Are you folks planning to shop or use similar embossing folders you already have?

I signed up yesterday Hopefully we can all share what we make. As to buying new embossing folders, I'm going to use what I have for now. I'm sure once the classes start I'll want some new ones but I'm going to wait until then to see what it is that I need for the techniques.

I'm so excited there are other signing up too. I have a lot of the folders already and have very similar folders for most of the ones I don't have. The only 2 that I'm tempted to buy are the Gina K tapestry and petite flourish but I'm trying to restrain myself. However, the moment someone puts a coupon code in MichyM other post I might cave.

Yes. I signed up immediately when I saw it advertised. I will be using embossing folders from my stash. They're mostly older ones, but I'm sure they will still work.

Embossing Folders are one thing I have a lot of but always neglect to use. This class may change that!

Quick Question - in the trailer for the class it shows a short clip of someone using purple sprays on a card in a splatter box - the woman has tattooed arms - any idea who this is? I'm curious if I'm missing out on following someone really talented.

I know Mindy Eggan has tattoos that show in her videos, but I thought that looked like more coverage than hers.

I signed up for the Stenciled 2 class here last March ('23). I don't think I finished it. The one hour-long class dropping each weekday for a week was challenging for me. As far as I know, no other Peas were enrolled or at least there wasn't a thread for it. I could see that would make a difference for me....
How do others attend these classes? Day by day or save it all for the following weekend or some mix?

She has a very smooth style and soothing voice so she’s one of my favorites.

How funny...I find Mindy's voice a little grating, though I like her teaching style, if you can understand how I'm separating that. I guess I find her cadence soothing, but her vocal intonation slightly irritating.

I always go into the week thinking I'll attend each day as it airs, do that for about two days, then life gets in the way, and I end up watching it weeks or months later. This is something I'm trying to fix about myself, I hate my lack of follow through, and I absolutely love online classes. Having a thread on here about it should help - I always like checking in here during Crop and Create and other events, for instance. It makes it more fun to have people to chat about it with.

Oh, good! I'm so glad you said that marg. That was EXACTLY my experience with the Stenciled one! I am also hoping that having a pod of Peas participating and chatting will help. I think that means I'm in, too. I think I'm pretty good about remembering to use my embossing folders, but I'm sure learning some new tricks and tips will help!

Online Cardclasses are excellent. Definitely more than worth the value, particularly if you are interested in techniques.

I signed up, too. I was just thinking about whether I should destash some of my embossing folders. I have so many and I rarely use them. I am going to use what I have, but Jennifer McGuire has got me to buy many things in the past, so I'm not ruling out new purchases.

I am thinking of signing up to. I have embossing folders and I don't think I have ever used them. I guess I will decide by Friday. I know I won't watch as they classes air, I just have to remember to watch them.

I JUST got rid of all my embossing folders. I never used them and I never even thought about them as an option when making cards. My go-to is always patterned paper for creating the background layer(s). Have fun!

I am probably being a goober and making this harder than it needs to be. Have folks started to collect the folders they're going to use? Or are you waiting to see the class PDFs? I guess those will also be released each day, like the videos?

I'm not doing any prep. I'm going to see what they do in the class and then decide which of my folders I think would work.

The first class has landed. Time to pull out my CTMH diffuser(s). Not sure if I still have them both (I had a circle and a square open spaces, but not sure if I gave one of them away to someone who was stamping more sentiments than I tend to do). Shakti , she demo's how to DIY a diffuser from cs.
QUESTION: Does anyone use a Vagabond for embossing? Trying to figure out the "sandwich" for 3-D embossing.

After watching the first video, I dug thru my cabinet and found my Darice Easy Frames. I bought these years ago and don't know if I've ever used them. They are much thinner than the sizzix ones Kristina was using so I'm gonna have to do a bunch of playing. I really should not have watch the videos before work because I now have no interest in actually working today!
