I checked the calendar on Ali's site, and it looks like there are some sales coming up with items that can be added to the box. Does anyone know what type of sale(s) I can expect? I missed out on the big die cut pack, the chipboard word stickers, the die cut paper inserts, and the add on pack of 8x10 paper. I'd like to grab those items from previous years. Are past December Daily products featured during the sale period? I seem to remember that AE would feature older DD items for one day only and then feature different items on another day. I've been able to get great deals from those sales. One year, they featured digitals for $1, including the Main Kits for previous years. I am hoping some of the older Product Play classes go on sale. I've been going through the old Foundation Pages blog posts, and there are some techniques I'd like to try, and I guess the directions and downloads are in some of the Product Play classes.

I haven't ordered a thing or seen all the offerings yet this year but my first very DD thing to do this year was actually baking Christmassy cookies two weeks ago. Do not asked what possessed me. It was hot and yet there I was with my pine tree cookie cutter... 😂 I blame scrapbooking and Hallmark for having this mindset so early on in the year. 🌴🌞🎄

My December Daily box is full of goodies, and I can't wait to get my new products! I decided to pick up the 10x8 album this year, but I may add the 4x6 album into my cart before the boxing period is over. The size is calling my name, and I think a 4x6 mini album showcasing my favorite ornaments would be a lot of fun. On the 16th I believe it will be previous DD products then starting the week of the 23rd each day that week they are offering a discounted product for 24 hours. Ali stated on Instagram that there would be some stuff offered on discount that was not just DD items.

this is a fact! This morning I was like hmm, my dd box should ship soon, it’s been forever… oh yeah. It’s not even been a week, got about a month more boxing time. I am feeling this too! Hurry up and ship please! I'm convinced they could. It's just not as smart money-wise. Ali said they don't have all the items in the warehouse, but if that was the case, why wouldn't they reprint the 6x8 prompt papers?

Hallmark has confirmed several of their Countdown to Christmas projects and even started posting some sneak peeks. Up first in our thread, the new Tyler Hynes movie which is an official collab with the Kansas City Chiefs! US fans, rejoice. Your Thanksgiving weekend is about to get extra football-y (and romantic). 🏈❤️🦃 Holiday Touchdown, A Chiefs Love Story premiering the 30th of November: And one heck of a cute promo shot:

Nothing worse for me than seeing slow motion, everyone going crazy and the plot picking up with no explanation. I mean that as a tongue in cheek comment, but yeah. 😂

I've had my share of health issues and surgery this year so I get the need to keep your mind occupied on something else. Let us know when you're out of surgery, ok? I had only had bad experiences until now so I savour the change. Great team too. Phew.

If we can figure out the difference between foil, épée and sabre, we can figure out American football. 😆 I've been out of surgery a few hours. So far so good. Yay, so happy and relieved it went well and you had a wonderful medical team (a bit of a rare occurrence these days, alas). I hear doctor's orders are to rest, watch silly romance movies and obsess over your DD parcel. 😉

What classes did everyone sign up for? I always do the prep, but I am trying to decide whether to do both of the other classes or just one. Someone make up my mind!!! haha I did purchase the main kit for the first time, so not sure if that matters??

All this talk of gingerbread...Does anyone have a really good reciepe for gingerbread? Usually when I've made it in the past it's really hard and too much molasses flavor. I'd love to add gingerbread people to our annual cookie day this year. I've made these for the last 5-6 years and really like them. sallysbakingaddiction.com/best-gingerbread-cookies/*ETA - she does make mention in the top of the post about adding more molasses, so I imagine if you wanted to reduce it you could do so by also reducing some of the flour. But personally, I don't find them to have a really strong molasses flavour.

Re: gingerbread cookies - the Pioneer woman's gingerbread cookies are my go-to cookie every Christmas. On her site they only have 3 stars (although only like 5 people reviewed them - one of the reviews says it uses too much flour), but I love them. She adds Maple Extract which really adds to the flavour very subtly. My MIL is the world's best baker and even my husband prefers these to his mom's, for what that's worth lol - it's hard to beat a childhood recipe memory!

I’ve been enjoying the contributors on Ali’s blog. Some good ideas, and for free 😉 I agree! I'm not a big "red cup" person, and I didn't order the large vellum pieces, but I love what Jill Drangsholt did with them. I think I can re-create these on my own since the shapes aren't very complicated. I am definitely incorporating stitching again this year since I really enjoyed the look last year. I also love Linda Jordan's organization tips. Thank you, lasteve1, for including the pngs of the December calendar! I will most likely type my entries, and I love how the lettering matches the colors of the main kit. Yes, I will probably sign up for all three classes despite the free content...

I’m not a “red cup” fanatic either and the hoopla over it every year usually drives me to just stay off SM for the whole day because it annoys me so much. 😂 I hardly ever go to Starbucks anymore, and if I do I get an iced drink, so I don’t think I have ever even had a red cup. I have red cup diecuts and stickers from other releases (probably PP, maybe FYC) which I haven’t used. BUT DANG that oversized vellum cup looks really fun and despite my grinchy red cup attitude, I freaking loved Jill’s pocket. Even the simplicity of putting the wood star in the gold circle of the cup label made me 😍. I don’t think I’m going to get the vellum set, but there’s still time to waffle 😂

I'm on the fence about the classes.
Last year there were 30+ ideas. This year it's 12. ("During each of the four weeks of this workshop Ali + team will use these formulas to create a project in the three album sizes (meaning each week will include one 10x8 idea, one 4x6 idea, and one 6x8 idea using the product formulas").
Unless I'm reading that wrong.
Last year there were some good ideas and I feel like I got my money's worth.
Out of the 5 hybrid lessons, I loved one of the ideas but didn't make it. And I also loved and made one of the other ideas (but not using digital projects, just stuff from my stash). I felt that even what I paid for that was a not worth it as mostly they were teaching how to use photoshop and I'm already fluent enough. And I'm not going to start using Canva. But if the content had been good, 12$ for 5 lessons is a good value.
So I just don't know.
I love having a little video to watch during my lunch break but I'm not getting most of the products they're even using.
Prep day %100.

I'll hand cut it.

Do we know who is teaching the hybrid class? Denine's classes are definitely worthwhile. So are Jennie Rey's most of the time, but I couldn't do hers since I don't have the tools. I liked Rachel Hart's lesson. Have we gotten an update regarding who is teaching the hybrid class? I definitely don't want to waste my time watching someone clicking on their keyboard.

I'm getting all three classes. I love inspiration leading up to December. I always end up scraplifting Ali's stuff, so her ideas from the classes is great. The Hybrid classes are great, cause I learn new techniques. I don't use Canva, but it usually can translate to Affinity Photo.

Well, I guess they're actually bringing each other hot cocoa, because they sure drink a lot of cocoa in those movies...

Have we gotten an update regarding who is teaching the hybrid class? I'm not sure. There have been instagram posts from contributors but I have not paid attention to them. They are all people that I like (well, obviously the ones I follow). But I honestly don't know if I saw any for the hybrid class.

I will get Prep Day for sure. I really enjoy it every year, and it feels well worth $5 (less than the price of one Starbucks 😉😂), for the enjoyment I get out of it. I might get the Hybrid class eventually, but I’m going to hold off I think, and see what people think about it. I’m considering getting the older Storytelling with December Daily class instead. I keep hearing people mention it, and seeing people say that they watch it year after year, so I might spend money on it instead for now.

I just placed a little order at Scrapbook.com for some adhesive and page protectors. My next order needs to be photo papers, and ink for my Picturemate.
