The kits look really cute, but of course I have a million questions! I'm guessing the deluxe kit unveiled today will be around $80.

I'm so curious. Need to see price and more info but so far so good.
Absolutely loved the unveiling of the deluxe box. and there is a separate regular box I am anxious to see. I agree that the boxes can add up space wise but I loved it too!

I haven’t made cards in forever but I loved the reveal of the deluxe box! The colors, stamps, and does are sooo pretty!
I agree, the cost is going to be $75-90, plus shipping. Does anyone know if a subscription is required or can boxes be purchased month-to-month?

I was pleasantly surprised, which is unpleasant for my wallet. My only other experience with TSM was at the Pinkfresh holiday event. This kit seems very different from that. I am trying to collect more bold sentiments and these fit the bill. The flower is fun and simple, also very different from anything currently in my stash.
I am also curious to see what the non-deluxe kit lacks -- I'm guessing one of the stamp & die sets. I also need to know cost and commitment. This one is the June kit and you need to commit by the end of April. Do you commit only to June? Or do you commit to additional kit sight unseen? If there's a discount for a larger commitment, but you can do month-to-month or whatever, I could be in for this one.

the non deluxe kit is completely different than the deluxe. it has different products entirely and I'm guessing it has fewer products. They referred to the kits as a subscription so I want to see the price and the details on being able to cancel, etc.

Oh man, I really want both kits. My wallet can't take it anymore, there's so many great kits and virtual retreats and classes, and although I was on a freeze for 2024, it is my birthday next month so I am considering asking for one or both of these kit subscriptions (depending on the prices and details) for my birthday gift. I've already signed up for some virtual classes, too, so I'm pretty sure my birthday budget is spent, but Amy's stuff is so gorgeous, she has such a great aesthetic. Plus, my husband loves watches and has quite a collection, so I definitely need the smaller kit so I can make cards for him, right? Right??
Is it just me or are craft companies really upping their games lately? Or am I just in a buying mood???

These look like fun. I could see buying one here and there, but not something I’d want to have to subscribe to.

The website is up. The prices are steep. It's $114.95 (1 time purchase)/$99.95 (subscription) for the deluxe kit and $69.95 (1 time purchase)/$59.95 (subscription) for the standard kit PLUS shipping. The subscription part is weird. You can cancel any time after the first payment. There is info here on the timing of the first 3 kits: thestampmarket.com/pages/the-cutest-card-kit-ever-subscriptions

Ouch. Those prices hurt. I really Like the watch kit, but not for $70+ shipping. Sadly, I’m out.

I'm circling back to this because of the pricing. The regular kit has one stamp set, one die set, 9 pieces of colored CS and some sparkly things. What is the retail value of those? Can't be more than $50-ish? While the box is lovely I'm not willing to pay more for it as it'll likely end up in the recycle anyhow. It feels like she's putting a good-sized price tag on the instructional portion.

Random thoughts…
The sad thing is that so many craft items seem so, so expensive to me. I’ve sadly given up on most Simon Says Stamp branded items because the dies seem so overpriced/expensive to me. I will buy a set I really love during a sale here or there. But honestly there are several other companies that are now in the same price range and I am aware that all costs are going up 😭 I am a consumer who purchases coordinating dies most of the time, and I can’t just pluck money from my money tree!
6x8 stamp sets at TSM are $26. So I have to see lots of potential in a set that big in order to purchase it but the cost of the dies might make or break the deal. It’s hard to compare die set prices because they all contain different amounts—but the die sets are usually more than the stamp sets. So I’m not sure where she is calculating the price of the kits with regard to each item but the $60 “subscription” price didn’t seem that far out of line to me (considering I think it is expensive, but on par with some other companies)
I’m not trying to offer advice one way or the other—I am feeling the pinch in my budget from all angles and I have a lot of supplies. I love the virtual events as well. Something has to give and I guess I need to ramp up my self control.
The launch of the kit is interesting timing but I think the advantage of the kits for a company is knowing how much to purchase so you don’t have gobs leftover. That may translate to better pricing for us, or a situation where a company can absorb some price increases in production. I think TSM started with two GREAT kits and I hope it succeeds because more companies is always better for consumers.

