get a lot of product? But shouldn't we get minimal product in the SCT event kits then, since they're all selling at cost and "donating" their class time - so wouldn't the companies all be more frugal and budget-conscious, rather than generous, if there's nothing in it for them? Also, they're not "donating" their time and resources for the classes, they're marketing. But even so, why do the majority of the companies keep going back to SCT if they're not making a dime off of it? It can't be purely for marketing reasons, because you think they would drop out after one or two events in that case, since the audience is pretty much the same from event to event. So the incentive must be there, they don't put that much work into it, 6 months to a year in advance, out of the goodness of their hearts. I suspect the volume discount they get from the manufacturers for the large quantities they order makes a difference for them - they can keep a bit of profit and still sell at their usual cost (minus any volume discount). But who knows. From what I recall working retail, the cost price was usually before any kind of volume or early payment discount. Anyway, I do love TSM's aesthetic and will sign up if the value is there. I just wish that Amy would use more designers for the inspiration part of her business, 2 people on the design team is simply not enough. It's almost impossible to find some of her products even used in any way at all. MichyM - I agree with your last post.
