Ah, but the patience that watercolor teaches you is that no matter how careful you are, watercolor has a way of its own and you must go with it...like a tao thing.

2 of the layouts I did during today's crop - the others still need journalling added so I'll post tomorrow - these photos are all from May 2015

Good Thursday morning, everyone. Well, at least it is still morning for me... Getting caught up with comments here, going back to Page 3: So good to see a whole set of pages in one place, AussieMeg. There is love in the Gallery. joblackford, I plan to go over to Flickr right after I finish this post to look at your cute, fun, animal cards in detail. I love your pages from the crop, Shakti! LOVE the papers you chose for those Italy photos! The fresh blues and yellows! The old world patterns! So cool. I also like that you have pic's of people AND of what they are looking at. The tree and branches overlapping the design on that one 2 pager is brilliant. WTG getting so many done. I fall apart doing duplicates: no two pages are done the same when I take them on. I will look at your cards on the card sharing board. Linda that BEE apron page is amazing. Which came first--the paper and stickers or the apron? The Joyful pages uses colour and pattern and design to come off as, well, JOYFUL! You are the queen of perfect backgrounds and details: that plaid behind the fun Share? page is the purr-fect match for the hideaway, and that happy spring paper with butterflies is the perfect match setting for that blossom photo. The same goes for how your floral page works with your own dress/top. I am suspicious that the pic of your dh with his Snoopy teeshirt will be sporting a Peanuts sticker if you could get your hands on one. Love all the kitty antics, too. breetheflea I will get to your wonderful pages on Flickr while I am there.

I have to admit, the paper collection/page kit is called "Mediterranean" and Club Scrap released it within a couple months of our trip, so the idea that I might be able to pull off completing a scrapbook project was predicated on that delightful coincidence. If I had never seen the kit, I might not have even considered making the books. My duplicates are very close to actually duplicate, but a few discrepancies did sneak in here and there....

The paper collection came first but when DH bought me the apron, I couldn't resist having a photo so I could scrap it! And yes, if I had a Snoopy sticker or stamp...but DH hoards those.

Field Trip by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Echo Park papers, Photoplay letter stickers, Simple Stories (I think) die cuts. The top corners seem kind of blank, I might add something up there later... I am low on school themed supplies, and really need someone to come out with a new, not the same old icons and colors line... Challenges checked off: well I got a #4 on there, and traveled (by school bus) so crossing those off the list.

Family Reunion by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I knocked out this one really quickly because the background paper did most of the work... and I didn't know where to put any journaling so it will go on another page from the same event. Paper Studio Our Family Tree paper. Jillibean Soup letter stickers. The 2024 is Basic Grey. I didn't realize until I started working on this one that the photo printer somehow cut off my cousin Morgan and her husband so I'm going to have to get it reprinted. Challenges marked off: machine sewing (don't look too closely, I need practice!) family gathering, group photo.

I made two pages this morning: Art Show by BreetheFlea, on Flickr Archery by BreetheFlea, on Flickr The top page I wanted to use blue print paper, so used this Carta Bella one from one of their home lines. The black grid paper is Vicky Boutin. I used a brad, then realized there aren't any challenges this quarter to use a brad, so I think the only challenge this crossed off was monochrome... The archery class page used both sides of a scrap of paper from Echo Park's Once Upon a Time line, and I had some die cuts that I have had forever and never opened the package so I'm crossing off use only scraps, use something new, and splatter. The font is Cricut Pooh marker font.

Dinosaur Bones by BreetheFlea, on Flickr The empty space on the bottom corner might eventually end up with a picture of "dinosaur bones" if DS ever actually finishes digging them out of the plaster... Veggie Card by BreetheFlea, on Flickr I just received the Lawn Fawn dies in the mail and had to use them... I am going to send one card to my dad for Father's Day because he gardens, and the other I made into a thank you card for future use. I also have other plans for that bell pepper die because it's our guinea pig trios favorite snack.

I could have sworn that one of Q2's challenges was to do a layout about what you're listening to or watching at the moment, but when I went to tick it off the checklist, there was no such challenge!! It must have been last month. Oh well..... here is a layout about what I am currently watching. ETA: I just worked it out! One of grammadee 's challenges was to do a challenge from 29-4-29 this year. I chose to do breetheflea 's #20 Broadcast Media challenge.

Did a half Sheetload and shared on that thread, but also sharing here because I was quite proud of myself for thinking to alter the terrible b-side of this patterned paper. I stamped this time but might ink or stencil next time. April share by jo.blackford, on Flickr

So much creativity in one place! I really need to make it my mission to get back here over the next day or so. Here is one of the pages I put together while at the LSS yesterday. One of those serendipity moments when photo and paper come together as if it was ordained... One 12x12 page created & shared (22). One photo scrapped for the Donna challenge (1). S/I-2 cars on background pp, S/I-8 camera, S/I-10 rabbit, W/T-1 April, W/T-10 one word title, Th-2 (outdoors), Th-10 travel. Total: 30
I have a couple more pages from yesterday to finish here at home (Itching to try out my new sneaker die on one of them), but not sure when I will get those finished.
