Waving hello as I head out the door. Hopefully I have some pages to show for my day at the LSS today (and not just another collection of supplies to play with LOL

I spent almost all day yesterday finishing what I was reading for book group, which is today, and finishing an audiobook, which was due today as well. At least the latter allowed me to crochet while I listened so I earned a few points.

Good day yesterday. Got 7 pages put together. Supper with friends, then book club. Was delighted to check the scores after book club to find the Oilers are still alive to play another day!
Hope to photograph and share my pages tomorrow (after adding a few little bits from my stash). Today will be filled with dsil’s Change of Command ceremony at the nearby military base, then supper afterward.
Happy Wednesday!

I watched the first period before bed and was also jazzed to wake up and found out they'd held on to win, grammadee!

I really don't care at all about sportsball (sportspuck? sportsstick?) but I was actually happy for you when I saw the Oilers win mentioned in my morning news email. lol. I actually know a few fans, and besides, it just seems like they should win. I have no idea! lol I was vaguely unsettled yesterday so instead of trying to push into a project I went through all the stuff in the round robin that came back to me. I had pulled some things out to try but when it came to actually getting ink out to stamp/stencil I decided I didn't like them enough to be bothered. But I've set aside a few things. And I'm happy I didn't speed through that peony-card-remake-Sheetload because I found a couple of papers in the box that suit it really well, much better than the colored cs I pulled. They're papers I would never have bought. I'll try to get that done so I can share today. The sun is out and my energy is back

I need to unpack today from my day at the LSS on Tuesday. Hoping to finish off the pages that need it, then photograph and post. That part will be easier than putting away the supplies and scraps I took with me. I think it's time to integrate the supplies from last spring's SCT event into my general stash, but not sure exactly where they will go. It would definitely be easier to just plop those bags back into the tub they came from. Will see how energetic I get...

This week my "work" is to sell a bunch of easels that a family member used to display artwork around her house after she ran out of space on all of the walls. (literally, baseboard to ceiling on almost every wall of the house 😳 ) Thankfully I've already had interest in a couple of them. I unpacked 13 more Hummels to photograph and list over the summer too. It's hot here today but not heat-dome-hot. Are you sweltering Shakti? I have a couple of free hours now, to either craft or watch a bit of Bridgerton... Yesterday I chose the latter.

We installed heat pumps a couple years ago, joblackford . I tend to call them "warm pumps" in the winter; I honestly don't think they heat worth a damn. But the cooling they provide in summer is truly heavenly! Currently, we are having the violent t-bangers that often signal the end to a heat wave!

Hello, Team. How has your end of week gone? How is your weekend shaping up? Our weather has been crazy cold, but I think some of that heat is heading our way! Maybe my garden will decide it is time to get growing.
Yesterday, I spent some time putting things away and tidying up in here. Now that my photos are sorted, I may be able to put together something this morning. This evening is reserved for supper and watching HOCKEY with dd & family. Then dgs has a baseball tourney Saturday. I am torn between wanting to go and wondering if I have the energy...

It's another hot day here so my hubby decided to visit his mom today instead of working on the house in the blazing sun. So I have a quiet house to myself this afternoon. I'm working on some cards using old papers that are not at all my colors, but using the Sheetload sketches it doesn't matter much, as long as the papers coordinate well with each other. That said I'll be happy to get back to more bright and cheerful, less grungy papers soon.

My week has ended on an ok note. C&9th Summer Camp kick off is tonight, half hour before the hockey game starts, so I guess I won't be pathetically watching the sportstick by myself tonight. Hopefully when I check in before bed I'll see the good guys in the lead! Go, OILERS!!
Summer exchange cards went out. A few other loose crafty ends were tied up. I pretty much completed the weird and quirky reorganization of my stamps, dies, stencils, and embossing folders. I think I'm liking it.
I'm ready for camp, such as I am participating in camp. I'm registered for yoga tomorrow, which will be inside, due to rain. I think it will be a good weekend (more so if the Oilers force GAME 7).
I should be all hyped about Celtics and duck boat victory parades, but I'm just kind of tired of the sportbasket....

I have been busy finishing up random house things in preparation for being away for a couple days. I'm heading to Seattle tomorrow to do the C9 Summer Camp online event with a pea (MichyM). Then Sunday, on our way home, I'm meeting a high school friend for lunch. I'm really looking forward to the weekend!! In addition to chores, I did a little baking. I have a batch of S'mores Cookie Bars in the oven. I've never had them before but goes with the theme for tomorrow... Try to stay cool, peas!

I keep looking at s'mores themed treats for camp, but they all seem too sweet.
I have C&9 on the computer with sound and hockey on TV with CC on.

