Thank you all for the scallop square die suggestions! I was looking at the hero arts die set myself but can’t find a list of the sizes anywhere. I think my semi-local LSS carries it so I might have to investigate in person. Ali posted a photo in her IG stories of the 4x4 scallop squares next to a ruler and each scallop looked like it was 1cm, but I assume the 2x2s are different. There was a photo posted that showed the 2x2 tags on the paper with the scallop square boxes and I absolutely need to recreate that with photos. Hence my wild goose chase to find the perfect die. If I find one that is absolutely perfect, I will be sure to share. I might have to wait until I get the product in my eager hands to do a real comparison but I’m just so excited! If you need measurements on the AE scalloped squares let me know what you need, I have mine! Oh yay, thank you Linda! Could you tell me how wide each little scallop nub is? I’m going to take a ruler to my LSS and start measuring all their dies! 😂 I’m so glad you get to play with the supplies already, can’t wait to see what you make!

Lol this is how they get ya.
ETA: This is why I just ordered the stamp bundle right away. I always get sucked into the stamp inspiration.

I died when I saw this adorable ginger person after thinking this was an easy pass. Her stamping on both sides! Maybe I can just do digital? But I actually like the hand stamped look. Darn it!

I like the stamps but I am just not sure I will get enough use from them. Maybe I should get the digitals?

I like the stamps but I am just not sure I will get enough use from them. Maybe I should get the digitals? This is my issue too - the ginger people are adorable but I’d do three or four and be done… and I wouldn’t pay $7-$8 each if they were sold as an embellishment in the shop which is about the same cost as the stamp set for me. What we need is one pea to buy the stamp and populate the world with ginger people. Although it wouldn’t be worth it to get them to me all the way down here in oz 🥲 Or maybe I should just go through my stash, find the ginger person stamp I probably already own, and make them that way instead 😂

Or even trace some for a more handmade look. It's a very simple shape. I'm not good enough at cutting to make my own stamp (eraser, x-acto knife) but maybe I'll try. That little man with the mustache is killing me, holding that little star.

All this talk of gingerbread...Does anyone have a really good reciepe for gingerbread? Usually when I've made it in the past it's really hard and too much molasses flavor.
I'd love to add gingerbread people to our annual cookie day this year.

Thankful gingerbread anything is not really my thing. I will be selling those pieces of the main kit. And talked myself out of the tree stamp set, I have enough trees to create a similar look. Whew.

I am betting money someone is going to create a cut file for the ginger person shape (hoping because I am not a fussy cutter!). We do an annual gingerbread house deco party for my now 21 year old DD and her friends. We always do a craft , so this year we may need to make stamped ginger people? Last year I used the project from prep day that was like a window shaker with trees on the sides? We printed photos of the girls we took at the start of the party and then each of them backed their shaker with it - they were so cute.

I love the gingerbread people I have a section of my house each year that is decorated in my gingerbread dolls, a small tree with gingerbread theme and pictures so I really love that they are in AE collection this year. I am thinking I will have a day where my oldest grandson and I make some gingerbread cinnamon ornaments this year.

I'd love to add gingerbread people to our annual cookie day this year. I started a thread last year and got amazing responses. I tried several of the recipes and LOVED them. Unfortunately, I talked them into my Christmas cookie cookbook. Ha ha and I’m not digging that out of the attic for about two more months!

That little man with the mustache is killing me, holding that little star. Oh yeah, with a little block of the soft stuff that’s like eraser material (or an actual eraser) and a speedball lino carving kit that would be super easy to make. I have carved way more difficult shapes than that into pretty great looking stamps. The materials aren’t expensive and they’re pretty easy to find at artist supply shops, or maybe could be borrowed from a friendly art teacher. I’d just use a black pen for the face details instead of using the stamp which make them very easy to customize. And I feel like there should be tons of cheaper gingerpeople stamps and clip art and digitals out there. And print and cut files.

I can’t vouch for any of these personally (love the site but I’m not much of a baker) but if you like gingerbread flavor there’s a baked oatmeal and a gingerbread coffee creamer as well as a cookie recipe. www.budgetbytes.com/?s=Gingerbread

I'm just now discovering AE's DD 2024 collection (I know, I know - I was finally on holiday and decided to just enjoy myself). I hope everyone who ordered got what they wanted!
For the gingerbread people: the potato stamp method is your cheapest way of creating the body shape and stamping it multiple times. I love using potatoes to customise basic kraft wrapping paper. Once you're acquainted with the carving method, you can do detail stamps like moustaches and clothing. The faces can easily be drawn on with a pen. This would be such a fun method for those wanted to make special gingerbread people that have a unique meaning.
For those unfamiliar with potato stamping, here's a video showing you how to carve + stamp:

Also? I was surprised her Christmas stamps weren't on there that I saw. Maybe they are? I didn't see them. They should land on there soon-ish. Give the copiers a few weeks to catch up with the new release. They've been active with the new Lawn Fawn collections (and LF have been very aggressive in getting them taken down ASAP - I've been following how quickly new LF products are taken down.) I think my Elle’s Studio order should arrive tomorrow, so that’s exciting!👏🏻👏🏻 Ooooh, exciting! Are you sharing a pic of the haul when you get it? I'm having surgery next week (begnin, but general anaesthetic) so it was a great way to keep my mind busy. Hope you're ok! I've had my share of health issues and surgery this year so I get the need to keep your mind occupied on something else. Let us know when you're out of surgery, ok?

Hi peas, if the ae release isn’t your style I just wanted to flag that most of the Christmas kits, papers and journal cards are about 50% off at the moment at citrus twist kits. There’s a few stickers etc as well 😉 citrustwistkits.com/collections/sale?page=2

It's such a pretty collection! It's all pretty easy to mix with a variety of older products from different brands/designers, too, always a plus when we're all stuck with beloved leftovers of yore. And those chipboard stickers are just making me swoon.

My December Daily box is full of goodies, and I can't wait to get my new products! I decided to pick up the 10x8 album this year, but I may add the 4x6 album into my cart before the boxing period is over. The size is calling my name, and I think a 4x6 mini album showcasing my favorite ornaments would be a lot of fun.
I checked the calendar on Ali's site, and it looks like there are some sales coming up with items that can be added to the box. Does anyone know what type of sale(s) I can expect? I missed out on the big die cut pack, the chipboard word stickers, the die cut paper inserts, and the add on pack of 8x10 paper. I'd like to grab those items from previous years. Are past December Daily products featured during the sale period?
