Only 4 for me, but one was before I can remember, so I’d really only say 3.
Sightseeing like that isn’t really my jam. If I go to CA I’m not heading to the Hollywood sign or the Golden Gate Bridge, if I hit NYC I’ll be on Broadway, not the Empire State Building.
I want to feel the local vibe/culture when I go somewhere, not go to a tourist trap. 🤷🏼♀️

I've been to 16, 17 if you count the obligatory photo outside the White House (as I've never been inside).
I'm not in the US but am lucky to have travelled around a lot of the states.

20 and I am not from the US. But that makes sense, I have been fortunate to visit your country as a tourist with my family several times (road trips) so these are many of the places you would typically visit. I would not be surprised if some of you that traveled to the Netherlands have seen more of my country than me! In fact, I have seen a few things here for the first time when we had some friends from Spain over and took them on a little tour.

Please let me know as I live close by. It would be fun to have a pea meet-up (& I'll have some Canadian butter & maple syrup for you). My neighbour (from where I grew up) has a commercial maple syrup business & I get my maple syrup from them. I used to help their parents when I was young in making maple sugar candies and working at their farm market. I have several different friends who own wineries. Butter, maple syrup and wine ~ could life be better than this? Ha I would love that! It won't be any time very soon but I will definitely let you know I'm not sure what I could bring you that would be an acceptable American gift but I'll work on that. Lol thanks 😁 OMG I’d totally be up for that - I’m about 2 hours from the falls but would totally do this to see fellow Peas 😊

In fact, I have seen a few things here for the first time when we had some friends from Spain over and took them on a little tour. This is true. A tourist usually sees and does things locals do not do. There are things that people talk about in San Diego that I have never seen or done. Some things I’ve done only because my work group used to do team building events and we would go out together (during company time). Because of work, I’ve been on the USS Midway, and I’ve ridden a Duck Boat. My kids and SO haven’t been on a duck boat in San Diego. I recently met a woman from Japan, and she said that I have seen and been to more places in Japan than she has seen or done.

I was going to skip Blarney Castle in Ireland for that reason but I'm really glad I didn't. HOWEVER, I've seen inside the Arch on TV and no thank you. And the Golden Gate Bridge is actually very cool, or it was in the 90s. The park around it was so nice to explore. We went running along the cliffs, can't believe I didn't fall to my death. They probably don't even let people do that anymore 🤣 but I had just barely turned 18 and was with my boyfriend and it was such fun.

I don’t consider most of the places on the list tourist traps - Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Central Park, Washington Monument, Golden Gate Bridge etc etc.
