I made matching shirts for my bestie and I today. We are going on a girls trip in a couple of weeks to the coast. I don't do a lot with HTV, it intimidates me. These are three holo colors from Michaels. They turned out so fun!

Those are super cute chaosisapony! seaexplore does some great stuff like this too. She made me some running shirts that I absolutely love. And she made my mom an apron that is so funny. It's says I'll feed all you fuckers. My mom laughed so damn hard when we gave it to her because she hosts the whole family for dinner every Thursday night.

Those are kind of cool. Grannies are some of my favorite blankets. But they look...well...like something grannies would crochet. But somehow these bags look fashionable. Not like something a granny would crochet.

I LOVE granny squares all put into a blanket. The more random the design/colors the better!
I'm trying to come up with a secretary's day card for my kick ass school secretary. I'm going to make the card and have the kids all sign it.

Fun colors for a pair of socks! They remind me of Fruit Loops cereal. If all these socks are for you then you have the most amazing sock wardrobe I've ever seen.

I haven't smoked a cigarette in 10 days. I have decided to quantify my cigarette habit in craft products. Here is what ten days worth of cigarettes bought me.

Very proud of your 10 days cigarette free! Your idea to quantify what you would have spent on them is a great idea. The Grinch fabric is cute! That will be a fun quilt to make! Can't wait to see the finished project.

Hi could we possibly have a photo of all your amazing socks to see your work over the years? Please? Anyone else want to see this?

This week I've spent some time playing with some vintage barkcloth fabric in my collection. It's been in my collection for about 5 years but I've never taken the items apart and cleaned the fabrics. Took a good bit of time but that project is done! One item was a homemade curtain panel about a yard long and double width (selvedges intact). The curtain panel is a Grandma Moses design from her painting, a rare find. What I loved most is the fact that this fabric claims to be "shrunketized". A new fabric term for me - and my new favorite word! The other was a homemade hand tied quilt that had seen better days. One side was pieced with what appears to be generous sample sizes of barkcloth and a vintage paisley cotton on the other side which still has the selvedges and is 36" wide. Filling the quilt was an intact army blanket! No wonder that thing was super heavy! The blanket was in perfect condition and has been dry cleaned and added to DH's road trip gear. He claimed that very quickly! The reason I'm pretty sure these were salesmen samples is that there are 7 color variations, all are the same size and they are professionally serged. The dark green piece at top had been cut in half to finish off the top of the quilt. My plans are to eventually make some tote bags and zipper pouches with it.