Haha! Someone in the summer camp chat posted that the Oilers scored before I saw it on my TV!! Another exciting one. With alot of nail biting in the middle. But "we", as in the Oilers, are off to Florida for Game 7! And my son talked me into sharing another set of 50/50 tickets. Half of almost $9M. (Well, I would get a quarter) Maybe that Pea crop will be a reality yet!

I should make graham cracker sammies filled with lots of Nutella (or TJ’s cocoa almond spread really) and toss ‘em in the freezer. They’ll probably work better for me than anything aggressively s’moresy.

Good Saturday evening, Team I am home from a day sitting in the sun at the minor ball tourney. They were moved up to a higher tier at the last minute, so they lost both games today Waiting to see if one of the teams playing this evening lost by a higher margin before we know if our team plays tomorrow or if they are out. Lots of ups and downs, but today was a good day.
I am pretty tired. Planning to stay home tomorrow I think.

Happy weekend, Team! Hope you're all having a fantastic one, whether that means crafty, adventurous, or relaxing to you! Unlike last summer when the challenge teams took a hiatus, this summer we are carrying on -- sign up here: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/4129827/thread! And remember, you can make the challenge teams work for you and your crafty goals by adding them to the challenge lists. Examples of things that have really helped me and that I try to remember to keep on this lists are things like using something up, using an item in your stash for the first time, giving away an RAK, making a donation, finishing a class or other project, etc. Sometimes spend nothing for the month is on there -- that's one I've never met, but if it's a goal yours, you can add it and take the points!

Oh man, I missed a day of chatting yesterday and broke my streak! I was just thinking this morning that it was about time that we'd be signing up for the next quarter... time flies... I got all my Sheetload cards glued yesterday, but haven't figured out the sentiments or focal point yet. I used up the whole paper pad Today I am headed out to a college grad party. An afternoon of talking to people I don't know is not really my jam but it will be nice for my hubby to catch up with some high school and college friends (and I should learn to be better at chitchat at some point).

I did stay home today. Finished up 3 pages I had had on the go. Started another two pager. Should have it ready to post tomorrow. One more LO to finish to wrap up the grad album. Then I need to start catching up on other topics, and make a bunch of cards.

Happy Monday?
Some of the personalities on the sports talk radio station I listen to were discussing how much they hate the Panthers and would LOVE to see Connor McDavid and the Oilers with the cup! So nice to have some local company with the "Let's go, OILERS!!"
I've been trying not to post too much about my job search. BUT, my already depressed friend was laid off a week ago. And on Friday, the company that laid me off in April shut its doors, laying off everyone who was left. I had been thinking the place I interviewed at earlier in the month was not the best fit or most exciting company, but stability is looking more and more attractive by the second! At least in my area and industry, I sense a real slow down is beginning. So my fingers are crossed for the offer to come next week. I do have an interview somewhere else Thursday, too.

So nice to have some local company with the "Let's go, OILERS!!" Well it certainly has been nice to hear comments from people who are "never Oilers" fans now cheering them on. Here it is a national pride kinda thing. We Canadians think we OWN hockey (actually originated the Stanley Cup here), and are very excited to have a chance after 18 years to win that cup back! But anyone else who wants to join in the cheering is more than welcome. If they actually pull this off, this will encourage so many kids, so many teams, to never give up, even when the odds are stacked against you. Oh, and the 50/50 I bought tickets for will not be drawn until tonight, and the total is now over $10M. I finished a LO and created another one this morning. This means I can drive the pages for dgd's grad album to the printers' tomorrow. Whew! I have loved doing these, but will be happy to move on to different themes...

So, do you make one physical scrapbook and then have copies printed? Yes. The albums I delivered to her have copies of most of the pages I have ever made about her. The originals are back in my albums, here. I will keep these originals as well b/c they are too heavy & thick for her albums (which each have over 100 page protectors, each filled with 2 printed copies). She will be here for a short visit in a couple of weeks, so I hope to give her the copies of her grad pages to take home with her.

Hello, grammadee teacherlisa pantsonfire Ryann kitbop natscraps kmage scrappert scrappinwithoutpeas joblackford ! It occurs to me that I have not been asking fun chat-provoking questions, or at least not since the beginning of the quarter. As we head into the last week of the quarter and start winding down, I thought I would. Especially since I just saw one. It was really an ad for some autobiography authoring service or something, but the question was, "What would the title of your memoir be?" I thought it sounded like a fun game (to be fully factually, I didn't get that it was an ad at first and was trying to figure out where to enter my answer!), so I'll start: Well, That Didn't Turn Out Like I Expected.... Who's next?

Well, Shakti, that game didn't turn out the way I wanted it to... Still a VERY outside chance for the 50/50. Total pot over $21M. "What would the title of your memoir be?" As for my Memoirs... I will go to my favourite saying: Life is Short. Eat Dessert First.
