Good morning, Team. Happy Monday! scrappinwithoutpeas, my dgs was disappointed to see the Cap's end their season last night. We watched the last period and kept hoping all their efforts would result in a comeback win. We still have kitbop's Canucks and my Oilers to cheer for. You are welcome to join us! Dh just headed out to drive dgs to school. I am still on the hunt for an elusive photo I remember taking, and dh has no appointments, so will be coming back within the hour, so I don't see myself getting started on anything crafty this morning. Hopefully tomorrow. Thinking today might be a good time to add up my points for the second half of April.

grammadee Yes, it's the SCT scrapbooking event. They took away all the "other" projects so it's layouts only. SO many layouts! This may be my favorite I've done from them. Really happy with the end results. Yesterday I was able to finish up the last of the Saturday classes. I have all of Sunday left to complete as well as any bonus layouts from those classes (all the classes had 1-3 bonus layouts). It will keep me busy for a few days I think. I recently bought some white magnetic sheets to hang on the wall to provide metal die storage. I wasn't expecting delivery until later this week, or even next week - they showed up last Friday! So I will be taking another pause from crafting while I do some organizing of metal dies. First thing is to figure out the best way to get the sheets hung. They are large in size so I'd like to keep them whole, rather than cut down to fit frames, etc.

I don't think that I, here in Massachusetts, will do that... Ha ha! This Canadian gal is still hoping for a Maple Leaf Miracle, but after watching their last game, I am thinking you will have your own team to cheer for in the next round... Calculated my April points yesterday. Just need to add in anything I do today so I can post numbers in the Q-2 Rules thread. Dh has an appointment this morning, and dgs will be in school. I have some photos out, so I may be able to squeeze in one more LO for April. Will have to remember to add in some elements not checked off yet on the Challenge sheet. Could wait for double points, but I need to make hay when the sun shines--or make pages when time and mojo collide...

We're all a little nervous around here after last postseason, but, yeah, it looks pretty good.
If I were going to craft today, I'd be doing it now, since I don't have a focus-requiring job search task this morning. But I'm not. I suppose I might do some tidying/organizing, but I could go through the challenge iist.
Come to think to it, I guess I have to do enough tidying to FIND my challenge list!

Where did the month go? I haven't even printed the challenge list yet! oops. And I stopped looking at my tally sheet after the first week of the month. (that page has my household checklists too, so I'm behind on all the things!) Luckily I've been tracking my time and making stuff, so I just need to catch up on the counting today and tomorrow. I took your advice Shakti and looked harder at my Dbug papers to see if I could match that tricky Damask Love girls paper, and sure enough, I found a couple of options. I'm working on some cute sheetload cards using older sketches. I need to get started on my red white and blue cards next.

Hurray! Glad it worked. I do all kinds of crazy mixing, including between brands, never mind collections!
I am continuing to have a not very productive day. Followed up with a couple contacts on the job front, but don't expect much to come from it. Watched a video or two, but haven't mustered the mojo to craft or energy to tidy.
It occurs to me as I type this that I have now been unemployed (again) a week longer than I was employed (again), it being the fourth week-iversary of that lay off. I wonder if that's been subconsciously getting me down?

Up until about a week or two ago, I had been finding some crafting time here and there, but DD#2 has been visiting this week (left today), so we've been really busy with her and crammed a lot of activities & outings in while she was visiting (including game#4 of the Caps v. Rangers booo ). Oh well, we had fun anyway! I'm now rooting for the Avs. In addition, we had my MIL's big birthday bash, helped complete her final rounds of downsizing and her move into a senior living community. So the only crafty thing I've done this week is make her a card (and I'm not even sure I got a photo of it...) but I did spend time helping go through MIL's stash of crafty things, organizing and sorting. I'm looking forward to things settling down a bit this weekend to get some actual crafting done.

Happy May, people! I was at the ball diamonds in town yesterday evening shivering (8C with a breeze), so I missed any hockey updates until this morning. Wow. I see there WAS a small Maple Leaf Miracle, Shakti, so you will need to wait another day of nail biting before you can celebrate. And I see your adopted Av's knocked off the Jets, scrappinwithoutpeas. Is it in the movie Avatar when the people feel it when one of their own is hurt somewhere else? I feel that way when a Canadian team is eliminated , or at least when I hear about it later . Taking dgs to soccer practice this evening, but we should be home to catch the first period of the Oilers before he needs to head up to bed. OK. Back to crafting. Dh drove dgs to school this morning and I am hoping to join mom when she sets up her on-line crop. If anyone wants to join in, just check for the meeting link HERE.

