About 20 minutes from our house. It’s not a big store but there is so much in there, the newest stuff and they will special order anything. It’s just over a year since they opened.
I’ve been ordering online for years but it sure nice to go see actual product before buying it.

Like 4 hours away 😞 It’s a nice store with a lot of good stuff. When we’re in the area or passing through, I always make a point to stop in and shop.
I remember being in Phoenix for a work trip in maybe 2006 or so. I went to probably 10 different stores over the course of my trip. It was so fun. Scrapbooks, Etc. (I think was the name?) and Scrapbook Barn were my two favorites. I bought some class and layout kits and had the best time making those when I got home.

one hour plane ride 😂 it's very light on new product though, and carries mostly brands that don't appeal to me. I'm happy to browse everything though and pick up staples (adhesive, stamping stuff, tools) and the odd find.

About a 90 minute drive through horrid traffic. I went once when a former scrapping buddy came for a visit, so we had a fun road trip going to the LSS and Tuesday Morning stores. I have no scrapping buddies where I live now. I have a great stash, though, so I shop my stash and buy some things online.
Edited to add: I used to live in another state. We had a great LSS only 10 minutes from where I lived. When that store closed, a paper arts store popped up about 30 minutes away. I did go shop there.
When we moved 7 years ago, I knew that I wouldn’t be close to any LSS. I decluttered most of the contents of our old home before moving, but I kept and moved my stash.

I am very fortunate to be about five miles away from Frank Garcia Studio. Love that place!! Is it worth a small side trip? I don't know why but I always thought of Upland being closer to San Bernardino, so I never mapped it out. I live about an hour and a half from his studio and it’s always worth the drive. You’ll find the latest products and a large selection of Tim Holtz, Lawn Fawn and other stamp companies. There’s always classes and a great crop room. Love going here. They also ship if you wanted to shop online.

joblackford and ScrapbookMyLife - I had a store like that near me. My sister and SIL and nieces would scrapbook there occasionally. We probably spent $300 between all of us. One employee bitched that the girls left some paper scraps on the floor. Sheesh - how long does it take to vacuum under one table? The owner never greeted anyone. Honestly, the owner's DH was the nicest person there!

There’s a stamping / die cutting store about 45 minutes away. They have some scrapbooking stuff, mostly Doodlebug, and I enjoy going there sometimes. The closest real scrapbooking store is about two hours away. Either you or another New England Pea recommended this place to me, though it's more like an hour or a little more away from me. Butterfly Reflections? Probably me. It’s a great store!

Oh how I miss having a local sb store. It was so sad to see them go. There's a really good sb store about 90 minutes away (around 80 miles) but I haven't been since before covid. I keep promising myself that I will take a day and visit them. Maybe when the weather gets a little nicer.

Ok you made me look. I did a search for scrapbook stores. Most of what popped up were places that no longer had B&M stores or places that were longer in business. I found one 90 minutes away and one just under an hour away. The closer one is Frank Garcia Studio. Might be worth the trip. Then I searched rubber stamp stores. Most of those were that that other type of rubber stamp—business use. I did find one I’d been to years ago. That one has mostly stamps of course but I remember their having a large collection. I’d forgotten about that store. It’s only 20 minutes away. Frank Garcia Studio is about 87 miles from me and I make the trek up there every other month. It is the prettiest store ever! He stocks all of the latest collections. You can also crop for the day for $25 if there is not a group event. I go with friends, shop, have lunch at Outback that’s right next door and create away the day. They will also hold your online orders for pick up to save you shipping charges. We are so lucky to still have one store in Southern California.

The one I go to the most is 41 miles away. But it is only about 5 miles from the scrapbook retreat I go to twice a year so that is usually when I go.
I recently found one that is 32 miles from me. It is tiny but had lots of the new stuff & popular lines (scrapbook & cardmaking) and an area for classes & crops. I went by there to pick up tickets for the Scrapbook Expo that will be here in March. I ended up buying several cardmaking dies I had been looking for. The owner was so nice as well.
We have another one in the area about 40 miles away but I've never been to it. It's not an area I really ever go to so just haven't made it to that store yet.
I'm in the Dallas area & we used to have tons (like many other places)...

I can't find any near me when I do a search. I'm in North Carolina. We used to have so many!
When I visited my mom in Phoenix last year, I was thrilled to find Scraps of Love in Peoria. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. I bought some 49 & Market, which I had never seen in person until then. Bought a few other things as well but didn't want to overpack my carry-on. They were super nice and told me they do flat-rate shipping, but I had to stop myself from buying at a certain point.

between 70-100 miles or 90 minutes+ for me: there's one to the west, one to the south and a stamp store to the north (the one that Shakti and KelleeM mentioned) I miss having an LSS nearby for Friday night or Saturday afternoon crops. I got so much done that way. When I first started scrapping in 2000, I had a work trip to San Diego and visited 6 stores in a Saturday!

caspad, I think you must live quite close to me. I believe I am aware of all three of those places, though I've never visited any of them. The southern one, in the quaint coastal town, is 116 to 128 miles from me, depending on route.

The closest one to me is 10 miles and it's pretty small. But the closest Michaels, JoAnns, or Hobby Lobby is 150 miles away. Heck even the closest Walmart is 80 miles away. So I'm pretty pleased with my small LSS. I spend more money there than I would at other big stores just because I want her to stay in business.

i would not be surprised if the nearest one is at least 50 miles away. that's shocking to me because i live in the los angeles area and there used to be so many LSS around. even multiples in the same city. now they are all gone. so sad. i really enjoyed shopping in an actual store and seeing the products with no color distortion from a computer.

The closest to me is 2.5 hours in Myrtle Beach. There is a newer store in Charleston, but I have no reason to go to Charleston. They are bringing their store to a NSD Crop I am going to in Columbia.

The last thing I need is more stuff, but stamping stores tend to have a ton of stuff I love using in my DD!! Added: I did a search for what you guys mentioned upthread, and it didn't show up for me.

I have a second hand craft store about 8 minutes away (visit weekly), and there is a LSS about 25 minutes away. Amazing store, but her prices are pretty high.

The closest two LSSs (scrapbook or stamp) that I'm aware of are both in small towns located ~1.5 hour drive (one way) in opposite directions from me with limited days/hours. Therefore, I shop online & miss having LSSs nearby.

If you didn’t know about the one in western Mass, which one were you calling a real scrapbook store? Papercraft Playhouse?
I haven’t stepped foot in any of them, so I don’t have any idea if the Palmer one is worthwhile for scrapbookers.

I live about 25 minutes from Butterfly Reflections, 20 minutes from a small stamp store in Dover, Stamped Designs and 50 minutes from another stamp store, Art Plus in Concord.
The store in Palmer, MA is probably the closest scrapbook store, about 2 1/2 hours away. I haven’t been since they relocated but they did have a good selection the last time I was there, 2-3 years ago.

4.4 miles. I assume it's the same one huskermom98 also goes to. huskermom98 I never asked if you ever attend crops there? They expanded into the space next door and can fit more people. They are still selling out quickly every crop.
