I didn't want to take away from a valid whine thread. So, I thought I'd start a petty complaint thread. What's got you irritated today? Complaints to follow.

I picked up a curbside order this morning. My HEB is usually awesome and I never have any complaints about them. I bought a liquid dishwashing detergent. They usually put those in a bag by themselves but for some reason this morning it was in a bag with my canned cat food. The top came open. So now there's liquid dishwashing detergent all over the cans of cat food. I cleaned them off and in the big picture it's not a big deal but it annoyed the heck out of me.

It's my bday and I have to drive DD to a Writer's Workshop about an hour away, each way. I love that she's doing it, but I hate being in traffic.

My Dh is renovating an old Merc. Itβs been at a specialist garage having some electronics done but it came back todayβ¦and now itβs outside my house again, in my spotβ¦.and i donβt like it. P.S. We donβt have a lot of space so yes, it matters (to me π) because now I have to park on the street.
You did say trivial complaints didnβt you? π€

Iβm afraid I am that person. I eat at MacDs maybe once every 5 years and I do take time to read the menu. I even annoy myself. I canβt think of a petty whine right now, which surprises me as Iβm normally a grumpy old woman.

My vent is that if I set my dryer to a certain time/dryness setting, it takes two cycles for the clothes to dry. Why not just come up with a real setting that dries the first time?! I'm trying to pack for vacation and the clothes drying is taking way too long!

Order through the app and pull up in a curbside spot. You get deals and it's generally quite speedy. My kids taught me that. This also works well when you have a dog in the car who loses her shit at the drive through window every. single. time.

My vent is companies that make it darn near impossible to unsubscribe from or cancel their service. If I can easily sign up online, I should be able to cancel the same way.
I'm actually enjoying this situation right now. Years ago I signed up to donate $20 to Save the Children. Great, fine, whatever. Turns out I was signing up to donate that amount each month, not one time. Irritation number one. When I tried to cancel, you had to call and the number was always out of service.
Several months ago, we changed banks and the card that the auto-withdrawal was coming from is no longer valid. So the monthly donations stopped. Now they're calling me all the time, presumably to get me to give them a new card number. Nope. And I'm fixing to block the number they're calling from.
I was trying to help out a charity, not sign them up for a lifetime annuity from me.

DH drove to the airport to pick up a rental car and they didn't have one for him. We had a conversation last night that he needed to call first, the airports are a mess and a ton of people probably grabbed cars to avoid being stuck. That was a good point, but he had a reservation so he was good to go.
One day he will just listen, but today we wasted 90 minutes.

It is McDonald's. They have been around for years. They have slightly different offerings now and then, but for the love of all that is holy, it is not rocket science. I haven't been to MickeyD's in a while, but I understand the frustration and I validate you!

This also works well when you have a dog in the car who loses her shit at the drive through window every. single. time.Β They're slow enough, I do not trust them to run things out to me in a timely manner! Honestly if their diet Coke wasn't superior to everyone's else's, plus closer to be than everyone else, I'd never go there. Complete incompetence at least half the time. My dog is odd, she hates riding in the car. I think it must make her stomach sick because occasionally she will vomit up a little froth in the car, and she swallows a lot and looks uneasy. So her car rides are limited to certain parks (she does get excited when we get close) or the occasional vet trip. She will be prancing at the door thrilled because she thinks we're going for a walk. If I then ask her if she wants to go for a ride in the car, she retreats to the living room and sits down. Lolol The only way I can get her to get in the car willingly (albeit, grudgingly and slowly) is to tell her we're going to find some dawgs. She knows that means the dog park. Otherwise, she tries to stay home.

When we used to go there were issues with the drive through lanes to and people trying to cut you off - so annoying.

The ads make no sense I am seeing them for medications for dogs with mobility issues - so seeing these poor animals having trouble walking. We don't own a dog. It seems to change pretty often but 90% of the time it is so far off LOL

For now, they've given up on me buying plus sized period panties, but they still give it a whirl every six months or so to see if I've changed my mind and now need them.

My vent is that I bought a new Dyson vacuum about 2 years ago and have had it in the box since then. I was waiting to open it when we got new carpet. Well, we got the new carpet and I tried to use it last night and the brush wont spin and it's like trying to push a shopping cart through sand. I took it to our office carpet and it works just fine. So apparently my new carpet it too plush. Now I have to find another vacuum to spend money on that will actually work.

I always have mini vents when I am out and about, but I forget about them quickly. I even say to myself that this is a vent for a thread on 2Peas, but when there are threads like this, I forget what they were!

I've used my Dyson on my very furry (long soft fibers) accent rug without problems.

Drivers who fail to pull over for emergency vehicles (in this case, an ambulance), who then speed up and don't let people who did pull over back into traffic safely. Actually, its not petty, but I'm still irritated 4 hours later - so that might be petty.