Good morning, team! Anyone planning to craft over the next few days? I think I will spend a little time today figuring out what I will be able to put together over the Double Stuff Weekend (May 3rd-6th).
Will I complete the last couple of hockey LO's? (finally caved and put away all the hockey scrappy supplies, but they could be dragged out again). Do a couple of pages about time with the dgs's in Calgary a couple of weeks ago? Do some travel LO's of our trip to Orlando, ds's family road trip to Phoenix, another ds's family trip to Hawaii? I think my ADHD dgs's thinking patterns have overtaken my brain LOL.

I have the new SLoC sketch printed.
I have started a project to turn a CS special edition kit into 2 boxes with 8 or 12 notecards each.
I have 24 pieces of DSP cut from 3 12x12 sheets from one pack to make into...something. I was under the impression that one of the charities took sets of notecards to be given to people in nursing homes or the like, but I can't fine it. I guess I could make them fully blank cards for Cards for Kindness or Happy Hello/Thinking of You sorts of cards for Bring Smiles to Seniors.
People ImyRL are getting tired of being gifted all-occasion or notecard sets, I think....
I could bust out the watercolors.
I could continue the rebinning of my reusable crafty things.
I could see if I can actually get everything in the random bin where things get tossed when I need to tidy up put away for real.
i continue with the rehoming of things.
So, yeah, I should get to SOMEcraftyTHING over the DS weekend. Though I will miss Saturday morning due to other plans.

You know, today just might be shaping up to be a good day. I went to an early morning yoga class because I will miss my usual Saturday, had a better-than-expected job phone screen after that (well, after breakfast after yoga), just popped over to FB thinking about posting some for-sales and found an ISO post for one the things....

I was out in the sun gardening this morning. I made some progress but at one point I felt like a dog who has gotten behind the sofa and can't figure out how to get out again! I was crawling behind and underneath a bunch of snowberry and bamboo trying to clean it up. I only tackled it because my husband needed me to be nearby while he worked on a car thing. That was my workout for today!
I haven't printed the Sheetload out yet but I should be able to do that tomorrow, hopefully using papers and scraps I already have. I might place a little order for some Paige Evans papers during the NSD sale to go with one I have - it has a quilty vibe so could look nice with this month's sketch.
I still have lots of watercolor lessons to do this weekend too. Should be able to rack up lots of crafty points, especially if the rain comes back.

Happy Friday, team!! Our fearless leader, grammadee, reminds us all about the special outside challenge challenge for this Double Stuff Weekend. See detail here: 2peasrefugees.boards.net/post/4110514/thread. That is also the thread where you should post a link to the source of any outside challenges you meet. There should be plenty posted for National Scrapbook Day on Sunday!

I didn't even know what sports y'all are talking about! I guessed probably hockey, but I had to look it up to confirm. I got off to a good early start this morning, doing the required adulty things. I even cleaned some of the house. I fear I'm about to lose steam though. I don't know if I should work next on Hummels or blue plant pots (both of which I'm supposed to sell)... I'm not great at prioritizing my time... I stepped away from the computer and took photos of the rest of the blue pots while the sun was shining. Now it's lunchtime! I should do a little more work before I start my crafty time but we'll see...

Sorry (not sorry) about your Bruins, Shakti. Maple Leaf magic, I tell ya …. Dd arrived home today but dgs elected to stay another night at the farm. Not sure if the attraction is his grandparents or satellite TV to watch the Canucks game tonight. I managed to scrap a couple of pages this morning. About hockey LOL.

We got the magnetic sheets attached to the wall and I started placing dies on it. I think I underestimated how many dies I have. I decided to change which dies were going on the wall and which dies will be housed in a wooden crate on magnetic sheets (file system). I went ahead and ordered two of the crates as I think one will not be enough, based on how off I was estimating the non-stitching dies. I hope this will motivate me to use dies in the coming months. I've started to set aside stuff for the next stamp/die Round Robin joblackford has been hosting.

Yeah, my crafting supplies seem to multiply while stuffed in a corner waiting for the home to accommodate them. Good plan to order two of those boxes!
How is your iNSD going? Dgs is still here, so not alot of prolonged focus to be found... I watched the first SCT class video and screenshot a pic to use for my own LO later. Then I went looking for albums, hoping to snag some sales. I have 200+ printed copies of LO's to organize and get into page protectors and albums before dgd's grad in early June. Ended up finding a couple of large D-ring ones on Amazon.ca, so I ordered them. Not on sale, but less expensive and more usable than Michaels, even with the M's BOGO 1/2 price deal.

