Thanks, nicoleq ! I wouldn't miss my kid's events for anything, but was more wondering how early I wanted to get up and moving on Sunday 🤣

I’m meeting up with some friends on Sunday and four of us are doing it together. We are trying to get through as many of the classes as we can in that day and do the rest on our own. Given that Amy said each class is about 1 1/2 if we don’t take a ton of breaks we might be able to do it all

How is everyone liking the event so far? I'm liking the pace. I've been able to create both cards for each class. I don't know why but I forgot to stamp my black images for class #2 when I did the homework weeks ago so my images smeared a bit when I started using the stencils even after heat setting. I think next time I will heat emboss the images instead. I really like the striped card from class #1 but I want to make another and play around with the assembly. Here are my cards:

Those look great pinklady! I too am loving the laid-back pace. It is a beautiful late summer day here, 70-ish degrees and sunny and I just got back from a long walk after Carissa’s class. Today has been the most *chill* card making event day I’ve ever had.

I am really enjoying this event. I don't feel rushed and I like the projects. Well worth the money to me. Looking forward to today.

Alright, ready for day 2. Just curious, do you all use this much foam tape when you create cards? I like dimension but I'll usually build up layers with cardstock. I've never in my life used so much foam tape on my cards!

I use a lot of foam tape on my cards, but I think that first card broke a foam tape record.

OMG, the foam tape! I swear I had a nightmare about it last night. I am a "build up with CS layers" as well.

BTW, anyone have a heck of a time getting the stencil layers to line up on the rainbow birthday card? Mine looks like $#(*&@). I clearly need to take more time with it the next time I use it!

I started out with a 6x6 piece of cardstock but after I cut it A2 size I had to trim the top and bottom to get a clean edge. Then I had to cut it in half and take out about half an inch out of the middle and then piece it to the green wave die cut. I have about an 1/16" white border on the top and bottom. I'll post a picture later today.

What a great event. I cannot put my finger on exactly why but this event had such a good calm vibe. I am extremely happy with everything from the product, classes, pace, all of it. I hope TSM has more events like this. I watched the last class but didn't make any tags, they are just not my thing. And I'm pretty tired. Here are the cards from classes 3, 4 and 5. I still have an other in progress card from class 5 and a ton of leftover pieces.

I throughly enjoyed the event as well. The pace was good and I opted for a little bit more foam tape than I usually use but not as much as the samples! lol. I mail most of my cards so I had to draw a line somewhere. I will definitely sign up for another event if they have other ones.

MichyM about the stencil, were you able to line your first stencil up with the A2 guide marks on the stencil? I did that and the other layers were way to line up with what had already been stenciled.

Loved the event! I thought the value was amazing! Great cards and projects, chill vibe. Loved the time in between classes. The products are something I would buy and use again and again. Very well done, TSM! I will definitely do another! I’m really happy with it!

Love the cards, ladies. Thanks for sharing them. I’m so sorry I missed this event. I won’t miss the next one!
Are the products exclusive to the event?

I loved the event, too. It was very chill. The pace was great, the long breaks were appreciated - all in one, one of my favorites.
I made about half of the cards, so I'm pleased. I will continue to work away at them after Crop & Create. I'm looking forward to making the bonus cards, too.
The candle card is my favorite so far, but I really like them all.

MichyM about the stencil, were you able to line your first stencil up with the A2 guide marks on the stencil? I did that and the other layers were way to line up with what had already been stenciled. I was. I’m going to use it again today and use my eyes to line up rather than those marks and see if it makes a difference. I really want to add some sparkle to stencils 3 and 4!

I agree with you all about the pace of classes. Those longs breaks were terrific, enough time to take a 3 mile walk, play with my kitties (they expect and come find me for mid-day playtime if I’m at home), to catch up (fell terribly behind in class 5), and the like. I was thinking back to when I used to do C&CD with their 15 minutes between classes and it’s clear to me why I found them frenetic and not for me.
I also just listened to the last class while I finished up other projects. Gift tags aren’t my thing, nor is popping them onto a regular card. If anyone plays with those supplies in different ways I’d LOVE to see what you do.
Other than being startled (not necessarily in a good way) by some of Amy’s comments, this event was right up my alley. I’m glad I was able to join in at the 11th hour.

Other than being startled (not necessarily in a good way) by some of Amy’s comments Just curious, was this in the last class when she went off on her rant about buying from AE and Temu? No, I must have missed that. It was a couple of mentions about how much time is spent on CS. My impression from the way she spoke was that she (may) find that customer service/keeping customers happy is problematic. That said, I want to be crystal clear that I appreciated how easy she/they made it for me to get signed up for the event. VERY APPRECIATED. In that last class she maligned the price of a product that a lot of us use (from different manufacturer). While she was saying what she was saying my thought was "the same could be said about your products." It was clear that as the words came out of her mouth that she realized what she was saying and quickly covered herself by then talking about how good the product is and how worth it it is. <----- and I've done the same (some times my mouth works faster than my brain), but not with 200+ of my very best customers watching, KWIM?
