I’m sick to the teeth of Republicans and their BS. I’m so much more hopeful now that Kamala is running. I cannot wait for the debate. What coffee mug are we ordering? I scrolled through and didn’t see one but I’m always up for a good one. This is the one I linked where the owner is local to me (KC). ETA: Hah! She already has a "Chucks & Pearls" mug, too. >.< Well, danggit, I am going to have to order that one!! I am wearing my pearls as I type. My grandparents bought them for me as I was growing up. I already have my Chucks. So off to order now. |

Can someone explain the “coconut tree” thing to me? I don’t get it. She was hosting an event regarding supporting different communities and while the focus was on young people, she was discussing the need to also support parents, grandparents, teachers and mentors etc in the community, because as her mother always said " do you think you just fell out of a coconut tree" Particularly as they way she said it was funny, it gained some meme traction at the time. Then you had those jumping on when she was announced as the presumed nominee like Hawaii's governor. His tweet made my daughter crack up. Crowd instantly took a liking to it and started chanting it.
Applies to so much-abortion rights, treatment of minorities/POC, LGBTQ issues, and pre-existing conditions to name a few.

It’s hard for me because I really enjoyed the Ms Marvel Disney+ show and the lead character is also named Kamala and pronounced differently. Ka-mall-a This! Plus I read a book with a main character named "Kamala" and I had the above pronunciation in my head. I hadn't heard the comma-luh explanation but going to try and remember that. I've been trying to tell my self "calm-uh-luh" (I don't pronounce the L in calm) but "comma" is better, thanks! |

A comma needs to sit down on where the line would be if there was a line. |

I plan on making my own with a tweak of a change. I have a Silhouette and a blank tshirt at home. I am sure there are other shops that would fit your bill. I was just searching for images. No! I think that American classics are timeless and work for any age. I'm 65 and embarrassed to say how many pair I have. I wear them a lot during the spring after mud season, and fall, when it gets too cold for sandals. I wore them with pearls before that was a Kamala thing. I put insoles in them and I find them very comfortable. You will rock them! I was wondering if you can put some sort of insole in them bc they seem SO flat and not comfortable! I want a red pair LOL My orthotics would take care of the flatness. My issue with them is that they run *really* narrow and I’ve never seen any available in wide widths. Rocket Dog Jazzins look similar and they fit my duck feet. ETA: I see that they now have some in wide but not many colors. |
