I def plan on seeing Niagara Falls Please let me know as I live close by. It would be fun to have a pea meet-up (& I'll have some Canadian butter & maple syrup for you). My neighbour (from where I grew up) has a commercial maple syrup business & I get my maple syrup from them. I used to help their parents when I was young in making maple sugar candies and working at their farm market. I have several different friends who own wineries. Butter, maple syrup and wine ~ could life be better than this? Ha I would love that! It won't be any time very soon but I will definitely let you know I'm not sure what I could bring you that would be an acceptable American gift but I'll work on that. Lol thanks 😁

Every single one but Disney. My Dad loved to travel and planned our summer vacations around historical sites. Between that and being a military wife for 22 years, I’ve been extremely lucky to travel extensively. Only Disney properties I’ve been to are Tokyo and Paris, have absolutely no desire to visit the ones in the U.S.

16. Have a friend who used to own the Hana Hotel and Spa. She didn't own it when we drove the road. It's kind of a once you've done it once, it's enough. But we found some beautiful waterfalls along the way.

6--Mall of America, Disney World, Las Vegas Strip, The White House, Pikes Peak, Washington Monument & Mount Rushmore
7 if you count taking a small touristy plane for an air tour over the Grand Canyon (flew in and out of Vegas)
I've been to Miami & Seattle, but don't think we officially made it to South Beach and don't remember going to the Space Needle.

Lexica ~~ Be careful about soil samples and more so, sand. It is illegal in some places to remove any form of vegetation, dirt & sand. Apparently in some places, taking shells is also verboten. Something verboten is forbidden. It isn't allowed or permitted. If this word looks and sounds odd, that's because it comes straight to English from German. The concept is simple: anything verboten is forbidden to do or say. He never took soil from any landmark or anyplace of significance. He thought that would have been brought in and therefore not “real” to the state in his mind. The majority were from just off rest areas, into the natural landscape. He was very discerning. He would walk around with the little trowel that we picked up at an Walmart after he had gotten the idea and would put the soil into a little baggie that he had written the state name on at the hotel the night before. And they are long gone now, so no concern.

I’ve been in all the states except Alaska, Hawaii and North Dakota. Not just driving through. I’ve lived in 4 states. But, I’ve only been to 7 of the things on the list.

11 for me. I'm actually decently traveled, we just haven't seemed to really hit up "official" monuments or places very often!

I'm missing the Space Needle, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, South Beach and Pikes Peak. I guess technically I haven't been "to" the Hollywood Sign but I've seen it from the car a few times.
