I don't post on this side of the board much. Are there any worth stopping at for a road trip from Southern Oregon to Seattle? Traveling 1-5. Will be a slow drive because the dogs are coming and we need to stop a lot. Would love to hit some small stores on the way. My husband can walk the dogs while I shop. 😊

5 miles. It's a Ben Franklin, but they have a pretty large scrapbook section. Although I don't do traditional scrapbooking anymore, I'm pocket scrapping and BF doesn't have those types of supplies.

I have an LSS about 45 minutes away (30 km). It's only about 20 minutes from my work but unfortunately their hours are 10-4 Wednesday to Saturday, so I never get to take advantage of them after work, I have to go on a Saturday and drive the full 45 minutes. I only go about once per year, otherwise I order online.
I'm looking for a scrapbook store near Fort Lauderdale for when I visit every summer. Years ago I had a plethora to choose from, now I can't find anything.

I don't know if they have an actual store you can shop in because I've never been there (I'm usually in that area on holidays and weekends when everything I want to go to is closed) but have ordered from what must be a gigantic warehouse many times, and the selection is amazing. Paper Emporium is in Longview (Washington) and is very small but the owner is super nice and it's not very hard to get to from the freeway. There's a bookstore in the same parking lot that is also very nice.

Last I checked the closest store to me is about 250 miles in Waxahachie, Tx. The Crafty Scrapper. Which is sad because I live outside San Antonio, and am also close to Austin, but nadda. I can’t remember if I found any in Houston. But with traffic, Houston takes longer these days, because DFW is all back roads for me. We’ll be in the Orlando area in July, are there any there? Or on the I-10 corridor between Pensacola and San Antonio?I think the closest actual scrapbook stores that I am aware of are in the Atlanta area, about 2 1/2 hours away. I'm in central Alabama near Birmingham. I've been to a couple of stores in the Atlanta area, but one of those is now closed. At one time there were at least 8 scrapbook stores within 20 miles of home or work. Do you mind sharing the name of the store? I’ll be in Atlanta in early July to see a couple of Braves games and would love to try and fit that in.

Oh, if they have a storefront I second this recommendation! My last order I even got some old BG and MME to beef up older collections.

I haven't been to EMI Scrapbooking - they are a few miles northeast of Atlanta in Cumming, GA area and it was out of our way to go there. Archivers is the store I visited several years ago that is now out of business, but it was a great store.

According to Google there's a Scrapbook Zone in Silverdale about 25 minutes from me, but I've never actually been in. Their website and store logo look like they were created in 1998 and haven't been updated since, which unfortunately doesn't fill me with hope that they'd have much product I'd be interested in. But maybe we'll stop by next time we're in the area, it could surprise me!

Actual, dedicated to scrapbooking, store? Over an hour drive.
I'm just not willing to do it. I can't budget in two hours of travel just for maybe finding supplies I want to buy.
I haven't scrapped in awhile. Haven't bought in awhile. But I know that I'd rather order online that dedicate that much time to shopping.
I do very, very much miss the days (decades ago!) when I lived in a town with several scrapbook stores within a fairly short drive. I loved that so very much.

We’ll be in the Orlando area in July, are there any there? Last time I checked, there weren't any left in Orlando. If you're taking I-10 to I-75 - wave as you pass - we're pretty close to that junction

Same here! We had so many great stores and now they’re mostly gone. Each one kind of specialized in a different style of stuff which was nice. I don’t even look in the scrapbook aisles of the chain stores anymore because none of it is name brand product and there’s never anything new. I’m so glad I hung onto so much of my old stuff. I really do need to get things better organized in my studio, maybe then I would feel more inspired to scrapbook again.

The only one I know of is about an hour away. If it were closer I would go as they seem to have a lot of classes. I do all my shopping online.

About 4 miles but I use the term "scrapbook" store lightly. It's more like a paper supplier (think cardstock, industrial paper rolls, envelopes) with an owner who wants supplies for her hobbies. Customer service is nonexistent. Hours are terrible, 9-4 weekdays only. The assortment of supplies is bizarre, half the papers, a few to none of the embellishments. Decent assortment of stamp and dies but I don't buy a ton of those. She does have an entire aisle of inks which is nice. However, she charges about 15-20% over MSRP. I don't go there often.

I don’t shop at Hobby Lobby, Joann’s is 45 minutes away without traffic and we never go that direction, and Michael’s selection is so small and limited it feels like forever since I’ve really had a chance to go browse scrapbook supplies, get a real feel for the colors and quality, and linger over my purchases. Will do That is actually something we do when we drive through the Austin area, to my family and BFF and text them as we do so!

There's a Craft Outlet in Grand Rapids which is about an hour from me but it's God awful. So really the only store I'd travel for is A Cherry on Top. It's about 1hr 15 min from me. I’ve shopped at ACOT when I stay in Michigan. It was so nice — they have a small storefront and can pull things from the warehouse. It was GREAT! Also when in Michigan, it only takes a day for shipping if I don’t want to drive up there.

Memory Bound in Ankeny IA is about 70 miles for me. They have everything in there, it seems like!!
I think Taylored Expressions has a storefront in Ankeny also, but I've not been there yet. (Taylor lives in Ankeny)

I did take Friday off work to go up with a friend, I wanted to go Thursday but she can't. I can report back on what's left, etc. Was going to be on a freeze, but I can't miss out on going to Crafts Direct one more time. So sad!

How far do you have to travel to an actual scrapbook store? I do not mean JoAnn, Michael's, or Hobby Lobby. I have one that is 50 miles away. They also have other crafts and some home decor items, but I count it as a scrapbook store as there are probably at least 10 aisles of scrapbook supplies. There is a regular scrapbook store 75 miles away. Well, I currently have the one you mentioned in your post. But last night they announced that they are closing. I’m so sad about this.