I got both kits this time as a subscriber so reduced rates and shipping was free. I like that you can cancel anytime. I like that there are classes which means I will use it. I like that there are add ons and I really like Amy’s aesthetic so I know that I will like this a lot. I’m quitting spellbinders and really trying to reduce other stuff coming in. I tend to buy stuff if there is inspiration I love so this is up my alley.

However, to me, there is not clear information as to when credit cards will be charged for the July kit. Is it April 30th or May 31st? If I order the June kit today the last day of the month subsequent to my initial payment would be April 30th, right? Knowing what I know about TSM, I feel like there is a catch I'm missing.

I'm thinking to sub for the small kit for this first one. Its unique enough to pay the higher price, but I do wish the watch would be a little more masculine with some extra stuff. The deluxe kit its nice but not unique in my opinion and I really don't like how her sample cards use the add-on items.

If I order the June kit today the last day of the month subsequent to my initial payment would be April 30th, right? Knowing what I know about TSM, I feel like there is a catch I'm missing. I feel like the sentence "When you subscribe to our Card Kits, you are agreeing to a monthly charge for your kit + any applicable shipping on the last day of each month subsequent to your initial payment." is a run-on sentence, or at least poorly worded. I'm interpreting it as meaning that the initial payment for your first month is charged the day you subscribe, so say April 19th. So, that's June's kit paid for. Then every month after that you will be charged on the last day of the month, so for July's kit you'll be charged on May 31. It will ship July 1st. Then charged on June 30 for August's kit. So does this mean it's okay to cancel any time before May 31 if you sign up for this one and decide you don't want July's kit? She says "*Subscription plans can cancel anytime after your first kit." Does this mean after you receive your first kit or after you pay for your first kit? I wonder if the reveal will be on the 19th each month, giving people 10+ days to cancel if they don't want it. I'd like clarification. Maybe she's answering questions in the facebook group, I'll have to go check when I get a minute. I don't know why everyone wouldn't just subscribe to get the cheaper price and then cancel right away. This is confusing.

That way it's not as risky if there's a catch with cancelling, too. I really really love the watch. I'll going to attempt to make it more masculine with bolder colors.

I really like the watch kit. I feels unique and I don't have anything like it currently. I wish it was available in May as it doesn't give us a lot of time if we're using it for Father's Day specifically. I'm definitely considering subbing to get that kit. Not sure if I would keep the sub active after that...I'd have to see what else she comes up with.
The Deluxe kit is cute but doesn't grab me the way the watch kit did so that one is a no from me. I have tons of florals so don't feel the need for this one.

I agree that it is pricey, but I also agree that the price of All products has gone WAY up. I think it is comparable to other companies. just for comparison
The standard TSM kit (the watch kit) (subscription price) $59.95:
6 x 8 stamp set Dies (not cut apart) 9 sheets of cardstock sequins a class A box (very nice)
Concord & 9th Total: $57.20
6 x 8 stamp set and coordinating dies (Flower Medley) $43.25 (dies cut apart) 12 sheets cardstock $8 Dew Drop Assortment $5.95
videos on line to showcase products (not sure if they are comparable to what the TSM class will be) - free no storage box

Wow. That deluxe kit is very pricey. I still kind of want it. i guess I have a little time to decide.
Club Scrap will let you skip two, but if you skip the third, your subscription lapses. You can resubscribe the very next month.
If all TSM is saying is that they don't have a mechanism to skip, so cancel your subscription, but you can resubscribe the very next month, that doesn't seem to be that big a deal.
They need an FAQ or something.

I think I've talked myself down! Go, me! Those ovals look very similar to Spellbinders' stylish ovals, which I have. And the have some bold sentiments and simple outline floral sets on their site now. I am pondering whether I need them instead of the kit or maybe not anything right now.

Ugh. I really want that deluxe kit, but Shatki reminded me I already have the Spellbinders Stylish Ovals. I also don't need another thing stuffed into my craft room, but what has need ever had to do with anything?

Went back and forth but finally decided to get both kits. This will put a significant dent in purchasing other products, but I love and am inspired by the contents. And the fact that we will see the next month's products and have a chance to unsubscribe was the winner for me. If I like the following month's, and have the $$, I'll keep subscribed. Otherwise, I'm good to cancel.