I got all the blue ceramic planters from my in-laws listed on Marketplace yesterday so I woke up to a dozen messages this morning. One post always tends to go a little viral - thanks Fbk algorithm. So I have 11 listings and one gets 250+ views and the others get about 5 views. Sigh... I hope to one day be able to approach this process serenely, but that day isn't today. I made a list and started messaging people back, and one reply was kind of rude... I should've just let it go but I was a little rude back to her, annoyed that she had messaged me at midnight and was now telling me how to handle the responses. But doh, she wasn't one of the ones who had messaged overnight, she had messaged just before I woke up. I should've just let it go... But her reply was still rude, and I'm no longer going to let her know if the sale falls through, which is what I messaged her. I'll keep the pot myself before I sell it to her Yes, I'm very childish. Sales is not my thing AT ALL. I get very anxious and reactive. Hoping to get some crafting time in between all this nonsense. It's a rainy day. I should at least be able to crochet while I wait for people to show up. Hope you all got off to a better start this morning than me.

Congrats, Shakti on the Bruins' win. Another Canadian team down And the last two have to play each other!!! Game on, kitbop! I was exhausted yesterday after dgs had spent ten days with us so except for watching some videos I did nothing scrappy. Basically just lay around and watched TV and read my book. But this morning I woke up energized to apply one of the videos, and ended up completing two double pagers. Hope all of the team gets to enjoy what is left of this weekend. I am off to a dinner theatre brunch presentation...

I spent most of yesterday selling cobalt blue plant pots for FIL but good news, I got rid of all but three, and I have one more buyer coming on Tuesday. And best of all, no messages from buyers today, so I can relax and do crafty things. I don't know if I shared back when we first got the pots but there were literally dozens of them. So many, and so big, that I couldn't put fit them all in one part of my yard for a photo. FIL was sick of planting and watering them and the weight of 60-70 ceramic pots was also killing his old deck. I was able to work on some cards yesterday after all the appointments, Sheetload inspired but I went rogue with the construction. I haven't finished any of them but I'll try to get them done before the end of the double points weekend. It's another rainy day today. I did about an hour of "watercolor for joy" practice but I haven't quite found my joy yet! I did invest in some nice brushes and they make a big difference I'm going to buy some of the instructor's recommended paper next. I was working along with the video class for 4x points, yay! Is anyone else spending the weekend working on a class they bought and didn't finish?

It's really hard for me to track paid-by-the-hour time right now. So far this morning I really finished my SLoC (decorated the insides, pulled out envelopes), applied to a job, showered & had breakfast. I have two Teams interview from 11:30 -12:30, so I should do some prep. Maybe I do this wrong, but I don't think I have two hours worth of interview prep....

Good luck with your interviews, Shakti. Good job finishing the plant pot sales and starting your digi book, joblackford. Glad you have photos flagged so you can concentrate on the creative part now. I try to do my calendar pages one month at a time, always working with current photos. The one year I did it all in November it was NOT fun to complete LOL. I am always on the lookout for "the" photo to represent each month. Hoping I get some Mothers' Day pic's I can use for May... Did you finish your die organizing and storage, Ryann? Not alot of plans here for today. Guess it's a "ketchup" day ... I need to clean up my mess from yesterday, and I want to leave some love on Flickr, and the Sharing threads on GS and Cardmaking boards. I am hoping to have a full morning to play with paper tomorrow, so will do a little organizing today to make sure I have everything I will need handy. Also need to sign and address the envelopes for the Mothers' Day and May birthday cards that need to get into the mail tomorrow. Have a Marvelous Monday, team!

Thanks!
Oh, hey! Just remembered this. I mostly missed my crafty time Saturday morning because I had a museum and lunch date with DH. But after that, I dropped off my first box of donations to the second-hand craft supply store in the area! I'm so jazzed I'm emailing with the proprietor now to try to start getting the next one together.
And that's in addition to having found a place to start collecting stuff for the round robin, so hopefully I won't have lost track of things by the time it gets to me next!

I’m doing a lot of guesstimating my crafty hours because I’m not finishing many things, so I’m not earning points. The photo book is drafted but no page is actually finished, and probably won’t be until closer to November. So I’ll take a bunch of points then but for now it’s just time served. On Saturday when I was constantly being interrupted it was impossible to track a few minutes here and there I managed to get done. But tracking crafty time really helps me commit to sitting down and working for an hour or two in the afternoon. The sun is out today! Hurrah! I’m not sure if it’s safe to hang laundry though - I see some dark clouds - so I might put that off until the high pressure builds tomorrow. Laundry day is usually a good crafting day, broken into one hour chunks punctuated by a little time outside. Anyway, today I’ll try to commit and finish the cards I started Sat. Good luck with the interviews Shakti!
